Chapter Text
4 humanoid figures gathered at a rectangular table in a dimly lit room. "So, how have each of your tasks been going?" the figure at the head of the table asked the other three, his voice booming like a clap of thunder. He seemed to blend into the darkness of the room, wisps of mist seeming to curl off of his body as he spoke.
The figure to his right spoke first, his voice smooth, calm and calculating. "I have managed to breach the edge of existence, but still no sign of where the signal came from. I am unsure if what we think is out there actually exists."
"It does Sinnerstar," responded the figure to his right, their voice robotic as sleek as the mask they wore which occasionally caught the glint of the light. "Nothing could exist out there if not by the hands of a Creationist or Celestialsapien. And we know of a Celestialsapien sending such a thing to the edge of existence."
"And how do we know the stories the Hero tells are true!" Sinnerstar snapped. "For all we know she knew we've been listening in and lied about what she did and there is just a signal out there trying to throw us off."
"Did you really expect me to be that bad at recon that she would know I've been listening," asked the final figure situated across from Sinnerstar, mania creeping at the edge of his tone. "She, the Legacy, and none of the Experiments have even picked up on me. I know because they haven't even tried fighting me." He seemed to be mad that he hasn't gotten into a good fight.
"ENOUGH!" boomed their leader. "It is out there. You will find them and bring them into our fold. We need my final Horseman Sinnerstar. After this meeting you will go back and find them. And you will not return for subsequent meetings until you find them."
"Understood milord," Sinnerstar replied with a simple nod.
"As for my own report," the robotic voiced individual began. "I found an entrance into the Akashic Records, however it must be one of the rotating entrances because it began closing after I went through. I only managed to grab a single book, but it should be helpful to hunt down the Legacy when we go on the offensive."
"Wonderful Speaker," the leader responded with applause. "The Legacy should be our main target when we do so. She has the potential to be the most consistently powerful if Sruy notices her and teaches her. Especially when she has gained the interest of others of my family." He then turned to look at the final being. "And what of you Nrp, have you decided when you and Speaker should attack?"
"Tonight."
"Tonight?!" Sinnerstar repeated. "You decide on such a short schedule tonight is the night we get rid of the Sixteen?"
"It makes the most sense. Less of a chance for a demigod to get a dream vision of this plan and it gets to Sruy," the Speaker commented.
"And they will all be gathered in a single place tonight for an event. Easy for us to rip them to shreds without them being prepared. Especially with the Hero out of the universe for the time being."
"I still do not trust the way we keep track of her being whether or not we sense an inter-universe portal. Someone else could appear and mess up our count," Sinnerstar remarked.
"Then we will still just be careful with the attack. If she is possibly there then Speaker will summon something to deal with her or Nrp will transform. With all that said and done, this meeting is adjorned." With a wave of his hand, everything went dark and they all disappeared.
Halfway across the world from where the meeting was, 18 year old Xochitl Ingrid Lisno jolted awake, having caught some of the meeting in her dreams, but not knowing how real it was. "Why was it so different this time?" she asked herself with a groan as she looked at the time, 6:45 AM, time to get ready for school.
