Work Text:

His daughter.

His daughter is born.

Aaravos watches as the stars align with ease, its power touching its partners, creating a Startouch Elf with Aaravos's own soul.

The stars made her.

The stars chose the fate of her horns, merging into one. It makes her unique. Different. Aaravos loves that. He chose the nickname for Leola, Little Unicorn. It suits her well.

What felt like a blink was almost 8 years.

Leola grew and met humans. Aaravos watches as she plays with a group of humans, everyone laughing and playing games. They aren't scared of her, no, they are amazed. They love Leola almost as much as Aaravos love her.

Almost.

He moves on to his little house, and he reads the book, opening it with the Key. He notices the drawing Leola had hidden. It's him in a curly mustache. Aaravos laughs to himself.

Cries and shouts fills his ears.

The smile fell from his face.

Running to the poor scared child, he asks what had happened and where Leola went.

The child weeps and tells him the story.

Golden Dragon, he thinks, it's Sol Regem

He knows where they put his Little Unicorn.

The teleportation was short.

He came there in the blink of an eye.

The Council informs him of Leola giving magic to the humans.

She's just a child, he argues back, She didn't know what she was doing.

The punishment is harsh.

She has to die.

Aaravos argues and tells them to kill him instead of her.

Leola needs to live.

The council tells him that if he wants mercy, he'll have to die along side with his daughter.

This gnawing feeling in his heart ignores the pit in his stomach.

He wants to live.

The council tells him to tell him his final words.

She doesn't want to die.

But neither did he.

He watches as the life of his daughter leaves her.

He watchs the crater crash into a planet.

He weeps for 100 years.

The gnawing  feeling in his heart deepens.

As does his heart blacken.

He needs revenge.

He gifts Dark Magic to those unfortunate.

Good.

The council finds his wrongdoing and imprisions him.

For years.

Until a middle aged man touches the spirit of dark magic.

Aaravos whispers in his ear.

The middle aged man, he found out his name, Viren, followed.

Battles follow.

Viren falls.

Aaravos sighs. He'll have to find another way to get revenge.

He doesn't know if this is right.

But Leola is dead.

Leola needs to be avenged.

He waited for years.

Two years.

Until he felt a touch of Dark Magic.

The boy was small and a mage.

A human mage?

Humans cannot be mages.

But this Human Mage had the Primal Stone.

The Primal Stone Leola handed out.

Good, he has found a new target.

Now he has a new puppet.

It was easy. The boy was already tainted by magic. All he needs is a flick of his wrist and he was at his command.

He felt love for an elf, deep into the boy's heart.

An assassin who cannot kill.

A young king who cannot rule.

A dragon, the Dragon Prince, who caught his father.

And a Knight who doesn't know what to do.

This is a perfect play.

No, wait, he needs to see how this ends.

He'll be free anyway.
