Chapter Text

Alejandro Burromeurto has always been strong. always been the best. No matter how hard.

Sure he struggled with school sometimes, especially when he first moved to Canada. But he adapted, he got better at English, perfected his accent, made sure he was perfect.

Until he hit puberty, that is. at only 8 years old, far too early for a boy. -That's when he heard the most horrendous news he could get; he was intersex, [t]he[y] apparently have reproductive organs of both male and female.

Alejandro wasn't male or female, isn't correct. Isn't right. Nothing is right.

Alejandro Burromeurto wasnt perfect

It hurt more than a punch in the gut, more than the terrible stomach pain that accompanied the blood.

Puberty sucked. First [s]he developed female, sure it was a terrible hit to his[her?] self esteem and mental health. But he could manage

Than he turned 15, and new hormones arouse - aagain. His(their?) testicals had started producing the testosterone of a male.

Nothing made sense anymore. What was [she]he(them??)

Puberty sucks. Life sucks. Ţ̷̢͔̮̦̰́̈̌ḧ̵̡̛͓͈͔̟̤͙e̸̡͙̰̦̙̎̓̇̄̆̽͝y̴̢̗̹͚͖̑͑͋̾͗̽̓̈́̀͝ͅ can't fathom what to do. How to deal with it all. It hurts, mentally and physically.

Ţ̷̢͔̮̦̰́̈̌ḧ̵̡̛͓͈͔̟̤͙e̸̡͙̰̦̙̎̓̇̄̆̽͝y̴̢̗̹͚͖̑͑͋̾͗̽̓̈́̀͝ͅ can't do this. Won't survive the outcome, especially if (their?) Father has any say.

'I can't do this.' Becomes the nightly montra; dirty and broken sobbs being the only things José and Carlos hear from their young sibling for weeks on end.

_

Alejandro's 17; still just as imperfect as before, (t)he(y) 'came to terms' with it. Still legally male, now finally presenting as male[it was really hard before he started producing testosterone]

José jr. Has never been a good brother, he hated how much attention Alejandro's 'condition' attracted, even if majority was negative.

Carlos was good, always has been. He respects Alejandro as a boy(even if Alejandro themself isnt 100% sure what they are)

_

Total Drama World Tour was a fucking wreck. The whole season drained Alejandro of any self worth they had left. Putting up a show of arrogant perfection, playing a role while still not knowing who the 'actor' is. 《Damn this is a bad metaphor》

(T)he(y) had slandered the Burromeurto name on international television, broadcasting how much of a failure (T)he(y) are and always have been.

《The fall》

Pure agony had flooded through his body, the scolding lava burning a permanent reminder into his body. Than it fucking exploded!!

Shattered, crushed, near death, and oh so terrified. He's lucky Chris had enough of a heart to get Alejandro to a hospital.

4 months- he spends 4 months in a near comatose state. Nearly brain dead for months, with a TBI and serious spinal injury; his chances of a full recovery are a solid zero.

Sr. Burromeurto is not impressed, not even caring for his nearly dead child.

-

it takes months for him to even begin being able to speak again, he got lucky according to everyone. Heather won the money, and while they were on Rocky grounds, she wouldn't leave Alejandro alone at his worse.

He was discharged once he could use his hands enough to move a manual wheelchair alone, with little to minimal help.

-

He gets the Email...

Notes:

I'm so sorry for any misinformation I write. I'm not intersex nor am I latin-American. I am trying to be semi-accurate as I can, while also dramatizing it like in the show. Please feel free to give constructive critism if you know what you are talking about, or feel free to send information links and whatnot♡
I am transmasculine, and physically disabled. So I will try to encorporate my own experiences, and experiences of friends who are in similar situations(medically, emotionally, culturally, and identity wise). what I am putting Alejandro in.
