- no matter how much fun you're going to have, he's going to have more fun than you
- it'll be like taking a kid to a candy store
- it's just little, normal things like this that he loves doing with you
things that take him out of the idol headspace- the whole time, he's just bouncing around and smiling
- insists on carrying the basket the entire time
- you lose him a few times
- or rather, he gets too excited and wanders off to the next tree and loses you
- tries to hold the basket in one hand and your hand in the other
- which works for a little bit until he drops the basket
- now the two of you walk with the basket in between you
- instead of using the ladders that are conveniently spaced around the apple far, he's jumping for all of the apples
and boy, can he jump- you end up with more apples than either of you could ever need
"the kids are going to have to learn to love apples for the next few weeks." "and if they don't? channie, you can't force them to eat apples." "i'm sure Lee Know and Felix will find something to do with them."
