Summary
Alone after the events in Dun Dolmar, after almost killing Eskel, Geralt is adrift, trying to live with what happened, and with how the world is changing around him. When Geralt is offered a strange contract in Toussaint, he is more than willing to take it, understanding that Duchess might not want the Dragon Witchers in her territory. And yet, the deeper he gets into the conspiracy, the stranger things get, old regrets and new friendships haunting Geralt's steps. Not to mention that engimatic healer, that begins to occupy his mind.
Meanwhile Vesemir and Lambert begin to gather the survivors of the other schools, a cat vanished, and they are asked for help, recruiting Garanwyn's support for their travel through Nilfgaard's occupied territories. Traveling and fighting together, Vesemir and Lambert come upon a vengeance waiting to happen and also learn about some of the consequences the Nilfgaardian Huntsmen training had.
