-Earthrealm-
Special Forces Desert Command
D'vorah was busy rearranging a handful of important files for the SFs in the control room. Only she, and both past and present Johnny occupied the room. Old man Cage was focused on signing himself out of the main computer for the night, while his younger half continued filing his nails, lounged comfortably in one of the roller chairs with his feet kicked up on the desk.
The Kytinn had kept to herself most of the night, but as old man Cage left, she returned his good night. Her mood had definitely shifted, which surprised both Cages'.
Old man Cage smirked and gave the Kytinn ally a nod before glancing off in his younger self's direction, lifting a brow, and settling a hand on his hip.
"Cassie will be in shortly, so in the meantime, don't be a shit head to D'vorah, okay?" He then left them with a wave, and the door slid loudly closed behind him.
The minute that old man Cage left, his younger half scoffed, pulling down his purple sunglasses to peek at D'vorah whilst still filing his nails.
He noticed the slight flutter in her wings, and she turned around, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Don't you have work to do, clone Cage?" She had a binder held to her chest, and a hand on her hip.
The brightly dressed clone stopped filing his nails, and slapped the nail file down onto the desk, lightly jostling the monitors in the process, sitting upright. With his brown puppy eyes still peeking over the rim of his gaudy sunglasses, D'vorah couldn't help growling uncomfortably.
"Nope, old man me took it all, besides, keeping an eye on you is enough work for this guy, beetle babe!" Young Cage smiled and stood from the chair, stretching his arms above his head.
The Kytinn rolled her eyes and turned back around to glance up at one of the monitors. The sudden, but quiet beeping coming from the above monitor caused her to hiss and accidentally press the wrong button on the keyboard.
Young Cage came up from behind D'vorah, extended his arm, and pressed a key that immediately stopped the beeping.
There was no reason for him to be standing close, let alone directly behind the frustrated Kytinn. Young Cage kept the unwanted closeness, looking down into D'vorah's eyes when she turned to face him.
"This One suggests finding something better to occupy your time with." The insectoid lowly mumbled, managing to keep her aggression to a minimum, and boldly pushing him back with her hand.
Hurting young Cage meant hurting Old man Cage, and it wouldn't be fair to him if it was only his younger clone acting a fool.
Young Johnny smirked and backed off, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"Just thought I'd help." He then reclaimed his chair, kicking his feet up again.
D'vorah raised her lip at him, and refocused her attention on her previous task.

The Kytinn was pleased with the work she had completed. She had gotten one whole file cabinet alphabetized while her Earthrealmer partner surfed the internet on one of the monitors.
Being obnoxious and insanely distracting.
"Old man me's still living the dream life, baby!" Young Cage shouted as he scrolled through another wiki page on his present self, engaging with every little detail, with his beloved sunglasses settled atop his head.
D'vorah was trying her hardest to shut him out whilst silently counting to herself as she went through another file cabinet on the other side of the control room.
"That was 20, or...no! 30! Rahh, This One cannot concentrate with you in the room!" She barked, shooting a fierce look over her shoulder at the Earthrealmer who was now taking selfies with her smart phone.
How could she be so foolish to leave such an important device out in the open, especially in close proximity to someone like Johnny young Johnny.
It was given to D'vorah by Cassie, who had also shown her how to use it for important matters, but also to play around with.
The young superstar looked back in D'vorah's direction with a wide smile, waving her over.
She was peeved and it showed. But young Johnny had been properly shown how to handle the Kytinn if she were to ever become hostile, which wasn't to be expected after she had become an ally of the SFs.
The only time she would become aggressive was under stressful situations that were not brought on by her own doing.
Since her time spent with the SFs, D'vorah had become calmer, more compassionate, and a little protective of the Earthrealmers. It was all she could give them, plus her Kytinn abilities, in exchange for them finding her locked away inside Shang Tsung's laboratory, and rescuing her while on a mission.
"What are you doing with This One's smart caller, clone Cage?" The hooded Kytinn grumbled, stomping over to him, her heels clacking across the metal floor, and her wings fully extended outwards.
Young Johnny couldn't help throwing his head back and laughing at her, holding his gut.
"Oh, you mean this smartphone?" He said, waggling it in her face before quickly grabbing her waist with a strong hand, and bringing her down onto his lap for a selfie.
D'vorah immediately reacted with a swift slap across the clone's face, knocking his sunglasses onto the floor.
"Hey, you didn't have to do that!" He groaned, picking up his sunglasses and pouting when he found a crack in one of the lenses after holding them up to the overhead light.
The Kytinn's wings fluttered rapidly, and she swiped her phone off the man's lap, walking away from him with a growl.
"I'm sure old man me felt that, and he's for sure going to question us now!" Young Cage groveled with a sigh, watching D'vorah return to her nightly duties like nothing happened.
"This One does not care what happens for the security cameras have captured everything." D'vorah returned with slight amusement in her naturally small voice, glancing over her shoulder to see the sudden rise in shock in the young superstar's face.
"You know, it's whatevs," Young Cage eventually sighed, leaned back in his chair and flipped the security camera looking down on him from the high corner, the bird. "I've been in deeper shiz before, beetle babe!" He uttered smugly, giving a cheeky smile, and crossing his arms behind his head, as he, once again, kicked his feet up on the desk.
D'vorah narrowed her eyes and went back to recounting the next set of files.
She'd love to sneak a peek at Johnny's personal files, but she had an inkling that all that was in there were all the good things he had accomplished. No dirty laundry, despite her knowing full well he had plenty.
Too much time had passed, and young Cage had finally gotten bored with scrolling through, and rereading his own wiki page on the monitor, standing up to stretch and slink on over to the busy bumble Queen.
She was now working on the floor, settled cross-legged with loads of binders spread out around her like she was preparing herself for a strange kind of seance.
With a yawn, young Cage squatted on his heels, and looked over the binders with a curious gleam in his big puppy eyes.
"Sorry about earlier, can I help this time?"
D'vorah cocked her head in his direction, blinking her eyes, and nodded.
"If you behave yourself." She uttered and young Cage smiled when he noticed the sudden flush of color appear across her nose and cheeks.
The young Earthrealmer was attractive, and there was no doubt about that, but the Kytinn wasn't blushing because of the small gap between her and the superstar. She looked into his big brown eyes and saw old man Cage.
The one who made her wings flutter and her larvae wriggle excitedly.
"You're expecting a lot from me, but I think I can do that!" Young Cage winked and began man handling the binders.
D'vorah straightened out her spine, folded back her wings, and settled her hands down on her knees as she softly exhaled.
The smell of the young superstar resembled old man Cage's, but the differences were undeniable.
"Soo, when are you going to admit that youu have the hots for the old man?" From his hands and knees, hovering over some of the binders, young Cage looked up at his night shift partner, and gently booped her knee.
Her pure obsidian eyes were blown to the size of saucers, and her brows were raised, bottom lip folded in.
She was speechless.
Young Cage blinked and tilted his head to the side, putting his hand over her armoured knee. His smile widened into a more toothy one, big eyes softening.
"Don't stress, beetle babe, the vibes are totally mutual, trust me!"
