Chapter Text

It was the middle of the night as Eclipse was walking through the dark forest, the sound of wind caressing the leaves and the moonlight covered by clouds barely illuminating anything. When he reached his destination he looked around and noticed a trapdoor, it was sealed shut. After checking with his data Eclipse realized it was the place, so he unlocked the trapdoor.

He looked around for the last time and dropped through the trapdoor, when he landed it was pitch black. So he turned on his night vision while looking around he saw shelves filled with different mechanical stuff: wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. He left the room and found himself in the main lobby of the place which you could immediately recognize as the place where Creator spent most of his time. This confirmed that Eclipse found the right place, Creator underestimated him as he thought with a smirk.

He decided to look around and after a while, he found everything that he needed, he dragged with him one of the endoskeletons specifically a sun resembling endoskeleton. He dragged it into a room hidden in a far corner of the building and put it in a capsule-looking machinery. With that, he headed to the storage and brought the necessary parts to customize this endoskeleton, after a few hours it was finished and it looked like a mechanic sun animatronic, covered with fresh colors and some fresh clothing.

Eclipse was surprised that a brain creature even had clothing in this whole place, but he wasn’t going to complain. He moved to a computer connected to the machine, he took out a small chip and opened his chest cavity, taking out a few wires and connecting them with the chip as his hand started to glow and cast a spell onto the chip. Everything started to blur and a sound of ringing appeared increasing until everything went dark and silent.

As Eclipse saw himself kneeling on the ground in pain Evil Sun laughed loudly, and said sarcastically

“Ah yes, The great Eclipse kneeling in front of me beging for help”

he knelt and moved Eclipse's head up with his hand so he could see his face bloodied in dark oil, scratched, bruised, barely recognizable.

“Pathetic”

Evil Sun stated as he let go of Eclipse's head in disgust,

“You have fallen so low because dear old Eclipse couldn’t control his feelings and let them control you. To the point of asking me for help and giving up yourself so easily to me”.

Eclipse could feel the rage building up in him as he used his broken hand to lift himself enough to look at Evil Sun while trying hard not to make a sound of pain.

Then Eclipse said

“fuck you”

in a cold voice. To which Evil Sun only smiled in amusement and chuckled.

Eclipse slowly came back to reality as he finished casting the spell, and looked at his hand that now brought only the memory of pain from that day. Eclipse ignored it and decided to move on with the task, he inserted the chip into the animatronic and started a process on the computer called “REBORN”. It was done now all he had to do was wait for the process to work.

The day in the daycare had just finished and as the last child was being peaked up by their parent, the daycare had finally reached its closing time. All left now to do was clean up the mess that the kids made, and for Sun today was a crazy one because some of the kids got the new merch from the Pizzaplex that was slime. And the kids played with it... like the kid's tent too with the floors being now sticky, and the ball pit was a monstrosity not being even able to be called a mess. Sun sighed with annoyance and tiredness in his voice, he would have to remember to add a new rule for the daycare.

As he started to try and clean up this whole mess. After an hour of torture figuring out how to get rid of the slime abomination, Moon decided to come down from his room and he started laughing so hard that he rolled on the ground. To which Sun commented annoyed

“You done?”,

as Moon got the hang of himself and said

“I told you when the company added the slime merch that YOU should have banned it from the daycare instead you said and I quote “The kids will behave and it’s just slime how bad could it be?“ ”

to which Sun answered trying to defend himself 

“how could I know they would make that much mess? they're just kids! I do not even know how did they got some of the stuff dirty like that, they made the ceiling dirty. THE CEILING! I didn’t even know that was possible”.

Moon just gave Sun a grin to which Sun huffed in annoyance and said

“Yes you were right, happy?”,

Moon answered with the biggest smile

“Yes”.

And with that moon started to walk towards the exit as Sun called out to him

“you are not going to help me?”

to which Moon answered

“no, YOU made a problem so YOU fix it”.

Sun complained baffled by the answer 

“you know I can’t clean all of it by myself”

Sun stretched his arms showing the whole daycare. To which Moon said in a happy voice

“Not my problem~”.

And as Moon was about to leave the daycare Earth ran into him making Moon fall and say

“What the!?, Earth you know you have to be more… careful”

The last word came out quiet as Moon saw Earth crying. To which he immediately asked what happened as Sun dropped the cleaning supplies from his hand and ran up to them. Earth said in a crying voice

“It’s a-about L-Lunar…”

as she hugged Moon and mumbled out

“Creator took him”.

This one sentence froze time for Sun and Moon whose bodies were now raging with so many emotions, but mostly anger and rage. Moon screams out

“computer send me the location of creators base”,

  to which the computer answered

“the location has been sent to you Moon”.

Sun was a little confused and asked

”wait… how do you know his location? Isn’t he like really smart and hard to locate?”

to which Moon answered while looking at the coordinates

“Remember when we got access to Creators camera thanks to his bot? I spent a while trying to locate his base in case we would ever need it and after a few days I did it”

That answer satisfied Sun as he immediately started to comfort Earth and told her

“Don’t worry Earth we will get him back”

to which Earth responded while wiping her tears with her hand

“you’re right we need to stay strong and rescue him”.

And after a moment of silence, she added

“we can do it”

with a determined look on her face, to which Moon responded

“There is no “we” Earth you are staying in the daycare. You’re too distressed to help out”

After saying these words Moon turned around and started to walk toward the exit. Sun looked at Earth and how she sat hurt visible in her eyes, as she looked down onto the floor. This made Sun slight rage build up but mostly empathy so he ran behind Moon and screamed

“Moon wait!”

as Sun caught up he continued

“Earth knows the building she could help us locate where Lunar is. She lived there after all”

to which Moon answered

“You’re right….”

Then turned around to face Earth who now had a glimpse of hope in her eyes which put a smile on Sun's face, as Moon continued

“She should keep in touch with us so we will have basic orientation of that place.”

At those words, Sun's smile disappeared as fast as it appeared and as he said

“But Moon she can hel-“

Moon caught off by saying with a raised voice

“Sun. our brother is in danger and could probably die! We do not have time for discussions like this! Earth is staying and that is final. If you are so wrong by this that you can stay with her but I’m going to SAVE my brother”

With that Moon headed and left through the exit as Sun turned to face Earth she smiled at him and said

“Go ahead don’t worry about me, Moon is right I will just put myself in danger”,

Sun protested

“no you’re not, a-and Moon doesn’t know what he is saying! A-and -”.

Earth stood up and grabbed Sun’s face with her hand and turned it so he would look at her as she said

“Sun.”

 which made Sun stop talking as Earth continued with a calm voice

“I know you mean it that and I know that I matter and I truly appreciate it, believe me. So please, go save Lunar for me okay?”

Sun looked at the floor thinking as he nodded, Earth hugged him and said

“Thank you”

As Sun hugged back, Earth let go and said

“Go. And inform me when you will find him”.

The Sun said

“I will”

while he ran after the Moon.

After an hour of walking Sun and Moon found themselves in front of a mountain, to which the Moon stopped and Sun asked

“Is it here? Because there is nothing visible”

as Sun looked around surrounded by the forest and beautiful nature as glimpses of sunlight moved thru the leaves creating a beautiful color of green, with beautiful flowers decorating the forest ground. To which Moon answered in a sarcastic tone

“Do you really think a genius like him would build a giant base in full sight?”

Sun answered feeling slightly hurt by Moon’s comment

“N-no”.

Suddenly Moon's expression changed to a shock and a frown as he said

“And we are not the only one here after the creator”

The Sun asked

“W-what do you mean?”

to which Moon answered,

“Eclipse is here”.

This shocked Sun, he asked

“D-do you think he’s co-working with the creator to use Lunar as a battery?”,

“Why else would he be there?”

Moon answered with a rhetorical question.

Sun gulped at that realizing that it would make rescuing Lunar harder. Sun made sure that Moon wasn't paying attention to him and he looked at the coordinates where they were and sent them to Earth with a message

“You can join us and help us, here are the coordinates to Creators base where Lunar is”,

then mood said

“found it”

as he touched a specifying part of the mountain and it unlocked a hidden door. The corridor was pitch black so they turned on their night vision and entered it, walking between pipes attached to the walls as they heard the Creator's voice muttering something and the high-pitched voice.

“Lunar”

Sun thought as he moved closer to the noise until he saw light coming from the main building slowly Moon took the lead and they both entered the room as they hid behind control panels. Lunar was stuck in a tube that was filled with weird fluids and was pretty big, Lunar hit the glass with his hands to try and break it to which Creator said while doing something on the computer his back turned to Lunar

“I’ve told you already you won’t be able to break it not even with you’re abilities”

to which Lunar screamed

“LET. ME. OUT.”

To which the Creator answered

“I’m afraid I can’t do that since I do need your energy”,

Lunar scared answered

“B-but I’ll di-“

Lunar was stopped by Creator suddenly turning around and saying

“Do you REALLY think I care about that? The answer is NO.”.

Moon grabbed Sun and pulled him down into the hiding place and whispered to him

“My tracker says that Eclipse is far from here so he won’t be able to help the Creator now, we need to act fast not sure how long we will have this opportunity”.

 Sun asked Moon in a whisper

“But how are we going to defeat him!?”

while he pointed at the creator. Moon lucked around and said

“I will distract him and you have to hit with the star power, it won’t be enough to kill him but it will buy us enough time to take Lunar and get out of here”

, Sun said to protest as he looked on the ground

“b-but I haven’t trained in a long time a-and I don’t have it fully under control”.

Moon put a hand on his shoulder and said

“Sun I know you can do it if you concentrate, you did it when you had to push Eclipse into the portal right? So you can do it again, just be careful got it?”

Sun nodded and said

“yes…”.

To that Moon jumped out of the hiding spot and ran up to the Creator he started to talk to him, but Sun couldn’t hear any of the conversations as he stood up and started to concentrate on collecting star matter in his hands and as he started to aim the blast, his vision started to blur as he heard ringing in his ear.

Suddenly he was in the daycare and where stood the Creator now stood Bloodmoon and instead of Sun controlling the star power he was about to shoot from a daycare barrel, the time froze as he saw the look of fear in Bloodmoons eyes as he said

“please… Sunman, didn’t you say you wanted a new brother?”

“Yes, yes a new brother.”,

the other voice said. Then Sun blinked and what he saw terefied him, he saw a broken up Bloodmoon with his arm ripped with half of his face missing as dark oil flowed from where an eyeball should be located, a dark red eye moved to look at Sun, whole body mangled with wires sticking out of different places, as Bloodmoon says

“why?...”.

As the barrel is about to shoot Sun misdirects the shoot to not hit Bloodmoon, it makes an explosion as Bloodmoon smiles at Sun with his sharp teeth and disappears.

Sun is brought back to reality by the explosion as he sees that he missed the Creator and hears Moon screaming Lunar name, as he falls with the tube under the ground and the building starts to collapse as the Creator screams at Sun

“You IMBECILE! Do you see what you DID??? You hit the machine now it will explode with your dear brother in it and I won’t get the energy I needed”.

At those words, everything went quiet for Sun as the realization of him being the one to kill Lunar hit him, his brain started to repeat one phrase

“no no no no no no no NO”

over and over as his breathing sped up. Nothing mattered anymore around him, he was just... lost. Suddenly he felt shacking from Moon as he said

“SUN!”

that helped Sun return to the ground as he saw that the creator was missing Moon grabbed Sun’s arm as Moon said

“Come on, we need to find Lunar before the machine explodes we don’t have much time”

They started to run as some pieces of ruble started to fall around them, thru different corridors and floors.

Meanwhile, Lunar was stuck in the tube deep somewhere under the ground he looked around the dark room and tried breaking the glass with the electricity, which only resulted in him shocking himself. He screamed for help, and then he saw a dark figure walking towards the tube, He opened the tube from the top and Lunar backed away as he saw the figure being a light orange-black Sun model animatronic.As Lunar says, trying to be brave and confident, he knows well that while stuck there, he had no real way to fight back. If needed, Eclipse would have had the advantage. But even with that, his voice came out with his fear hearable 

“E-eclipse?....”,

the animatronic smiles as the animatronic says in a calm, soft voice

“No no…. lunar it’s me… Solar”.

Lunar mood immediately changed as he couldn’t believe his eyes as he said

“B-but h-how?”

and Solar answered,

”I don’t know but we don’t have time this machine is about to explode, come to me”.

Lunar immediately swam up to Solar to hug him but as he was about to reach him he heard a quick beeping sound, and suddenly Solar jumped into the substance and covered Lunar with his body as an explosion happened. Time stopped for Lunar as he saw the bright orange-yellow colors and all sound changed into one long ringing as everything went to black.

Lunar opened his eyes to find himself between the ruble and a hand lying on top of him, as he touched the hand he realized it was ripped which startled him and made him move away. As Lunar looked around he saw in darkness two dots of light that represented eyes, suddenly a part of Ruble fell behind him and it scared him so much that he jumped and turned around to see a light falling now through the ceiling as he turned around he saw solar being light up by the light.

Lunar paused with tears forming in his eyes as he studied how Solar now looked, a ripped arm, a big scar on his chest going through his body from where a lot of oil is leaking lower jaw hanging on a few wires, and his rays were burned, broken, askew or completely missing. His leg was stuck under a rock and the other looked so broken that there would be no repairing it. Lunar ran screaming

“Solar!”

as he hugged him and tried blocking the licking oil, tears pouring down his face, as Solar moved his hand to wipe a tear from Lunar as he smiled, and in his eyes, Lunar could see acceptance. Lunar started to panic and say

“No no no I can’t lose you again… please! Stay…. P-please.”

Solar put his hand away and his head fell to the side as Lunar started to scream and look around in panic

“HELP! ANYBODY PLEASE! HELP!”.

Sun and Moon were running through corridors, opening door by door trying to locate Lunar, suddenly when they were about to run into another corridor they ran into an animatronic. It looked like a sun model animatronic covered in light yellow-blue colors with a hint of white,

the animatronic was dressed in baggy pants that looked like a combination of Sun's and Moon's pants, a light green shirt, and a purple-ish hoodie tied around the waist with black mechanical glasses on top of its head and black shoes. The three of them looked at each other in silence as Sun and Moon broke it by saying in shock

“Solar!?”.

Chapter Text

Sun couldn't believe what he was seeing, in front of him stood Solar. Well, he did look different but you could still immediately realize who it was, Moon immediately went in for a hug as he started to cry.

Sun was a little surprised by that but he could see how much Moon missed Solar nowadays, and he couldn't be more happy for their reunion. As Moon started rambling to Solar about him never doing something like that again and how much he scared Moon too wich Solar responded with a tight hug back and said

"I promise I will never do something like that again",

Sun started to fade these words out as he felt his tears starting to form in his eyes. Sun was about to join the hug and say something across the lines of

"It's so good to have you back Solar"

But his actions were suddenly stopped by a scream for help. Specifically, Lunar's scream to which all three of them turned around in the direction of the sound and started to run toward the source of noise.

Solar was the first one to get there with Sun and Moon right after as he saw Lunar kneeling over a broken-up animatronic and saying his name while crying. Solar immediately came closer to Lunar as he said with a quiet, calm, comforting tone

"Hey Lunar. I'm here. I'm Solar. It's me"

To which Lunar immediately turned around and looked at Solar for a few seconds then back at Eclipse as he backs out terefied and runs into Solars arms. As they hug closely Sun suddenly hears a voice behind him saying loudly

"LUNAR!? SOLAR!?"

As he turns around he sees Earth who runs into the hug which immediately puts a smile on his face as he sees Earth's tears of joy. Solar says while tightening the hug

"You have no idea how much I missed this"

When they separate they hear a metallic sound of destroyed gears grinding against each other to which they turn toward the broken animatronic.

Earth makes a quiet sound of surprise as she covers her mouth in shock, as they all look at the mangled sun animatronic looking similar to Ruin but in a much worse state. Moon was checking something in his files when his face suddenly got replaced with shock as he said

"That's.... that's Eclipse"

To which words Eclipse's eye moved to look in their direction which made Sun hold his breath as he looked around. Moon was slightly shocked but you could see that he didn't care, Solar was looking confused but mostly concerned about Lunar as they were still hugging and Earth looked horrified. Lunar then said quietly but everyone heard it in the silence of the room

"H-he.... he saved me",

Everyone looked with shock at Lunar and then back at Eclipse as Sun saw Earth's tears form in her eyes. No one said anything but everyone understood one thing, Eclipse wasn't gonna make it out alive. Sun took a breath in and out as he walked towards Eclipse and as he did Eclipse's eye was following his every move. Sun knelt in front of Eclipse as he moved his hand towards him, to which Eclipse tried moving away but to no avail.

Sun put a hand on top of Eclipse's chest and it started to glow with yellow energy moving through his hand towards and through Eclipse's body. He was using start power to heal Eclipse... no... to save Eclipse, Sun started to feel slight pain but he knew he couldn't stop not when Earth and Lunar were this sad.

He didn't understand why he was trying to save someone so cruel like Eclipse but He knew he would do anything for his family, and with new confidence he used more of the power and he could see a fragment of Eclipse's body to repair itself and then he felt the increased amount of pain as he saw his hand start to create lines of yellow breaks as it slowly started to break him more but he knew he had to do it for his family because for some reason they cared even if he couldn't comprehend it.

They noticed and Moon told Sun to stop Earth cried out to him and when Moon tried to walk and push Sun away he was blocked by weird energy surrounding Sun and Eclipse like a forcefield, To which Lunar hid in Solar's embrace and Solar tried comforting the small animatronic. The lines started to move along his hand higher as he suddenly felt another hand grab him, it was Eclipse which shocked Sun as Eclipse moved Sun's hand away to which Sun didn't oppose and the ligns stopped eminating the yellow light and now just left a mark.

He saw Eclipse's eye look into his which made Sun hold his breath, as the eye went blank and Eclipse's hand fell, with Eclipse's whole body collapsing against the wall. Sun now sat there unmoving, confused, he couldn't process what just happened as he felt a comforting touch on him.

He turned to see Earth looking at him as she gave him a hand to help him stand up he tried to take it but felt high pain in his right hand so he took it with his left hand, he saw Solar and Lunar leaving already the building thru the opening in the wall. Earth wiped her tears as she gave Sun a comforting smile and she moved her eyes towards the exit to signal to him to leave with her, and so they did with Solar leading the way.

Moon was left alone in the dark with Eclipse's body as he watched as the other left he stood in front of Eclipse and said

"You know... you weren't a good person. Heh... In fact, I cannot recall a single time when you did something good.... well at least the original you, since you were just a copy... a replacement. But... I am grateful for the fact that you saved Lunar... all of us are. I hope I will never have to see you again and you will be finally left in Peace... Thank you."

Moon started to walk towards the exit but he stopped right before it and said

"Goodbye Eclipse..."

And left the building.

Earth was crying in her room until she heard a knock at the door and she said

"Come in"

While trying to get the hang of herself, Monty entered the room and sat next to Earth on her bed while pulling her close to him and letting her cry it all out. Earth said with her voice breaking from crying

"I-i feel like I-i could have prevented it, I could have d-done something more."

To which Monty responded while trying to calm her down

"Earth. Look at me"

And she does as Monty continues

"You did everything you could have and there is no reason to worry about what ifs. You did something no one thought was possible, you changed Eclipse's heart enough for him to sacrifice himself for someone especially if that someone is Lunar."

They sit a moment in silence until Monty breaks it by saying with a smile on his face

"Heh... If you had told me even yesterday that any version of Eclipse could have done such a thing, I would have not believed you. But.... sometimes even the impossible can happen".

Earth answered now calmed down

"Thank you, Monty. I needed that" 

"No problem, remember I love you and I will always be there for you".

Monty put on some classic music as they hugged and spent time together, just enjoying each other's company. As Earth said

"I Wonder how the others are doing, hopefully better"

Solar was sitting with Lunar, playing games. Until Lunar stopped and asked

"Is... is it weird if I feel sad? I mean I shouldn't since Eclipse hurt me so much, and yes I know that this wasn't the original Eclipse but still a part of me is mad and the other still cares and... is grieving? It feels like two forces fighting against each other"

Solar takes a deep breath as he says

" You had a... unique relationship with Eclipse, especially with the different versions. So it's completely normal to feel confused and conflicted, and the fact that a part of you still cares proves that you have empathy and that's something human. You have feelings and sometimes we just can't always understand them especially when we are put through a lot of events at the same time. But whatever happens I... no We will be by your side and help you through it, remember that okay?"

To which Lunar answered while nuzzling in with Solar

"I will, thanks",

After a while of sitting in silence Lunar said

"Solar?"

To which Solar made a sound of

"hm?",

And Lunar said while laying his head on Solar

"I missed you".

To which Solar answered while putting his hand around Lunar and putting his head on top of Lunar's

"Yeah... me too Lunar... me too".

Sudenly Jack-o-Moon joined the pile, solar could remeber just how happy Jack- o-Moon was when he returned home. In fact he jumped at him with such force that he landed on his back loughing. Solar felt pitty, especially since moon told him how Jack- o-Moon was sad when he was mising, but now he was back and he was gonna make sure that his whole family will be safe.And like that, they both fell asleep on beanbags with smiles on their face, surrounded by the daycare stars lighting up the room in light blue.

Sun was sitting in his house drinking wine when he saw a stone with a three behind it, specifically Eclipse's grave that Moon, Solar, and Monty created. Sun was honestly a bit surprised that someone like Monty helped but he wasn't gonna ask about it, he decided to walk to the grave and see what it looked like for himself. As he got to it he saw the words engraved in it 

"    Eclipse 

     2021~2024

     Died a hero"

Sun said out loud

"A Hero? HA! That's a good joke!"

Now with an angry face,

"You know what? Hick- you are the reason for my misery"

Sun pointed at his grave as he continues

"In fact, you are the reason Hick- for aaaaallllllllll of my pain. You Hick- are the furthest thing of a hero!. If you never existed Hick- me and Moon would have been juuuuuuust fine. But Noooooooo you had to show up all Hick- angry with revenge and destroy all of our lives! Hick-"

Sun drank more from his bottle, as he looked around he saw that on one of the outside tables, there was paint of different colors. But what caught Sun's eyes was the red paint as he smiled and said

"You know what? Hick- you should get the treatment you deserve"

To which Sun grabs red paint and a brush and crosses out the word

"Hero"

From the grave and as he looks at it Sun says

"Hm... it's good, But- Hick- I think we should give you the title you truly deserve Eclipse"

The last words coming out with clear toxicity to it. Sun started to paint on the grave and with that, he said

"A Villain, that's the title you deserve Hick-. Nothing else but an evil, egoistic, ASHOLE!"

He screamed the last word filled with pure anger at the grave. As Sun continues with an angry but calm voice

"I hope you will never come back. Hick-"

Sun smiled as he said triumphantly

"What? Cat Hick- Cat cut your tongue?",

But no one responds and even though Sun knew that would have happened maybe a part of him was hoping for a response. His smile faded as quickly as it appeared, he drank from the bottle again as he sat down against the side of the grave, his hand lying limb on the freshly dug ground. moving across it slowly in silence as tears started to form in Sun's eyes, he said laughing with tears

"Wh- Hick- what am I doing? HA HA"

Then silence fell as his smile dropped and he continued

"You weren't even him were you? You were just... Hick- a copy... you never did anything wrong, the original did Hick-..."

After a while sun said with a smile

"What is wrong with me that I cannot move on from someone who died a year ago? HA! Stupid isn't it? ... pathetic..."

As he felt anger build up in him he said,

"I'm useless aren't I? Hick- I couldn't help, even if I didn't want to I wasn't able to help Hick- to make my family feel better, in fact I can never do anything to help them!"

He said the last line while pointing his hands out into the air.

"It doesn't matter Hick- you're dead either way and the only person I have left to blame is me..."

Sun sat like this in silence as a tear ran down his cheek, as he grabbed his rays and started to tug on them repeating only one line quietly

"Stupid, stupid Hick-, stupid, stupid,-"

He tugged on them enough to hurt and leave damage but he didn't care he knew that he deserved much worse for being so useless. Suddenly he felt an arm on his shoulder which made him jump away from fear and shock and as he turned around he saw Earth, looking at him with worry on her face as she said with a very calm and soothing voice

"Oh! I'm so sorry Sun I hope I didn't scare you too much".

To which Sun answers trying to sound as friendly as he can

"It's no problem earth, I'm Hick- fine, reeeeeeally, Why are you even here?"

To which Earth answered, trying to ignore the fact that Sun was drunk

"What?, Am I not allowed to help my brother when he's crying?"

To which Sun continued

"N-no, b-but I'm fine Hick- trust me"

To which Earth interacted

"Sorry Sun but No you're not"

Earth says as she hugs him

"and it's okay to grieve the lose of someone".

But... was he grieving? No, he hated Eclipse and even if Eclipse wasn't the one who did most of the damage to his family he hated him. In fact, he hated him so much that one of the first things he said to him was

"No one would miss you if you would kill yourself."

So no he wasn't grieving but he was not going to tell that to Earth there was no need to make this situation more complicated than it already was. So he just hugged back filled with regret for making Earth worry in the first place and saw him in that situation. When they released the hug Earth wiped off Sun's tears and Sun said trying to sound convincing as possible

"I'm fine Earth, reeeeeally Hick- I-i just had these moods swing recently, really nothing important."

Earth looks at Sun and then at the ground where there is a wine bottle lying on the ground tripped from how sun jumped up later and fully spilled coating the ground with dark red color. And when Earth looked back at Sun with a judgmental look, he tried to make the most Innocent smile. Earth sighed as she said

"Sun maybe the reason for all you're mood swing is the alcohol you drink? It's completely normal for people under substances to act differently than themself, usually more angry or sad."

Sun only nodded as Earth continued

"How about you would try and limit it hm? Of course as long as you want to, what do you say?".

Sun thought about it, maybe just maybe that was the solution to fix some stuff or at least to stop worrying his family so much and constantly being their problem. So he said in a half-joke way

"yea... Hick- I-i could give it a shot"

To which Earth giggled as she said

"I'm glad"

Then she paused and then said

"Oh! Sorry Sun, Monty's calling I promised to meet up with him if you need any help tell me okay?"

To which Sun noded and Earth left.Sun entered the house with the empty wine bottle in his hand, he threw it out into the trash and then turned back to close the door. He walked to the kitchen table and sat down, the house was quiet since Moon decided to stay at the daycare and search for the Creator.

He could hear the wind going through the window and the water outside the house, there was nothing except him and thoughts and he hated it, it was the sole reason he started drinking to stop thinking and just exist or be happy for the first time or whatever. But not this, he saw a pack of wine bottles, and a train of thoughts appeared:

"Should I take them?",

"I shouldn't I promised Earth.",

"but I'm better when I drink, I don't create any more problems for them so it would help. It would help me and it would help them."

With that sun opened one of the bottles and drank from it as he fell back into the wooden chair thinking

"God Earth would be so disappointed in me"

Even though he still kept on drinking bottle after bottle.
