Chapter Text
‘Book Page - 22
Lesbian
I like dogs, reading, baseball, cuddling and tea.’
Book stared at the phone for a few seconds before sighing. This wasn't going to work.
‘I also like garage rock, specifically The Black Keys, and folk rock, specifically Mumford & Sons. I speak English, French, Latin, Greek and German, and I'm quite fluent in Spanish!’
This wasn’t nearly good enough.
‘My ideal first date is… at the local café with some good books and conversation! You can win me over with… Fun facts, being caring, food, or music!’
Book sighed. “Nobody's gonna care. I'm the most boring person on the planet!” Frankly, the only reason she was trying was because she had run out of ideas. If it weren't the middle of summer, she'd try to find someone herself, but she hated going out and she hated people and she hated the heat and she hated having to make her own friends. Nobody on her team was willing to hang out with her, of course - Taco and Ice Cube were obvious nos, Lollipop, Saw and Gaty still wanted nothing to do with her, and Dora was… well, Dora. She wasn't interested in Teardrop, and she knew she wasn't interested in her either. The only option left was… online dating.
She groaned.
‘I'm looking for something casual, but I'm open to long-term relationships.’
No harm in trying.

She went on to mindlessly swipe for a few minutes. Nobody here was good enough. They were all either uninteresting, incompatible or crazy. She already knew this was a bad idea.
Then she came upon somebody who caught her eye. Pillow Lavender - someone she knew from Death PACT.
‘Pillow Lavender - 23
Lesbian
I lik girls! And reserch! I hat reeding tho >:( but I lik reserch! N killing :)’
Book was… surprised. She wasn’t sure what to think. Pillow was really pretty - gorgeous, in fact - but she was insane. She liked killing, hated reading, and from what she could tell observing her from afar, was quite psychopathic.
‘I luv bassball, n the black keys,!!’
She raised an eyebrow.
‘I spek English (kidna). My ideal first date is… cafe or ball game :) or beech! I luv the beech :D I also lov girls :) You can win me over with… food!’
Well, that was another thing they had in common. Book also loved girls and food.
‘I'm looking for a long-term relationship, but I'm open to casual hook-ups.’
Almost instinctively, Book swiped right. She knew this would go badly, but she didn't particularly care at the moment - she just wanted to see somebody, even if that somebody was Pillow.
[It's a match!]
Wait, what?!
