Work Text:

POV Hanseo.

My name is Jang Han Seo. I'm a high school student, a brown-haired boy with dark eyes, fair skin, and a slim, but somewhat muscular build. The second son of the Jang family, with an older brother who always makes fun of me, albeit affectionately.

And... I was sure I was straight, because who isn't attracted to girls?

Well, I thought I was, but no...

The reason?

The blame lies with a boy in my class, a boy a little taller than me, with dark eyes and dark hair. He seemed to be a boy who liked to exercise, because he had muscles and his skin was like white porcelain.

During break time, I spent my time watching him, watching him walk back and forth throughout the school with his group of friends.

At first, when I saw a girl with long brown hair talking comfortably next to him, and how she blushed and he laughed, I felt jealous. But after learning that the girl actually spent a lot of time with him, it was because the girl named Hong Cha Young, wanted to get closer to a dark-haired boy named Luca, who was Vincenzo's best friend.

She was so shy that she couldn't do it on her own.

That wasn't my case... Just because I don't talk to him and spend my time pining for him doesn't mean I'm shy, of course not.

Because yes, every day, every moment I saw him pass... I sighed for him.

He's so handsome, a little clumsy, but a true gentleman.

Handsome because... he was tall, his skin was flawless without a single wrinkle, and he was also athletic and intelligent... the complete package. He didn't even look like he was Korean. He even spoke Italian like it was his native language!

Clumsy because... he accidentally brought his pet to class... a pigeon, a pigeon! Who the hell has a pigeon as a pet? And it seemed as if the pigeon had declared me his public enemy. At least that was the first time Vincenzo Cassano smiled at me.

A true gentleman because... Whoever he is, man or woman... or animal, he always helps or protects those in need.

Like the time he protected me from almost being kidnapped, even though he ended up with a black eye and a broken rib. He told me the only thing that mattered was that I was okay. Physically, I was fine, but mentally, I was about to faint.

One day, everything changed... but for the better.

I watched him talk, smile, and laugh like he always did. I sighed for him many times, and he must have heard me because he looked my way.

But he just smiled at me, and I just ducked my head, completely blushing.

The day continued, and when it was time to leave, when the room was deserted except for me and him, he came closer again. Standing in front of me, he took my chin in one of his warm hands. He looked into my eyes intently, both of their dark eyes staring into mine.

And what he said finally made me realize I wasn't straight like I always thought I was.

"I yearn for you too."

And he kissed me... kissed me!

His lips were so soft, and I jumped at the chance and kissed him back—my first, by the way.

And now I'm telling you this: we've been dating for seven years. Although we each have our own careers and goals, we've managed to thrive together.

We live together with a pigeon and a cat.

And in a few more months, we'll be married.
