In Khoro the wintery weather was harsh in the colder months, the wind whipping around pulling the top layers of snow with it, it shifted about like magic.
Tallulah traversed the land, chills running through their body as they shiver. They finally came upon their destination, a cozy looking library.
Entering the library the warm air eased the chill in Tallulah’s bones, they let out a sigh.
“Tallulah?” A voice called out to them.
Looking up Tallulah saw Kavi walking towards them.
“H-hey K-avi!” Tallulah greeted, the chattering of their teeth giving away how cold they are.
“Are you okay? Did you not bundle up properly before heading out?” Kavi asked worriedly.
“I did, I g-guess I was just out longer th-than expected, a-and I’m not exactly m-made for the cold.” Tallulah chattered.
“Let's get you warmed up then” Kavi offered.
Tallulah nodded, they followed Kavi upstairs.
Upstairs was a cozy living space, a living room, kitchen with a dinner table, bathroom, and bedroom. Kavi led Tallulah to the living room, having them plop down on the couch.
Kavi walked off into their bedroom, coming out with a blanket that they carefully wrapped around Tallulah. Afterwards they made their way to the kitchen, Tallulah could hear the sounds of Kavi making something but they couldn't quite tell what.
While waiting Tallulah looked around, they could see pictures of their adventures, and a few drawings Cassydin made for them. There was one in particular that caught Tallulah's eye, one they remember…
They were in Equiar, they had visited Cassydin’s place of work before heading off to their apartment. Cassydin dragged someone along with them, when they got there the apartment was fairly small, however it was still very comfortable. Everyone found some place to sleep, Cassydin fell asleep on their bed leaning up against the person, given who it was, it was a bit of a shock. Others took blankets and pillows and slept on the carpeted floor, some on the couch. That's when the picture was taken.
After a bit Kavi returned with a tray that held two cups of hot cocoa and some snacks.
Tallulah perked up at the site and started smiling widely. The warmth from the mug soothed the chill in Tallulah's hands, and the drink served to warm their insides nicely, and comfortingly.
Kavi, after setting everything up within reaching distance, wandered over to a bookcase they had nearby and grabbed a book. The book itself was something Kavi had read before, however they knew Tallulah would enjoy its contents.
Kavi quickly made their way back to Tallulah and sat down, shifting so they’d be under the blanket too, with Tallulah in front of them so Kavi’s body heat could help further warm Tallulah, and also so they could read the book together.
Eventually between the atmosphere and comfortable presence of Kavi, Tallulah eventually fell asleep. When Kavi noticed this they gently brought them to their room so they could sleep peacefully on the bed. Kavi left to go clean up the living room, and the dishes, but when they were done they slipped into bed as well and carefully wrapped their arms around Tallulah. They eventually fell asleep cuddling Tallulah.

Bonus story.
Tallulah woke up in Kavi’s arms, with the sun gently filtering through the window it made Kavi's skin look golden. With the sight and feeling filling their mind and body with warmth, Tallulah thought this would make for a great poem.
