Work Text:
At the rooftop of Kamiyama High sat two boys eating lunch, where a short scruffy blonde with peach tips that's usually all confident and loud, was fidgety. A surprising sight to see.
The purple haired boy with cyan streaks, stare at the blonde boy in curiosity and confusion as the other's eyes keeps darting back and forth.
When asked if okay, the one who was questioned answered with a quick and flustered, "Yes!", which made the taller wonder what has gotten to the shorter to act in such a way. He feels skeptical of the odd behavior, with an additional feeling he doesn't know nor does he like.
His heart feels so suffocated, he doesn't know why. Everything about how the older is acting is making his chest feel tight and harder to breathe, his thoughts going haywire from the possibilities of why his friend is acting like that.
One secret that is painfully obvious, is that the director likes the star. He was often seen hanging out with him and causing trouble, which results in the actor getting involved as well. That was obvious to everyone, even to the one and only subject of affection himself.
Late at night, where the moon shines the brightest and lights up the sky to the fullest, the stars twinkle brightly as the purple haired boy stares at it, reminding him of the brightest star of them all.
He can't seem to stop thinking about him, how he glows so vividly on stage and when he smiles, like how the sun shines so brightly. Even on the dreary days that he himself has, the other can't seem to stop glowing so brightly, making himself the spotlight of his day and coloring his dull world.
Such a bright star like him can match the sun, for his light never dims in the slightest. He beams as he smiles, talks and acts, continuing to blind everyone with the dazzling glow.
With those thoughts, he can't seem to hate to go on to another tomorrow, anticipating seeing his dear actor in his day.
Even as he sleeps, he dreams all about him. His shining star.
Though the blonde has noticed how the younger clearly likes him, he pretends not to, doubting the obvious display from the other. Even with all that, he still tries to convey his feelings and care to the younger, often making sure he ate and slept well.
With a kind hearted person such as the blonde, it's no surprise that he often helps people that are in need of one or do not need it.
Like this day where he was in such a hurry to get to class that he bumped into someone, hard.
They fell to the floor and the items the other student had been holding had fell, landing with a loud thud.
The books they were holding has fallen and the star hastily stood up, quickly apologizing for his mistake of not looking where he was going, before helping the other student up and also aiding them in getting their books with a face blossoming with rose tinted cheeks, feeling embarrassed.
From behind a wall, a certain someone had seen his red covered face, feeling his heart squeeze so tightly and immediately assuming.
With him seeing his star blushing around someone, he began to think that he might have no chance at all. His head is being filled with a mess of "what if's" and more, assuming that the reason why the blonde has been fidgety and more different was all because he was head over heels for someone.
Here they were once again, at the rooftop of the school, eating lunch. The purple haired boy imagines them as the sun and the moon, with the sun lighting up the moon with its blazing glow and the moon reflecting from its ever glowing light.
Yet, he began to hope for the blonde to stop fidgeting so much, to quit himself from darting his eyes back and forth and wandering away.
'You've always been the one for me, so don't fidget so much. Your eyes are always darting back and forth and it's driving me crazy, don't let your eyes wander from me.' He thought to himself, his chest tightening and suffocating him with an intense amount of emotions.
'I've always loved everything about you, can't you see? More than anyone.' He started thinking, not knowing what had gotten for him to act so differently and unlike his usual self.
"And so I... I like you the most!" Ah. What did he just say out loud? He accidentally blurted that out. He accidentally confessed his feelings, his thoughts leaking out of his mouth that he wished would just zip itself up.
The blonde began choking on his food at the sudden revelation, and the purple haired boy starts to apologize as he hands him his bottle of water, letting him drink water while still apologizing on what he had said and how he caused him to choke.
Once the older had recovered from the food he almost choked on, he had cut off the other with the seal of a sweet kiss. A reciprocation of love.
The older had kissed him, as if to ensure and reassure him, making him feel like such an idiot for thinking otherwise. He had realized why he had been fidgeting and wandering his eyes away from him.
Everything else making sense with a now clear mind, no longer hazed with the feeling he realized, was jealousy.
The purple haired boy was speechless while the blonde pulled away, before they were once again locked into a passionate kiss of love, the younger reciprocating it this time.
At the rooftop of the school they had first talked to each other, they had gotten together.
Much to the dismay and relief of their friends, along with the other's sudden emptiness of wallets and another's addition to their own.
