Crome stumbled into the lab -- no surprise there -- the ly haven't had food for a week. They were both skin and bones, crusted hair from not bathing and dry lips. On the verge of death.
"How's it goin?"
"Failed▪︎ test nine hundred and fifteen thousand-four hundred and eighty-three." He had written it down before saying it 9-1-5-4-8-3. It haunted Senkuu sitting in the lab when Chrome came stumbling in.
"Chrome let's face the facts... we're dying of hunger and there's nothing to eat -- everything's stone -- There's no hope, nobody except us that's not stone." He said that with a raspy voice but it still came across still really harsh Chrome didn't let it shake him. "Let's give up there's no way to revive anybody without the miracle cave... it's a harsh reality but-"
"WHAT?! YOU THINK THERE IS NO WAY TO DO IT I- I KNOW WE CAN DO IT, WE HAVE ALWAYS PUSHED THROUGH AND WE CAN DO IT AGAIN I just think that giving up isn't the right option."
"CHROME, LOOK OUTSIDE, the only thing we have to eat or drink is water everything else is stone."
"Bu- but Senkuu there has to be a way I just know it."
"Then SHOW me Chrome if we even find a way to revive somthing to eat we need manpower, to get meat and keep everything running and we can't sustain anybody else right now we can barely sustain ourselves right now Chrome, uh- I- I can barely lift a pencil." His voice started to quiver
"Ima go look for somthing then. I WILL find somthing we can eat."
"Good luck." Senkuu said that with no millimeter of hope.
Everything was stone, that was edible anyway, any living thing except Chrome and Senkuu. Water was available because the human body can last more than three day without water so they used there last dose of revivel fluid to get the water fresh and sense the healing properties of the petrafication it got rid of all the bad and gross bacteria in the water so it was safe to drink from the start. It has been 376 days sense everybody else has been turned to stone 374 sense water revivel, 128 days sense food started to go scarce, and six days sense they ran out, and 3 minutes and 22 seconds sense Senkuu told Chrome to give up. And 3 seconds sense Chrome has given up.
Chrome looked up in defeat all was stone "even the grass" He muttered. He started walking back while looking at the clouds. 915483 that's how mey tests they had done to make nitric acid out of other things than bat guana and the poop way was just too long. Senkuu the great Senkuu with a will of a 7 billion finally gave up.
"Huh, there's no stopping it I guess" and he had a tear go down his face "I accept it too Senkuu, we're dying and there's no stopping it."
"Ding!"
And then there was a purple light "a purple petrafication beam?"
"SENKUUUUUUUU!!!" He ran into the shed as fast as possible out of breath from overexerting himself all he managed to squeeze out was "purple light ... outside"
Senkuu practicly ran as fast as Kohaku, getting out of the hut he stared wide eyed for a fraction of a second before anything else happened
"It's a purple petrafication beam Chrome! Defensive positions!"
He was on all wires thinking why is it purple and why was the one that pertafied everything else red!? What were there purposes and is thoughts were interrupted by a voice
"Go back my children." And Chrome and Senkuu felt rejuvenated all the weakness from before went away
"Go back to the past." And then they were covered in the purple light.
"Find the source of the stone beam" they were turning into dust like grains of sand in the wind.
"Save humanity starting by going in the past" They were dissapearing inch at a time it didn't hurt it just felt weird like being nauseous but over there entire bodies. It felt odd but reassuring, because the only thing that they felt for a while was pain and defeat, failure, maybe he's dying and hallucinating at the same time and that he's actually delusional. It's illogical bt this made him excited.
"GET EXCITED CHROME, THIS IS EXILERATING!"
