It was an accident.
He didn't mean to.
It had just happened.
Sebastian was in the kitchen, shirtless and just in a pair of boxers. It was a lazy Sunday morning and he was cleaning their coffee cups up from breakfast. Kimi was in the living room watching TV, or he should have been.
At this point Kimi was actually watching Sebastian quietly cleaning in the kitchen and decided to come to him for a cuddle. He watches his boyfriend hum along to the 80s radio station and he feels awash with love for him. Sebastian was perfect.
He creeps closer to his boyfriend and lifts his fingers to gently tap on his shoulder.
Sebastian, for his part, had been unaware of Kimi's move. And since the night before Sebastian had let his dragon out, it was still there on the surface this morning.
Before Kimi could move or blink, there’s a sudden crack and two large green wings burst free of Sebastian’s back. One of them knocking Kimi straight in his face and onto his back. His body hitting the floor with a thunk.
Sebastian? He's watching all of this in horror as his outstretched wings hit the sides of the kitchen and knock everything over within reach. In a flash he tries to tuck the large and awkward appendages to his sides and drops to the floor, trying to help Kimi up from the floor. “Fuck! Kimi! Are you okay?”
Kimi lets out a little groan and touches his bleeding nose. “Shit, remind me never to sneak up on you…”
“Is it broken?” Sebastian asks, his voice shaking.
Kimi gingerly touches his nose, shaking his head. “No….not broken….I don't think?”
Sebastian watches the blood gush from his nose and he makes a pained sound. “I think it might be….”
Kimi huffs quietly, keeping his head down as he grabs a tissue. “If it is. How are we going to explain this?”
“You ran into the fridge?” Sebastian asks sheepishly as Kimi glares up at him. “Okay maybe not that. But look. I can take you to a hospital that usually sees dragons.”
“Fucking hospital…” Kimi mutters, voice forlorn. “All I wanted was a cuddle.”
Sebastian looks sadly at him and then closes his eyes, giving a little shiver as his wings start to bend and twist back into his back. Kimi still is unnerved by the act but he makes sure not to look.
“Look….I'm sorry….what we did last night actually made the dragon side of me super close. I didn't mean to hurt you.” Sebastian looks like a kicked puppy.
Kimi finds he can't really be mad at that face and he just sighs heavily. “It's…okay. You're forgiven. But hospital? Seriously?”
“A dragon hospital. I know you hate hospitals but it's better this way.” Sebastian says softly and then gives a little grin. “If you go with me. I will allow you to ask the dragons there any questions you want.”
Kimi looks interested, which makes Sebastian smile more, and then nods his agreement.
“Fine. But after I want cuddles and I want your wings around me.”
“Deal. Now let me get dressed and we will go.” Sebastian tells him.
Kimi grumbles his consent and watches as Sebastian moves to find some clothes, marveling at the twists and turns his life has taken since he started dating a dragon.
He didn't mind really. Broken noses and all.
