Stein's time in Lukedonia

Summary:

Stein and Raizel have some time together.

Work Text:

Stein woke to power misted around him and his breath coming pants. Fuck, stupid fucken nightmares. At least Frankenstein was mentally getting some rest even if their body wasn't.

Dark Spear growled and he growled back as he pushed it away. It wasn't needed right now and he had enough to clean up with the mess it had caused. Sitting up he took in the ripped blankets and smouldering mattress. Swinging his feet off the bed he stood and fixed what was left of his clothes in to lose pants that sat low on his hips.

Waving a hand over the mattress he pulled the last of the corrosive energy back. It left holes that would need to be mended. Frankenstein prefers things like these to be done the manual way and right now he can't bothered. Later before he gave Frankenstein back the reins he'd set to mending it.

He exited the house, it was only a little past day's death and he needed to move. Noble hunting was always a favourite pasttime. It would be a good workout to go collect information without leaving a trace and he'd get to play a bit as long as he didn't get too carried away.

The feeling of eyes watching him had him stamping down on the rising blood lust and headed for the wood stack Frankenstein had set out for todays task. It would be something to keep him busy for the next hour.

The eyes never leave him as he chops all the wood. It was easy work and would be even easier if Dark Spear wasn't a corrosive piece of shit.

A flick of power cleans him from any dust as he heads for the kitchen. There was a batch of cookies baked just last night with his name on it. If Frankenstein had had other plans for them then that was too bad.

Putting the kettle on above the fire he lifted the lid off the container and took one of the cookies, a chocolate one. Perhaps he'd be making Franky cross at him instead of Frankenstein.

Opening the chilled box he pulled out the last bottle of milk and let out a laugh. Looks like Frankenstein will be cross after all when he has to go to the village to trade for milk. Setting the bottle down on the bench he snatched his cup from the cupboard along with the cocoa powder and sugar. Spooning both in he watched the kettle, how dare it take so long.

He looked to the door and glared at the Noblesse.

He's about to growl at the noble when he speaks.

"Stein," he says while nodding in greeting.

Why the shit was this noble greeting him and not just calling out his beloved pet.

"As you can see your pet isn't here."

The Noblesse moved into the room and Stein didn't move until the noble took a seat at the table. Why had he left his window and come down here?

"I knew that before I left the window."

Of course, he had this stupid bond of Frankenstein’s.

"You are my Bonded also."

He glared into the crimson gaze.

"As if you wouldn't wish me gone and Frankenstein here instead."

"If I had wished to speak to Frankenstein, I would have just waited till he was available."

The kettle started to bubble and he turned glad for something else to do. No one had ever sort him out to speak with. There were even times when he'd been told to retrieve his better half by the few that had known about him. Those few he'd taken great pleasure in killing once they had crossed the line.

"Do you wish me to call our contact something else?"

Had the Noblesse come to talk to him like he was a person and not just a crazed protect of this body. Even Frankenstein had a habit of sometimes using him more like a tool than a person. He knew Frankenstein didn’t mean to yet he did it. At least he never hid it behind false words.

Fixing his drink he took in a breath of his cold cocoa drink. Letting out a breath he fixed another one using Franky's bright yellow cup.

Taking both drinks to the table he sat down opposite the Noblesse.

"Frankenstein is your Bonded, Franky is your dependant I guess that makes me either your protect or familiar."

He liked the idea of being a familiar, belonging but being his own spirit.

"Familiar?"

"A guardian spirit."

"I do not need a guard."

"I do not need a companion and yet here we are."

The Noblesse inclined his head taking a drink.

"Familiar, if that is what you wish."

"It is."

"My Familiar, thank you for the drink."

Stein grinned, perhaps he could get used to this noble being his.
