Summary:

During his third year at only eighteen, he was sold to the Todoroki family.

He was set to marry their youngest son, Shoto Todoroki, with whom he'd have to remain with, and produce future successors of their combined powerful quirks.

Notes:

- Shoto/Katsuki are a tad bit OOC here, but it's all for naration purposes and the situation at hand

- Shoto is not a good person in this story.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Katsuki Bakugou lived a normal life with stubborn yet loving parents.

That all changed, however, when he presented at fifteen, during his first year at UA highschool.

Many people complimented the blond and fawned over him for his model-like features and powerful quirk. However, after his presentation, they acted as if he held the same worth as the dirt they walked upon.

His presentation hit him hard in the middle of the night, during his second semester of school. His gums were sore and a lower burning feeling overcame his lower stomach.

There was a lot of blood and pain that night, as no one came to check on Katsuki, even though his cries for help probably rattled the walls of the Height's Alliance.

During his stays with his parents over the weekend, they started to pick up on small changes about the blond that were starting to become apparent.

They picked up on the slightest scent of caramel and spice one day, along with finding sanitary towels in his bathroom cabinet while Mitsuki was spring cleaning his room.

He was confronted one Friday evening, when he returned home to his parents. There was a lot of crying and screaming involved that held no sign of humour like they usually did.

He was threatened that if they didn't manage to sell him by the age of sixteen, they would throw him on the streets to fend for his own ‘worthless’ and ‘pathetic’ self.

-

Enji Todoroki had a plan.

A plan that would ensure that his legacy was passed down from generation to generation. His youngest son turned out to be a charming but blunt alpha, who he found hard to connect with.

Shoto Todoroki, however, had a perfect balance of both his mother's ice quirk and his father's fire. He was their perfect child.

And now, it was time to find his son a mate.

An omega who had a strong hero-worthy quirk.

Someone who he could be betrothed to by eighteen, and pass down those genes onto a new potential successor, to ensure that their family's name never fell through.

The adolescent alpha was against the idea his father tried to plant in his head at first. He wanted to focus on his training and studies, not an omega who would only get in the way of those very things.

Though, after a few phone calls were made, his father promised him only the best, and that he would meet his future bride the following week.

A newly presented omega, who he apparently knew really well.

-

It all came together once that week finally arrived, and none other than his feisty classmate stood in front of him, head bowed in greeting, and the heavy hand of his father restraining him by the shoulder.

Katsuki Bakugou.

How could he decline such an appetising offer? The blond looked gorgeous - dressed in red that brought out his pale skin and matched his deep ruby eyes.

Not a word was spoken between the two during that night. Katsuki was not his usual outgoing and overbearing self that he was in class. It appeared he'd been replaced by a reserved and softer version of that figure.

-

When Katsuki received the news that someone was interested in buying him for the purpose of an arranged-quirk marriage, he was not pleased.

He resorted to violence, like he usually did, only his mother won against him.

On one hand, he would be rescued from the hell scape he called home.

Whilst on the other, he would be doomed to a person who he had absolutely no romantic chemistry with and forced to be a stay at home slave to him and his wishes.

At the sight of Shoto Todoroki, his classmate, he bit the inside of his cheek until it burst with blood.

His family and the Todorokis sat around the dinner table, Katsuki mistaking Fuyumi for Shoto's mother, only to be informed that their actual dam had been sent to a mental hospital when Shoto was only five.

He wanted to leave his broken household, but not enter a new one. But the blond knew, that he had no say in the matter.

His rights as soon as he became an omega were torn from his grasp and ripped to shreds.

He was nothing but an easy load of cash to his parents, and a baby machine to his promised mate.

It was funny how something of nature's plan could become such a burden and curse so quickly.

-

Both families waited until both their sons were eighteen until they betrothed the two.

Dressed in traditional Japanese wedding attire, Katsuki walked down the aisle to come into contact with the man he would be forced to wake up to for the rest of his entire life.

His heart raced in his chest, as he thought back to his fights and arguments with his parents, and how he somehow still managed to end up where he was today.

The priest officiated them as Alpha and Omega, and Shoto pulled his newly wedded bride into a forceful kiss as he swept him off the ground, catching him by surprise.

A person he did not expect to appear at the wedding was Shoto's mother, Rei. She was a gentle soul who congratulated Katsuki.

Her words, however, did not match her expression, as he could see the pity and shame in her eyes as she stared at the young omega and the inescapable life he has found himself in.

The two ended up staying in a hotel on the coast for their honeymoon, as the infamous Todorokis loved to spend money.

It was then that Katsuki knew what came next.

He was forcefully taken by his new husband that night.

The bedsheets an angry red colour in the aftermath.
the blond cried himself to sleep that night.

Fuck his parents. Fuck everyone.

-

As a wedding gift, and part of the original plan, Enji bought the newlyweds an exact replica of their current traditional Japanese house somewhere in town.

The house had a large backyard where Shoto could visualise their pups playing in with one another.

The alpha hoped that their honeymoon paid off, and that they would start their journey to finding the perfect successor for him to pass his knowledge down onto.

Despite only having graduated UA highschool a couple weeks before their wedding, he'd say that his skills were on the same level as his old man's.

Katsuki unpacked his things in one of the guest bedrooms of the house, but was immediately guided to the master bedroom, where he would be sleeping with his husband…

He was truly terrified for what was to come next.

-

The sounds of heaving could be heard from the bedroom's ensuite bathroom, as Shoto got up in the night to yell at Katsuki for not shutting the door and ruining his sleep that was needed for his assigned job on the field the following morning.

The blond could not react to the other, as he was too busy throwing up his dinner in the toilet.

The next morning was a different story, as Shoto acted as if he hadn't slammed the door in Katsuki's face that night, and was instead excited for the potential pup that was to come.

Shoto even hired a private doctor to come do weekly check ups on him, to ensure that he and the pup were healthy and stable.

Katsuki wouldn't say he was stable. Far from that, actually.

Back at the wedding, Rei had given him her details if he ever needed to vent to her over a letter or have someone to talk to that was not Shoto.

He was grateful for that. And so he started writing letters to her and informed her about her grandpup on the way.

-

Kito Todoroki was born on 5 August, at 5:30 am.

He was born prematurely, so he was tiny and could almost fit in the size of Shoto's palm.

Katsuki was exhausted from having to push for 13 hours with breaks in between, in one of the guest beds instead of a proper hospital bed, with a midwife that Shoto had called over.

His childhood had probably hammered into his head all these traditional life choices and tatse which Katsuki was not a fan of.

Despite all the pain and gloom he felt, he could only feel a sense of adoration and pure love when he looked down at his newborn bundle.

The pup looked a bit rough, with skin almost purple, and a head already of white-blond hair.

They were yet to see his eye colour, as his eyes were still fluttered shut, but Katsuki silently hoped for it to be his,

not those cold blue eyes that triggered something deep in him.

The rest of the Todoroki family arrived to come see the new addition to the family. No one bothered to ask how Katsuki was feeling after his labour and stitches, they only snatched the pup from his chest and made bets on what his quirk would turn out to be

Katsuki grew overwhelmed and emotional, as it felt as if a part of him was ripped from his grasp and then came heavy tears which made themselves present. Threatening to fall down pale cheeks.

Fuyumi looked at him for a brief second with sympathy in her eyes, before she looked down at her new nephew and sighed deeply.

She handed him back to Katsuki and suggested to the others that they leave the new family in peace for now.

After she lead everyone out of the room, it was only the alpha, omega and their pup left,.

surrounded by an atmosphere of uncertainty.

“You better get some rest. Your eyes have sunken in and it's not a good look on you.” Shoto commented as he drew the curtains closed.

“Sorry.” The omega responded as he attempted to wipe his stray tears away and pat his son's back gently.

The only thing Katsuki had grounding him and keeping him sane - his little boy.

And he was relieved for that exact reason.

But as they always say…

Happiness is always short-lived.
