Chapter Text
“ So you want to talk now, finally?” Kai said, leaning over the balcony, casually resting his elbows on the railing. His back was to the man who followed closely behind him.
Big mistake , the other man thought, as he put his hands in his pocket. He felt around for something in his pocket, sighing silently as he found it.
Kai turned to look at the man, but he could only see a dark figure in the darkness. “Listen… I never meant to say that shit, alright? I was drunk that day and… I didn’t think.” He took a deep puff of his cigarette, and released the smoke. “You also said some things but you know, I forgive you. Please forgive me too.”
The other man didn’t say anything, instead, he charged forward, and pinned Kai’s arms behind him. “What are you-” he yelled, before the man pressed a hand firmly on his mouth, pinning his body against the railing.
“It is kind of cute, Jongin, that you think this is about that night.” The man said. He was eerily calm, barely out of breath. Kai struggled against him weekly. “You wish this was about that.”
Kai’s eyes widened as the realisation dawned on him. A chill went down his spine, and his stomach sunk. “ It’s about her.” he mumbled against his hand. It wasn’t a question.
The other man chuckled darkly. “Of course it is about her. Everything is about her. Don't you get it?"
Kai snapped out of whatever daze he was under, and kicked the man in the shin, hard. Decades of dancing had made his legs stronger than most.
The man’s hold on Kai loosened, and he took the opportunity to spin around, facing him. This action pushed his back further away from the balcony and towards the air. “Yeah, fuck you. Do you think what happened to me won’t happen to you? The girl’s poison. Delicious, irresistible, lovable, yes, but poisonous. She will ruin you.”
The man growled and grabbed Kai’s throat. Not hard enough to bruise, though. “We’ll see about that. I’ve got the dirt on you right here, so you had better shut up. Keep her name out of your mouth. Keep our names out of your mouth.”
Kai couldn’t help but chuckle even through the grim circumstances. “Is that all? Fuck. Fine. In turn, you leave me alone. Both of you. I don’t want to see you both ever again.”
The man mulled it over. “Fine. Deal. Whatever.”
“Great.” Kai said, releasing a deep, relieved breath. “Great.” he said again, more to himself than to his company.
The two men’s bodies were still tangled in the confrontation; Kai’s torso hanging over the balcony. Realising this, kai made to move away, as did the other man and-
Kai’s leg slipped, and he toppled over the railing.
He made eye contact with the man as he fell for what felt like minutes, and even as his skull made contact with a sickening crunch against the hard concrete tile 10 floors below.
“Fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCK!” The man cursed loudly. He hadn’t meant for this to happen.
He wiped a shaking hand across his face, thinking quickly. He looked around, spotting the CCTV camera. He pulled his hood above his head, and ran away quickly the way he came.
