—There was the blue astronaut, in the space station warehouse. He was sorting a couple of things and taking inventory, it wasn't his usual job but he was probably doing someone a favor, he was known for helping the other crew members. An automatic door could be heard behind him, someone had entered the warehouse and it was Lenny.
—"Hello Lenny!" Benny said excitedly, seeing his boyfriend always made him happy to see the pink astronaut.
—"Hey Benny..." Lenny said without much enthusiasm, he didn't even bother to make eye contact with Benny, he was looking at any box in the warehouse with his hand behind his neck.
—"So uhm...Working huh?" Lenny said finally looking into his eyes, but a hint of sorrow and pain could be seen in them.
Benny had definitely noticed it, he always remained enthusiastic and planned to spread his good mood to Lenny, to make his boyfriend feel better. —"Yup! Glenny asked me to do their job...you know how it is!" Benny said with a laughing tone, it was quite well known how Glenny didn't do any of their chores. —"Don't you want to... accompany me?" Benny suggested with a friendly and hopeful tone, he was thinking of spending time with his boyfriend in the warehouse to cheer him up! and tell Benny what was happening in his beautiful brain.
—"Actually...I have to talk to you."
Lenny said, looking somewhere else again, avoiding eye contact with Benny.
He just looked at him surprised, talk? had something happened? He couldn't stop an anxious thought from entering his head, those words could never mean anything good...
—"Sure! Tell me." He tried to stay positive, maybe that would encourage Lenny more.
Lenny approached Benny, looking down with some sadness, then taking Benny's arm, looking at him for a few seconds and then grabbing a cut from his suit.
—"What is this." Lenny says calmly, though a tone of sadness can't help but slip through.
Benny just looks at him surprised and then looks down to see his arm too...His astronaut suit was a bit worn out and Lenny was right, there was a cut in the fabric on his arm.
—"Uh it's nothing...I just caught myself on a door..." He said, slowly moving his arm away and rubbing the torn part with his other hand. Trying to hide.
Lenny just looked at him with sadness and then with a bit of disbelief.
—"You're lying to me."
Lenny said with confidence and a serious face, if there was any sadness in his voice... Well, he was able to hide it well.
—"W-what! No!" Benny said, protecting his arm with his hand, now defensively and slightly panicked. —"I-I! I would never do that...!" Benny said trying to calm Lenny, wishing it were true.
—"Then tell me... tell me how you got that cut, how you always disappear and with your brothers. How you always come home nervous! As if you're afraid of something, tell me." Lenny started pointing at Benny's chest in a somewhat aggressive manner, demanding an answer, his face filled with irritation.
Benny took a few steps back from Lenny's thrusts, they weren't strong, but all the tension in the room had left Benny somewhat weak. Not knowing what to respond.
—"Uh...I- I..." Benny tried to say, to blurt out an explanation...But could he really tell him the truth? He loved and trusted his boyfriend a lot, he told him all his personal problems...But could he tell him something that would endanger the entire crew? especially his brothers? That he was a master builder? and if Lenny obeyed the Lord's orders he had to report "any type of strange activity"...Which also included the master builders?
—"I- I can't tell you, I'm sorry." Benny said looking down at the floor, stroking his own arm in comfort. He didn't want to put his brothers in danger, or worse yet, Lenny in danger...What would Lord Business and his entire army think if he found out that he and Lenny were dating.
—"Then you don't trust me."
Lenny said without warning, with a look full of disappointment, anger and even...pain and sadness. Benny just turned to look at him surprised, he wouldn't know what to answer.
—"N-no! I do trust you...but I CAN'T tell you now... A little time until things are resolved and-"
Lenny cut him off before he could continue.
—"No Benny, there's no time."
Lenny said coldly...Benny couldn't believe what was happening. I didn't want to believe it, no- it was a nightmare, right?
—"You don't trust me...how do you think I feel?" Lenny began to say while looking at Benny with resentment...although sometimes he looked at the ground when he felt like tears were going to come out. —"You leave without warning... leaving me worried for hours." Keep mentioning Lenny. —"You come back all scared or worried... even with damage!"
Benny just looks at him surprised and blank... He hadn't thought about how his own boyfriend felt, he was so busy escaping from the police or keeping everything a secret... That he hadn't realized.
Lenny burst into tears...they were small, but tears at the end.
—"How do you think I feel!? See how you never tell me anything...You leave me worried for hours! You make me feel like- that I'm not even important in this relationship!" Lenny exploded and told him everything in his face, with a somewhat broken voice. Benny just looked at him in silence with an empty face...and disappointment, disappointment in himself.
—"...You know, there are probably people who do value me in a relationship."
Benny came out of his thoughts and shook his head — "W- what do you mean by that...?" Benny asked with a little anguish...Well no, a lot of anguish.
Lenny just stayed silent as he wiped away his tears and then clutched his head in stress.
—"Ugh...Look- I felt alone and unrequited from you." Lenny says coldly...although obviously saddened by the fact that his own boyfriend doesn't trust him.
—"And I met a girl online...We only talk and she doesn't like me but- I wanted to solve things with you first...I just-"
Benny looked at him with disappointment, sadness and pity... He was thinking of changing him? Although part of him...couldn't blame Lenny, maybe he deserved it.
—"Until...you tell me that you don't even trust me? How do you want me to fix things with you when you decide to lie to me and hide things from me!?" Lenny explodes in front of him again, this time with more tears. —"I- I was thinking about stopping talking to her completely when you tell me the truth and I know I can trust you!" Lenny put his hand on his chest. —"I know it's wrong too- But I felt so despised...You didn't even greet me when you came back from your stupid escapades...I didn't feel important." Lenny cried in front of him...He was known for being "meh" and carefree, but still serious and cold when needed...Seeing him cry was weird, especially when Benny is the reason he's crying.
Lenny takes a deep breath to calm himself and wipe away his tears, then clasps his hands together and stares at Benny.
—"This is over, goodbye Benjamin." And he decided to leave the warehouse, walking towards the door that opened by itself.
Benny just woke up, he had been frozen by all the... harsh conversation. He shook his head and tried to chase after Lenny.
—"Lenny WAIT"! He reached out for his arm to grab him and beg that they could talk about it...he didn't know how he was going to solve it but he had- he had to get it back, this couldn't end like this, he couldn't, he couldn't-
One of Benny's unbuckled belts caught him in the automatic door, leaving him trapped and watching as Lenny walked away. He tried to grab his belt and get away from the door, but everything was in vain. Lenny was getting further and further away...from Benny.
