Work Text:
Snow falls outside of the house and softly grazes the frosty windows, the cold outside contrasting the warm inside. There's milk boiling for hot chocolate, there's a fire roaring in the fireplace, and there's a very charming-
"Achoo!"
-yet not so intelligent knight sitting in front of the fireplace, wrapped up in blankets and suffering from a cold.
"We told you it was a bad idea to fight the snowstorm with just a sword." Caramel Cube walks out of the kitchen as her soft voice alerts Knight Helmet of her presence, carrying two mugs of hot chocolate. She hands one of them to the mass of blankets sitting on the floor, before pushing up some of the blankets to plant a kiss right above his visor.
Knight Helmet mumbles out an unintelligible response, accepting the hot chocolate and sipping it as he watches the fire crackle with the soft blush dusting his cheeks from his cold getting warmer.

Plasma Ball groans as she enters the house, tracking snow into the entrance as she locks the door behind her. She was shoveling snow out of the driveway to keep them from getting trapped, and it took her hours to make a mostly clear and safe path. She starts taking off clothing, hats, scarves, jackets, boots, anything she put on to keep herself from getting sick was coming off inside the house. Once she's free from being a plasma marshmallow of clothing, she walks into the living room. Caramel Cube sits on the couch with Knight Helmet in her arms, the cocoon of blankets being fast asleep while the molded wad of caramel has some Hallmark movies running on TV. It's not close to Christmas, but Plasma Ball's too tired to point that out to her.
The true hero of the day slumps down next to Caramel Cube, and her reward for making sure that the three of them didn't get snowed in is a gentle kiss from her dear girlfriend.
"Thank you, sweetheart. Just get comfy and hang onto Knight Helmet, I'll go make you some hot cocoa."
The mass of blankets is handed to Plasma Ball, and the glass globe is given a parting kiss on the cheek before Caramel Cube gets up from the couch. The sickly knight sneezes as he's moved, mumbling as he gets snug in his new position in his other girlfriend's arms. What an idiot, walking out with nothing but some wooden sword and determination expecting to defeat Mother Nature herself.
"Shh... I was so close to winning..."
No he wasn't, but Plasma Ball will pamper him like he won all the same. She moves the blankets away from his face, before pressing kisses all over his visor, above his visor, and his cheeks.
"Nooo... You're gonna get sick... Mmmgh..."
That's the smartest thing he's said all day. Oh well, as if she's going to be worried about being sick, plus he's even getting closer to Plasma Ball. Caramel Cube enters the room after a while, holding a mug for Plasma Ball as she joins the cuddle pile on the couch.
Snow continues to fall outside of the house and softly grazes the frosty windows, the cold outside contrasting the warm inside filled with love and Hallmark reruns.
