Chapter 1: The Jerk's Friend

Chapter Text

"Yo, Medaka!" a light brown-haired boy waves towards them at the gate, giving them a genuine smile. "Sai-chan!" Kuroiwa shouts, running towards him with intentions of hugging, but the boy's hand stops him. "I don't like hugs, Medaka. You know that." he spoke. Kuroiwa just awkwardly chuckles, scratching his head. "Right, I forgot about that." the boy he calls Sai-chan give him a slight chuckle before noticing Kuroiwa's other friends. "I see you are making a lot of friends, huh?" the boy spoke, patting the monk boy's shoulder. "What are you doing here, though?" Medaka asks, which makes Sai-chan's grinning wider. "Do you want a bad news, or good news first?" Sai-chan asks.

"Bad news first, I guess," he answer.

"I lost to another gym leaderrrr!" his friend dramatically sobs as he magically pull out a handkerchief.

"What about the good news?" Medaka asks again, ignoring his friend's dramatic whines.

"My Judy turns into a Gardevoir!" his friend answered, making two peace with his hands. Medaka let out a loud sigh.

"Anyway, knew anything's good here? I'm starving, man~" the monk-boy nods, and again, his friends keep grinning.

On their way to a restaurant, Sai-chan remembers that Medaka has other friends. "Sooo, what is your friends name, Medaka? You forgot to introduces them to me," Sai-chan asks, as if he did introduces himself. "You didn't introduces yourself either, do you?" Medaka counters back, as Sai-chan let out a chuckle. After they arrive, the waiter came and they gave him the orders. "I apologizes for not introducing myself. My name is Toyama Saito. My close friends call me Sai-chan. I've known Medaka since we're child." he gave them a peace. He then leans forward to a girl in front of him. "Bright colored-hair, you must be Kawai Mona-san? Medaka talks about you quite a lot." Saitou gave her a smirk, putting a blush for both Medaka and Mona. "S-Saitou!" the black-haired boy grabs his friend's shoulder harshly. "The blonde boy and glasses boy we met earlier must've been Yuzuru-kun and Shou-kun!" Saitou continues. But before he could teases his sea-urchin friend more, the food they've ordered arrived. Not wasting any time, the hazel-haired man started to eat.

After eating, they left the restaurant with a very satisfied face, especially the new boys in Tokyo. "Mannn~ the foods are good, but hella expensive! Great thing I'll be a monk in a peaceful village instead of a busy cities like Tokyo." Saitou spoke, patting his stuffed belly. "Anyway, how is your monk training, Medaka? Consider you have a lot of female friends, I hope you don't find any of them attractive?" the other monk teases, which leaves the girls, who didn't know until the other boy spoke, surprised. "I-I'm trying.." Medaka answer, looking down at the floor they're walking.

"You know what will happen when you fell in love, right?" the light-haired boy asks, and the black-haired boy nods. "Anyway, I forgot to tell you something," Saitou spoke, and Medaka looks at him. "Chii-chan were hurt, and are hospitalized in a hospital here somewhere. I'm here because I want to asks you the way to there, tehe!" the man stuck his tongue out, hitting himself with a fist softly. It took him a while but, when he realizes, Medaka grabs Saitou's collar.

"CHII-CHAN IN WHAT??!" he shouts. "In a hospital. Thankfully its only a light sprain." another peace signs are made by Saitou, explaining to the dense Medaka. "Where is he now?" the black-haired boy asks. "Uhh, it's called, XXX Hospital, I think." as he answer, Medaka ran, and drag him of course, to the hospital. He thanked god that the hospital is near. "Um, I'm looking for a patient named Utahime Chiba. Is he here?" he asks the nurse, and she informed him that his room is in 305.

After asking for permissions from 'Chii-chan' and he granted it, Medaka come in hurry.

"Oh, hey. Mecchan," the injured 'Chii-chan' spoke weakly. Medaka then comes to 'Chii-chan's ' bedside. "W-what happen? Who did this to you? Why did-" a finger from 'Chii-chan' shuts Medaka's mouth. "Please shut up for a bit, I'm tired." The person spoke drowsily, before a low snores come from the latter. Saitou, who saw all of this, pets Medaka's head. "It's fine, Medaka. He's just too tired. He came here all the way from Okinawa to visit you, you know?" The monk in training smiles. Medaka turns to him, sobbing. "R-really?" He wipes the tear off from his eyes. "Yeah, I mean, the doctor said his wounds will be healed two days from now." Saitou answered, "What happened to him?" he turns to Saito, who in return, smiles at him. "I don't know. Why don't you ask him yourself? I'm sure he will be delighted to answer," the monk-boy pats his head. "But, what about Hayamin?" the patting stops. Saito then brushes the back of his neck. "Hayamin-He's in, kind of, a... uh, what do we called it? Oh, a study session! He'll be here, in like what, a-a week from now? yeah! A week!" Saito stuttered. Thankfully, Medaka didn't notice his stutters.

"Did he knows about this?" Medaka asks, and Saito nods. "Oh, it's almost late. Go home, all of you. I'm fine, since the hotel I reserve with Chiba is near here." Saito spoke, looking at the clock on the wall. After seeing them out of the hospital, Saito search for a certain room, before finally gave up and asks the information counter. After arriving to the said room, he stared at the sleeping patient, chuckling at the man whom he knows for years. "That was close. Thank goodness Mecchan is oblivious. Or else, I'm afraid your secret might be exposed to him. Right, Hayamin?" he said, to the unconscious boy with a scar on his right eye. He was found on the alley below a bridge near the hospital, wounded from his previous fight. Saito let out a sigh. "I'm glad you're still alive, man. I can't believe you survived that shot." the monk stares at the bandaged body. "Whatever, goodbye," he then left after saying that, unknown to him that his almost dead friend is now waking up, looking at him in annoyance, since the soon-to-be-monk boy woke him up. "Yeah," the light-haired boy muttered, before closing his eyes again.

A message popped up in front of a very sleepy man. The notification on his phone startled him, jolted his eyes open again. He look over at his phone, a notification send by his coworker's friend made his face gloom. He sighed, before replying to the sender.

Monk Toyama JR.

Hey, your plan succeeds. Are you happy now that my friend almost died because of your stupid plan?

San

Good morning to you too. You are very welcome he is still alive and his bills are paid.

He then continued sleeping, annoyed by the notifications bombarded by the monk's message, he put the phone on mute.
