“the monster’s gone.” a soft feminine voice crooned soothingly into the silent room, her delicate fingers gently threading through her daughter’s dark locks with a touch that carried the weight of a thousand comforting embraces.
“he’s on the run, and your mommy’s here..” Sakura continued, her pink hair cascading around her shoulders, catching the dim light that filtered through the window. Her voice was a gentle lullaby, each word a soothing balm that chased away the remnants of the nightmare. The tenseness in Sarada’s small body began to ebb away, the lingering fear dissolving in the warmth of her mother’s embrace.
“beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.. beautiful girl..”
