Work Text:
Its a sunny Saturday. A few clouds in the sky, and a fresh breeze.
‘I’m boreeeddddd,’ Kinsley says, sitting on the ground
‘Go do something then?’ Perrine answers him.
‘But there is nothing to do…’
‘Go play outside.’ ‘No.’
‘Why not?’ ‘Wait,’ they immediately stands up, ‘Where are Cole and Clemmie?’
‘In- in their bedroom, probably.’
‘I can’t hear them. And there is only one whole curtain between us..’ They look behind the green-curtain. ‘Nope they aint in here’
Perrine sighs. ‘Then go find them! Then you’ll have something to do, right?’
‘hhmmhhh…’ Kingsley thinks about that for a moment. ‘Fine.’
Perrine smiles. ‘I’m going to stay here, but good luck finding them!’
‘Thank you skibidipookie!’ Kinsley smiles while walking away.
Perrine watches him go.. what the flip is that supposed to mean.
Kingsley stands outside now. In their village, it used to be a big field with pretty much nothing but grass. Now there live a lot of people! At least Kinsley thinks it’s a lot. They’ve never been in a bigger village. In the middle of the village is their stage. Well not only for them. But they- The Lark- always preform there. They sing songs that once belonged to their gods.
Kingsley is now outside the village, in the forest. Cole and Clemmie probably wanted some privacy to… To kiss or something. They are dating, and care a lot about each other.
‘COOOOLEEEEEEE!! CLEEMIIEEEEEEEEEE!?’ they shout loudly. No answer.
After 10 minutes of searching, and already being pretty deep into the forest, they give up and sit on a tree trunk. They sigh, once again being bored.
The kid is about to go back but then they see a little frog. ‘Oh, hi there little one.’ They try to Catch the frog. After 2 times they succeed. The frog looks a little confused but doesn’t try to escape. ‘hmh.. I have to give you a name!’ Kingsley puts their hand on their chin, then point their finger in the air, ‘Aha! I’m going to name you Kingsley jr.’
The frog doesn’t react.
‘HEY! Don’t tell me your boring tooo:(’
The frog makes a frog sound.
Kingsley overly dramatically sighs. ‘auughh… I’m going to take you home. Maybe Cole and Clementine are already there too, Kingsley. Jr.’
The kid and the frog are about to leave, when they hear the sound of a guitalele. Not just a guitalele. Coles guitalele! Kingsley runs towards the sound.
There they finally find Cole and Clematine. ‘THERE YOU GUYS AREEEE, I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU FOR THE PAST YEARS!’ The 2 teens quickly look up. ‘Hi there, Kingsley,’ The straight, blonde haired teen says. ‘past years huh,’ The one with the golden curls says
‘Do you guys want to play with me?’ Kingsley says exited. Cole and Clementine look at each other awkwardly. ‘I- I’m sorry Kingsley-’ Cole answers them, ‘We were already doing something,’ Clemmie says, finishing Cole’s sentence. Kingsley looks around. ‘But you’re just sitting here.. Welp, then I want to join sitting’
‘Me and Cole are like uhm… On a date?’ They both start blushing a little bit. Kingsley laughs. ‘Well.. I made a new friend anyways,’ They hold up the frog, ‘This is Kingsley junior!’
‘Wowie!’ Cole says, more exited, since they like animals. ‘Can I hold it?’ ‘hmh.... that’ll be 100 crickets!’
‘Kingsley what the fuck,’ Clementine says.
