“Hey Buck, why are you looking so happy? Ooh, did you meet someone? Are they cute?” May had bounded into the kitchen to grab a drink, but she immediately saw the shy smile on her brother’s face and teasing him was too much to resist. Buck shook his head, trying to deny everything, but felt his cheeks flush anyway. “You DID! Come on, spill! Ooh do you have a picture?”“May, quit it. I’m not saying anything.” He muttered. Wrong move.
“No, you need to tell us! I mean, what if they’re, like really wrong for you? Don’t you think we should tell you before you get too invested?” She tried to coax. “And what if you think they’re cute but they’re really really ugly?”
“But surely if I think they’re cute then that’s all that matters, right?” He reasoned. Even if May thought Eddie was ugly (although she’d be blind not to, the man was a complete adonis. Those pretty brown eyes, that wide smile, those arms...Jesus), it didn’t matter.
