Chapter Text
Kong was strolling across Hollow Earth. The ape was doing his usual activity of exploring the vast landscapes, and taking in the scenery of the place, and all while doing his best to avoid any trouble with any of the other creatures down there; he didn’t really want to have a battle with anyone at the moment.
While exploring, Kong came across a large mountain that had a waterfall was gushing down, and into the clear water that laid below. He decided to climb up the mountain, and have a little sit down at the top. It wasn’t an easy journey up to the top because there was a lot of unstable rocks that were covering the walls of the mountain, but Kong managed them, and reached the peak where a large cliff over looked the landscape of Hollow Earth.
Kong then sat down with his legs dangling over the side of the cliff as he took in the scenery. Even though Kong did this activity every day, he doesn’t get bored of it, and always looks forward to seeing Hollow Earth’s landscapes from one of its many mountain peaks. As Kong took in the view, he felt the tooth that the humans that were friends with Jia had given him which caused him to lift one of his fingers up, and touch the tooth with it. As Kong did this he let out a sigh, but it wasn’t because he felt pain, but rather for the fact that he felt quite insecure about his tooth.
Kong had felt like this for quite a while which caused him to not really look at any of his other fellow apes or even speak to them. Whenever they ask if anything was wrong, Kong simply responded with, “Oh its nothing. I just had a bit of a rough day” before walking away so he could distract himself. It also didn’t really help when the memories of Skar King laughing at him for his tooth came back into his mind which was actually the reason why he was feeling this way; he felt that skar king may have been right, that he was weak, pathetic, and not strong enough.
Kong had been sitting on the cliff of the mountain for quite a long time now. He decided to climb down the mountain, and explore a little more before heading back to the lair with the other Great Apes. As Kong began to get to his feet, his foot slipped on the edge of the cliff which caused him to fall off the cliff of the mountain, and into the water that laid in wait for him at the bottom. Luckily, the water was very deep which caused Kong to have a hard, but not so painful landing.
As Kong kicked towards the surface, and began to make his way towards the shore, he heard noise behind him, and then all of a sudden he felt something large and slippery began to coil around his feet. He then let out a huge roar as the creature caused him to fall, and land face first into the water which then led to it beginning to drag Kong towards the deep end of the water. Kong managed to grab hold of a large rock that was just below the surface of the water which he then slammed into the creature, making it bleed and beginning to slither away, but Kong wasn’t done. He then grabbed hold of the creature after it had loosened its grip, and lifted it up into the air which revealed itself to be the yellow-stripped blue body of a Drownviper. As the viper began to move around viciously in Kong’s grip, Kong pulled which caused a huge chunk of the serpent to be ripped from the body, and blood began to flow out from the wound, causing the serpent to stop moving, and then flop in Kong’s hands until it was motionless.
Kong then took the chunk of the viper he had ripped off with him, and then settled on a rock in a grassy field nearby so he could have it as a snack to celebrate his victory. After he had his feast, Kong got back up onto his feet, and began to do a little more exploring, but the image of Skar King laughing at his tooth kept coming across his mind which made him stop at several points. That’s when he heard a noise coming from one of the portal’s which led back up to the surface so he decided to see who was making their way into Hollow Earth. As Kong drew closer he saw that there was a large cloud of dust on the ground in a field up ahead which indicated that the individual likely came through one of the portals that was on one of the ceiling, and then he saw a figure emerge out of the dust which revealed a tall, dark greyish, reptilian titan who had large pink spikes on his back which led down to the end of his long tail, and whose brownish eyes were staring at Kong as he walked towards him.
“Oh Godzilla, are you alright?” Kong said as he strode over to see if the King of the Monsters was hurt in any form after the fall.
“Don’t worry I’m fine” replied Godzilla, “I have fallen from the sky by Ghidorah before so that fall was nothing” he said with a chuckle, and Kong gave a little smile.
“Anyway, what are you doing down here for?” Kong said.
“I was wondering if you would like to have one of our hangouts again if that alright.” Godzilla replied with a smile.
“Yeah sure” Kong replied.
When he said this Godzilla looked confused and concerned at the same time. Usually Kong would be happy to be hanging out with him, but this time he just seemed upset about something. This then drove Godzilla to ask the question, “Is something on your mind?”
“Oh its nothing. I just had a bit of a rough day”
“Oh well that’s unfortunate” Godzilla said, “How about we go for a walk and catch up on a few things so we can clear you mind?” He then said, and Kong gave a small smile and a nod.
