Chapter Text
No one had thought that the fucking creator of the universe, father of everything, the literal being who made everyone, would storm through the doors of the newly built Hazbin Hotel.
For a bit of needed context, it had been at least two weeks since the hotel had opened back up, and everything had been going smoothly. Many sinners who had saw the fight between the exorcist and the Hazbin crew saw a new light to Charlie, and we'll, decided to give redemption a try.
(Though not Susan...)
However, it was a sudden suprise on that fateful Thursday night. Charlie had gone to bed hours ago, along with many of the residents. Husk stood at the bar, cleaning out the dish filled sink. Angeldust lounged on the nearby couch. Another resident, Milo, a rather human looking sinner, was just chatted quietly with the porn star. And then there was Lucifer. Sitting at the bar. Drinking.
"... I don't know what the fuck I am doing anymore Husker... Sure, I have Charlie back in my life, but why wasn't I like this before?..." His words drifted off, the many emotions and thoughts clogging his mouth stopped him from speaking more
"Look, if you want my advice, stop worrying about the pass, and focus on what you have now. I learned that the hard way..." A hateful look came over his face, as the certain thought of the radio demon came over the old cat. "Otherwise... You might just loose what you have in the present. And then you'll truely be alone..." Stacking a glass onto the dish rack, Lucifer felt something he hadn't felt in a while...
Light?

.
.
Oh SHI-
The door slams open, a nauseous feeling coming over Lucifer as he turns to the eternal being who he wished had disappeared for longer. There he stood, God, of all living things. His usual attire of the fancy white suite, the galaxy illusion cape hanging off his shoulders, and the four floating eyes. One of which twitched with absolute anger.
"SAMUAL LEE MORNINGSTAR! YOU HAVE ALOT OF FUCKING EXPLAINING TO! DO" ... Yep, if the fall didn't kill him, he was sure this would. Husk immediately knew what was going to happen, being a father himself, he saw had THAT looks in his eye. His father had that look in his eye.
"Angel, Milo, let's go"
"What! No, I want to see sky daddy-"
"Angel!"
"Uhhh.... Fine then!"
*As the three sinners left, Lucifer glared back at the being he who onced called "father". Luckily, his creator didn't use his God given powers to wake everyone in the 7 bloody rings of hell, but chose a more... Anti-earthquake making voice.
".... I'm assuming that you know about Adam?"
"OF COURSE I KNOW! I came back from a long needed vacation to find my first man dead! DEAD!" God stormed over to his youngest, glaring daggers at him.
"You know the uproar in heaven at the moment?! I know what you did! And you won't be getting away with it this time!-"
"Oh shove it up your ass!" Lucifer spoke up. He stood up, well, he was shorter when not on the barstool, but pointed a finger up at him. "Adam and his murders broke the treaty we gad-"
"Fuck the treaty! You harmed Adam when he was defenceless! And then you kill him!?" God was getting more and more angrier at the second.
"Well screw you! I was protecting my home! And MY family!" Lucifer shouted back.
With God, you have to understand that yes, once he did have favourites. But after what happened with Sam- no, Lucifer, he leaned that hey, 'maybe playing favourites isn't the best way to raise your own kids', so, he became gentler. He didn't make his kids fight tooth and nail for his affection.
He was kinder when they were first brought into existence. When his oldest was little, no older then the age of 900 (9 months in Angel years), he had lost his temper at the screaming infant. Making him took ALOT out of him, and the creator had found himself needed rest.
Gabriel had what humans would call coup. The crying that never sleeps. And it got on his nerves. When the infant stopped, stared at him with those big, watering eyes, God knew instantly that screaming, hurting, or anything to make them feel alone and abandoned wasn't going to be the way he would raise his children.
But now, as his youngest, his once most favourite angel, stood in front of him, God saw no other choice.
"... You know what, I think you need to have a reeeeeaaaaaallllll good think about how your actions affect others." Lucifer didn't have a moment to process that until he was violently grabbed by the ear, and dragged over to the lobby couch.
Nononononono!
"What!- ow! Stop that! Let me go!" Kicking and punching didn't work. It wasn't until he was thrown over his father's knee that the reality of the situation sank in. He was going get whooped like a misbehaving child. "No! Stop!- OW!"
The hand came hard down on his behind, and soon, a rapid pace started. Lucifer shoved his head into his arms, to prideful to let his father see him cry.
"I should have done this the first time you decide to define me!" God was ruthless. However, wasn't satisfied with the reaction he was getting. He could change that. Yanking off the devil pants, he began to let go and stop holding back.
Lucifer openly cried, ashamed, and embarrassed. He was sure everyone could hear him. That radio fuck was probably broadcasting the entire thing. However, Lucifer couldn't hold back as he screamed out to his father.
"OK! OK! YOU WIN! PLEASE STOP! IT HURTS!" Fat tears streaming down his face, the king was knocked down. He cried out in pain as his father spoke.
"That's the fucking point! You want to define me?! Break everything over again? Your a spoilt.... Selfish.... Prideful.... BRAT!! Each word came with a hit to the arse. This was getting to much. Bubbling out incoherent words, Lucifer whined as the beating didn't slow.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" He cried out. God scoffed, stopping so he could speak properly.
"I want you lay here, take your punishment, AND SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" Lucifer was beyond terrified. He has seen his father upset and angry, not like this. Not like the trial. This was something new. Many thoughts ran through his mind, everything becoming to overwhelming.
But luckily, with a few, hard, and finally hits, God stopped. Lucifer made no indication to move. He layed there, a blubbering mess, his pants pulled down to his knees, like a child being punished.
After a few moments, God sighed. He muttered something that Lucifer couldn't make out, but his pants were pulled back up gently. His hissed at the contact. He was SURE that he was going to bruise. Then, the unexpected happened.
Gentle arms held him, nothing like before. One supports his back, the other over his lap like a seat belt. It felt nice, comforting. As much as he hates his father right now, he leaned into it like it was a giant warm marshmallow.
The sobbing died down to crying. Then to sniffs and hiccups. They sat there for a while, Lucifer tear stained and exhausted. That was only until God spoke up.
"I don't hate you... I never have, and I never will..." A hand ran through the blondes hair. "But I need you understand that actions always have consequences... I'm sorry that your treaty was broken, but killing adamw as low blow..."
"... He hurt my daughter... He was going to kill him..."
God froze at that. Sera didn't say that...
"You... Have a child? When?" Lucifer looked up, raising an eyebrow.
"Like.... 200 years ago? Sera didn't say. Charlie was trying to redeem sinners, and they came to attack the hotel and... Sera?"
"Sera." Sighing, the father leaned back with his son. Ok, he might have fucked up a little, but that wasn't needed right now. Lucifer didn't say anything, he enjoyed the feeling of his father's arms again. "... I'm sorry... I may have gone a little overboard with that..."
Lucifer shrugged. "Eh, kinda deserved it anyway." Thinking a bit more. "I know I'll probably never go back, but I understand why you were so mad..."
"Oh? Do tell?"
Lucifer sighed, and thought back to what Husk had said. "I wanted to be like you... But I got too Prideful... Too greedy... And I wanted more... When I did, I list so much more. I lost you... I lost my family... My home.... Everything except what I wanted...."
God hummed, wiping the stray tear away from his child's cheek. When did that get there? For the first time in a long time, God smiled at him.
"... Finally.... You understand... One day, you can be redeemed. But you still have a long way to go..." Lucifer hummed, closing his eyes.
"I know dad.... And it's worth every moment. I won't take it for granted this time... I promise..."
"I know you won't, my little dreamer..."
Before Gid could doze off too, Lucifer spoke up.
"I really hope this doesn't bruise..."
