You are wracked with a perverted sentimentality.

Summary:

Aka my take on Chara during the genocide run based off my interpretation of their chara-cter (haha) with canon hints and the narrachara theory!!

Also Chara literally says the title in canon if you commit genocide twice in a row

Chapter 1: 118 Left.

Summary:

Finished my second geno run today (Sans took only 9 tries this time!!)

Notes:

This was gonna be deleted today and UT has grabbed me by the neck and shoved me back into this fandom so have this (my personal POV of the UT geno run with Frisk as the perpetrator and Chara as an unwilling witness, note this isn't to portray Chara as pure good/incapable of wrong doing given it's stated in the chapter they don't care if Frisk wants to kill humanity, hell they encourage it)

Comment moderation because I do not care if you view Chara as pure evil or Frisk as an innocent did no wrong baby and if you try to "convince" me one way or the other I won't have it (and also spam bots)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

I was awoken again by the human, I do not know why that happens but it is unimportant. The human goes through Asriel Flowey's talk on LV and EXP while encouraging Frisk to kill, why does Asriel encourage such actions despite his refusal to do them himself causing this situation at all? Is it because he lacks a SOUL? I do not understand

They then meet Mom Toriel and eventually encounter the dummy they strike it down instead of following Toriel's instructions, fleeing or sparing it so much it flies away. This violent behavior follows when they kill the Froggit from the spike room before Toriel eventually leaves to make a pie, the human makes sure to encounter every monster that they can and while sure they are not violent with how they kill it isn't like it's merciful either, I mean it's a stick being used to kill after all.

Eventually Frisk makes it to Toriel's home, it's almost an exact replica of the house Asriel & I lived in with Mom & Dad, eventually Frisk takes a short nap while mom lays the slice of pie down, soon they wake up and then pester Toriel into going to the ruins exit. Frisk then kills her, I feel disgust? Repulsion? I am not sure what to call it. They then leave, Flowey mistakes Frisk for me by using the logic of "If I'm back then Chara has to be"

They then leave the ruins, I wonder will anyone notice that something is wrong? Will anyone acknowledge the dust on Frisk's clothes or the disappearance of so many monsters?

Sans does notice, he notices how Frisk doesn't react to anything not the whoopee cushion or the lamp, eventually he simply tells Frisk to keep pretending to be human for Papyrus' sake at least.

Eventually Frisk starts up their kills in Snowdin, the guards, Snowdrake and the teens were all quick kills and the only one somewhat long was Jerry which is interesting. I wonder if he knows what is happening or if it was simply unintentional. Frisk later kills Gyftrot and then they go to the waterfall-esc room and walk around for 2 minutes, before encountering Glyde. How odd

He was far from a quick kill, although I don't know if that's because of the stick or not but it was fun to watch Frisk struggle for a while. They eventually win and see Sans before entering Snowdin town, Sans gives them a warning that if they continue their genocide then they'll "have a bad time" and I'm intrigued by his threat. But Frisk simply kills Papyrus who still believed in them in the end how naive and foolish that belief is, but it feels familiar.. I don't want to dwell on that familiarity though

Frisk makes their way through waterfall and swiftly kills everyone in their way nothing eventful happens and Monster Kid thinks Frisk is a friend well until they get to the Mad Dummy, she in a fit of intense emotion fuses with her dummy form which is bittersweet to see knowing how she would've found her perfect (purrfect heh) body if she wasn't as mad then... it's an understandable feeling though the feeling of being out of place in your own body is familiar...

Shortly after the Mad Dummy encounter they go to Gerson's shop, for items presumably yet he's still there and talks about saving the others time by distracting Frisk... it's quite noble of him In a way, he also taunts Frisk saying he know their threats are empty and they can't kill him even if they wanted to... it's amusing to see Frisk's frustration..

They eventually encounter Monster Kid on the bridge although they mention how Undyne told them to stay away from Frisk because Frisk is a danger and she isn't even wrong about it although in some pathetic act of courage Monster Kid attacks Frisk but before they can get the kill Undyne takes the hit... it's so brave, so heroic... she doesn't even truly die, her DETERMINATION brings her a new form how fascinating..

Frisk dies quite a lot, I'm honestly amused no matter how easy the attacks seem to dodge they still get hit with spear after spear. It's quite bloody but it's nothing I haven't seen nor heard about I'm honestly happy Undyne didn't sit around and do nothing like others did, speaking of others where did Sans go? I haven't seen him since Snowdin, was it an empty threat? It seems unlikely, I didn't sit around and do nothing when Asriel was getting killed, I tried to get him to fight back he just wouldn't listen... but that's irrelevant to the subject at hand. Is he truly so lazy he'd let everyone die? I doubt it.

Frisk had killed Undyne while I was in thought and she mentioned Alphys and how she had already told everyone to evacuate during the fight. Seems Frisk will have an empty Hotland journey but is that so bad? I don't think so.

And as expected it's quite empty the puzzles are turned off, Alphys isn't in her lab, the royal guard duo aren't at the entrance area although Mettaton is at the lab and he does taunt Frisk saying that the world needs "more stars than corpses" which I have mixed statements on, personally I have no care if Frisk wipes humanity out however monsters are another story, it makes no sense as to why Frisk would cause harm. Are they simply evil? Or just bored? I am unsure.

As expected nothing else was of note, the royal guards went down quickly and I honestly feel nothing but pity towards them, I get "royal guard duty" and all but it's a mass genocide going on do they not wish to let themselves live instead of sacrificing themself for others that'll still die? Monsters truly are different from humans aren't they?

The resort was a walk in the park, no one was there aside from Burgerpants who just didn't get the memo I suppose? Afterall Mettaton "sometimes doesn't even call him into work" which definitely isn't good boss etiquette but who am I to judge I haven't had a job before and then like Gerson Frisk's threats don't even work afterall he can't go to hell he's "already out of vacation days" truly an appropriate response. Frisk eventually just stacks up their inventory aside from two slots and leaves for the CORE.

They wipe out most within two or three hits, unfortunate. Then they encounter Mettaton who has an entirely new form and I'm genuinely interested but then he's killed in a single slash.. disappointing, Frisk then leaves and listens to Asriel Flowey tell the story of me & him, although at the end Frisk's just grinning as Asriel realizes that Frisk will kill him as well.. that he'll die again and I'm far from happy.

Frisk enters the last corridor before applying MY locket and equipping MY knife, truly disrespectful to not only steal my things but to use them when they inevitably kill my father and brother. Humans truly are vile beings.

They reach the middle of the corridor before the missing man shows up, guess that "bad time" thing wasn't a bluff. How very interesting

Notes:

I hate that ao3 doesn't save your writing on it's own. I had to rewrite this because I wanted to fact check things what the fuck, sorry it's probably bad/rushed in the Ruins & Snowdin parts

Chapter 2: Because you can, you have to.

Summary:

I've done 3 geno runs to completion over that time Sans has killed me over 100 times. Undyne has got me like 40 something.

Chapter Text

So here he is the skeleman himself. He better make this worth it I want to see a megalomaniac get beat up okay?

"heya. you've been busy huh? so i've gotta question for ya. do you think even the worst person can change? that everybody can be a good person if they just try? heh heh heh. all right here's a better question do you wanna have a bad time? cause if you take another step forward you are REALLY not going to like what happens next."

Jeez all this speech stuff is for nothing just beat them already. And of course Frisk walks forward with this look on their face it's gross to look at they seem genuinely entertained with their sins... humans are truly disgusting creatures..

"welp. sorry old lady this is why i never make promises."

This better be a good fight for all the lame speech stuff he just spewed.

He initiates the fight and starts talking again

"it's a beautiful day outside birds are singing, flowers are blooming. on days like these kids like you... should be burning in hell." And Sans attacks first. Oh boy am I loving how this looks for Frisk.

Frisk dies on the first attack because they don't know what the hell they're doing because Sans isn't playing by their rules and that's the best part of this whole thing.

"heya. you look frustrated about something, guess i'm pretty good at my job huh?" Oh this will be fun to watch.

Frisk makes it past the first attack but soon dies to another

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died twice in a row. suffice to say you look really unsatisfied... all right how 'bout we make it a third?"

Frisk gets past a few attacks and then dies as per expected of them

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died thrice in a row. hey what's after trice anyway? wanna help me find out?

And Frisk dies on the same attack as last time

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died quice in a row. quice? frice welp, won't have to use it again anyways."

Frisk makes it further but still dies

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died five times in a row. convenient, huh? that's one for each finger. but soon... you'll need a cool mutant hand to count all of your deaths." What a way to tell them they suck at dodging Sans I couldn't have said it better myself

And Frisk dies as expected

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died six times in a row. that's the number of fingers on a mutant hand.  but soon... you'll need to find a mutant hand with even more fingers." Sans you really need to sound actually intimidating with this stuff

Frisk dies again... it's getting repetitive honestly.

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died seven times in a row. hey, that's good. seven's supposed to be a lucky number. who knows, maybe you'll hit the jackpot... and that number will multiply tenfold."

And again

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died eight times in a row. that's the number of fingers on a spider. but soon... wait, don't spiders have legs?"

And again

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died seven times in a row. ... nope, wait, that's definitely nine, sorry. or was it ten?"

And again

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died ten times in a row. hey, congrats! the big one-oh! let's invite all your friends over for a big shindig. we can have pie, and hot dogs, and... hmmm... wait. something's not right. you don't have any friends." And I actually laugh at that one because he's right, I'm not their friend and Asriel isn't anymore either as usual Frisk died

"hmm. that expression... that's the expression of someone who's died eleven times in a row. well, give or take. there's nuance to this stuff. don't think i'll be able to count very well from here. count for me, ok? we'll start from 12"

Frisk didn't die this time, well not until later, bone after bone impaled them. The scene was bloody and Sans was just dodging no matter how much Frisk attacked and then, he stopped offered mercy Frisk accepted out of curiosity probably and was swiftly killed they were simply told to "get dunked on" by Sans and then being told that if the two were really friends that Frisk wouldn't come back but we both knew they would..

Which was proven correct when they do indeed return looking more pissed than ever. They get through the first two attacks before I actually start listening to Sans speak and some things he says catch my attention..

"what? you think i'm just gonna stand there and take it?" He's clearly trying to get them upset and it works of course as that dead expression Frisk usually wears changed into an annoyed frown they still get hit a few times which takes away from any intimidation factor they could've had.

"our reports showed a massive anomaly in the timespace continuum. timelines jumping left and right, stopping and starting..." huh I wonder what 'our' is about him & who? Alphys maybe but how come she seems so uninvolved in any of this, sure she led evacuation but why any monster could do that. Oh well I doubt I'll ever know now.

"until suddenly, everything ends." He means the RESETs right? I mean that's the most logical explanation yet how do he know that shouldn't be possible while others are aware of Frisk's existence seeming familiar they never seem to be aware that Frisk themself can repeat their adventure underground or come back from the dead aside from Asriel Flowey, Asgore and that one Temmie... maybe I'm just thinking about this too much...

"heh heh heh... that's your fault, isn't it?" Yeah nevermind this guy knows something is up, the only one who knows Frisk can cause a perpetual groundhog day is Flowey who had the ability to do so in the past so how does this bag of bones know? Whatever..

"you can't understand how this feels. knowing that one day, without any warning... it's all going to be reset." he actually just outright said it huh? But how the hell is he informed of that if someone like Undyne who can have enough DETERMINATION to revive herself isn't? Is it not related to DETERMINATION at all?

"look. i gave up trying to go back a long time ago. and getting to the surface doesn't really appeal anymore, either. cause even if we do... we'll just end up right back here, without any memory of it, right?" God this fight feels like a mind game even Frisk is caught off guard by some of the things he says but that seems to just make them enjoy the fight more... like it's some sort of equally grounded fight, how disgusting.

"to be blunt... it makes it kind of hard to give it my all.... or is that just a poor excuse for being lazy...? hell if i know." Who truly does know something like that? I mean being hyper aware of the fact nothing matters yet doing nothing to try and make something matter, do I even have a right to judge if that's laziness or something else?

"all i know is... seeing what comes next... i can't afford not to care anymore." Huh not being able to afford not caring, could I do something like that as well?

"ugh... that being said... you, uh, really like swinging that thing around, huh? ... listen. i know you didn't answer me before, but... somewhere in there. i can feel it. there's a glimmer of a good person inside of you. the memory of someone who once wanted to do the right thing. someone who, in another time, might have even been... a friend? c'mon, buddy. do you remember me? please, if you're listening... let's forget all this, ok? just lay down your weapon, and... well, my job will be a lot easier." God he still wants them to turn back? After everything? Is he naive or is he trying to make them think he's naive? Oh well we all know Frisk will just keep fighting..

"woah, you look REALLY pissed off... heheheh... did i getcha? well, if you came back anyway... i guess that means we never really WERE friends, huh? heh. don't tell that to the other sans-es, ok?" I wonder does Asriel feel that way about me right now... that we weren't friends? I don't think I want to imagine that...

"sounds strange, but before all this i was secretly hoping we could be friends. i always thought the anomaly was doing this cause they were unhappy. and when they got what they wanted, they would stop all this." 'Anomaly' huh? Is this really his first time in this situation? I mean this is the first time Frisk has done something like this but... no I don't want to think of that possibility!

"and maybe all they needed was... i dunno. some good food, some bad laughs, some nice friends. but that's ridiculous, right? yeah, you're the type of person who won't EVER be happy." The words are harsh yet only make Frisk smile wider then they ever have... gross

"you'll keep consuming timelines over and over, until... well. hey. take it from me, kid. someday... you gotta learn when to QUIT." Ah he's getting tired isn't he? What a shame he could've been way more effective if he had more stamina but yet again is that truly something I can blame on him with stats like those...

"and that day's TODAY. cause... y'see.. all this fighting is really tiring me out. and if you keep pushing me... then i'll be forced to use my special attack." Special attack? That sounds familiar... yeah Papyrus mentioned having one before as well I wonder if his is anything like what this'll be.

"yeah, my special attack. sound familiar? well, get ready. cause after the next move, i'm going to use it. so, if you don't wanna see it, now would be a good time to die." We both know they won't die now if anything they have the incentive to survive longer more than before...

"well, here goes nothing... are you ready? survive THIS, and i'll show you my special attack!" Heh heh you can't fool me Sans, this is the final attack isn't it? Well who am I to doubt his capabilities I mean he's gotten this far already but yet again so has Frisk... well I guess I'll have to wait and see..

It took Frisk what felt like ages to get past that single attack it honestly was entertaining to watch but alas they got past it in the end...

"huff... puff... all right. that's it. it's time for my special attack. are you ready? here goes nothing. yep. that's right. it's literally nothing. and it's not gonna be anything, either. heh heh heh... ya get it? i know i can't beat you. one of your turns... you're just gonna kill me. so, uh. i've decided... it's not gonna BE your turn. ever. i'm just gonna keep having MY turn until you give up. even if it means we have to stand here until the end of time. capiche? you'll get bored here. if you haven't gotten bored already, i mean. and then, you'll finally quit. i know your type. you're, uh, very determined, aren't you? you'll never give up, even if there's, uh...  absolutely NO benefit to persevering whatsoever.  if i can make that clear. no matter what, you'll just keep going. not out of any desire for good or evil... but just because you think you can. and because you "can"... you "have to." but now, you've reached the end. there is nothing left for you now. so, uh, in my personal opinion... the most "determined" thing you can do here? is to, uh, completely give up. and... (yawn) do literally anything else." Smart in theory but we both know that Frisk doesn't play fair, I mean they can't even die for real how annoying...

Of course Sans ended up leaving a blind spot for Frisk to attack when he fell asleep, of course Frisk won in the end... how frustrating.

"Heh, didja really think you would be able to-" he was cut off by a very deep slash using my knife the audacity to do that.. it makes me sick.

"so... guess that's it, huh? ... just... don't say i didn't warn you. welp. i'm going to grillby's. papyrus, do you want anything?" What did he mean by 'don't say I didn't warn you' that doesn't make a lot of sense does he mean Flowey or Asgore? Because with the amount of LV Frisk has now it'd barely be much of a challenging battle and even then would either of them wish to fight at all?

Frisk just smiled as they walked towards the throne room... I wonder if anyone used the human SOULs?

Apparently no one did, Asgore left himself wide open to any attacks and Asriel.... he just plead to live despite it being hopeless in the end... after that last kill it all went black until...

Chapter 3: If everything gets high enough, you become invincible. Nothing can hurt you anymore. Nothing can hurt anyone anymore.

Chapter Text

How interesting it seems as if the universe ceased to exist in it's current state, oh well I suppose that's something Frisk doesn't need to know afterall it's just the two of us.

"Greetings. I am Chara. Thank you. Your power awakened me from death. My "human soul." My "determination." They were not mine, but YOURS. At first, I was so confused. Our plan had failed, hadn't it? Why was I brought back to life? ... You. With your guidance. I realized the purpose of my reincarnation. Power. Together, we eradicated the enemy and became strong. HP. ATK. DEF. GOLD. EXP. LV. Every time a number increases, that feeling... That's me. "Chara." Now, we have reached the absolute. There is nothing left for us here. Let us erase this pointless world, and move on to the next."

Of course I haven't been entirely faithful with this retelling, Frisk does disgust me truly they do but I am indebted to them as well unfortunately as a partner or perhaps something less than that...

Frisk isn't the merciful type yet they still hesitate how pathetic. They chose this path already did they not? Eventually however they chose to decline the offer, how odd.

"No...? Hmm... How curious. You must have misunderstood. SINCE WHEN WERE YOU THE ONE IN CONTROL?"

I don't mean that I'm some evil mastermind but I mean what made them think they had a choice in this? I simply am just doing what they have already done, and so I did just that and destroyed the empty world they had left behind.

Yet they still remained in the nothingness that was the remnants of the underground... how strange.

"Interesting. You want to go back. You want to go back to the world you destroyed. It was you who pushed everything to its edge. It was you who led the world to its destruction. But you cannot accept it. You think you are above consequences."

For the first time the human had spoken a simple agreement to my statement, which was expected afterall no matter how aware of it they are a human will never change it's flaws but instead deflect, project or in this situation proudly accept those flaws.

"Exactly. Perhaps. We can reach a compromise. You still have something I want. Give it to me. And I will bring this world back." They nodded. "Then it is agreed. You will give me your SOUL." They hesitated before declining, as expected a human fears something they cannot grasp or predict the outcome of.

"Then stay here for all eternity."

Notes:

Did you expect the (maybe) twist? I just couldn't in good faith remove any of Chara's dialogue but I can give an interpretation of it!
