Chapter Text
The surrounding area was eerily quiet, but there was a faint noise coming from the room next door.. music, maybe? It was hard to tell, especially cause Haven was barely on the brink of waking up from his unconscious state. After what felt like eternity, Haven's eyes flickered open. The place he was in was a dimly lit corridor.. strange. Groggily, Haven got up. As he became more aware of his surroundings, he looked around, although, there wasn't much to look at anyway. Grey walls, white flooring. What made Haven confused, however, was how long the corridor was, and how clean it was in general. Who would want this long of a corridor? And why was it so polished?
'I'm getting distracted.' Haven thought to himself. He walked along the corridor, and the music was getting more distinct. It was 8-bit, and strangely.. robotic? As Haven continued walking, his once audible footsteps were being drowned by the repetitive music. How loud is this song? At the end of the corridor, there was a plain white, wooden door. The handle was silver. Hesitantly, Haven reached out to grab it. It was cold. Slowly, he pushed the handle down, and opened the door. There, standing before him, was many people, all dressed in white, and, what was concerning, was the tall, towering being, who was at least 200 feet tall. However, it was hard to tell since the only thing visible was their torso, all the way up to their head. As well as the tall man before him, the door Haven left through disappeared, leaving him on a plain white slab of land, and, instead of walls, there was a massive, swirling, purple hole behind the colossal being.
"Look who decided to join us!"
The tall figure clapped their hands together in delight, and That's when a spotlight shined on both Haven, and the towering man. He had blonde hair, with unnaturally blue eyes, with a navy blue waistcoat over a white, long sleeve, button up shirt.
Everyone turned their attention to Haven. Some of them looked like they were going to die any second. Malnourished, messy, bloodied, walking skeletons. That's what they looked like. Some looked traumatised: scruffy hair, red, puffy faces, and bloodied clothing. What was with the blood? Well. Haven hoped it wasn't blood, but it clearly was. Suddenly, while Haven was thinking about what was with everyone in this damn place, someone shouted out. Haven knew who it was. He knows that voice from anywhere.
"VEN!!"
Quintus, also dressed in plain white clothing, ran up to Haven and Hugged him tightly.
"W.. What is this place..? Where are we..?"
Haven wished he knew the answers to those questions. But before Haven could even say a word, the blue eyed man spoke up in an energetic, booming voice.
"You're in my world now, victim #1037 and victim #1038! Here, we test your ability to survive dangerous scenarios, and if you give a good answer, then you survive! If you don't.. well.."
It seemed that his smirk grew bigger.
"... Bad stuff happens. But don't worry! It's not hard to give a survival-worthy answer! Just use common knowledge, maybe even twist some rules, and I'll judge how you'll do in that situation with your answer you give! I don't care if you make up stuff to make it easier! As long as you participate, I'll be satisfied. And, in case you're wondering, my name is C. G. You can call me your.. 'Judge'. Anyway, proceed through the door, and let the scenario begin!"
Without warning or indication, a white door shows up, and everyone, seemingly reluctant to, walked through the door. Haven and Quintus stared at eachother for a moment. This didn't seem good. But clearly, they couldn't argue with 'Judge' C. G. So, without any more waiting, Haven and Quintus entered the door, scared of what awaited them.
Entry #1:
For some reason, almost everyone in the UPI is disappearing, or at least.. they aren't showing up to the office. And before you say anything about illnesses or anything, they haven't been here for 4 months. Do you understand how bad this is? It's only me and Quintus left. I don't know what to do. Surely they didn't leave. I doubt that everyone would leave. I've been hearing that they've actually gone missing. Nowhere to be seen. I don't know how to feel about this situation. It isn't good. They aren't dead, they aren't hospitalised, they're not hurt or ill or anything. It can't be the work of corrupted ghosts.. or at least ones we've seen. I need to make sure the same doesn't happen to me. And especially Quintus. I'll write more when I find out more information or something happens.
