Dragonslayer Week, Prompt 5: Camp Half-Blood

Summary:

Day 5 of Dragonslayer Week! Sorry this is late!

There are several different interpretations for how Dragonslayer can be represented as demigods within PJO's lore, so this take on them will just be one of many.

Enjoy!

This story assumes that all the canon PJO characters we know and love (with the exception of most immortal beings) are off doing something more interesting. Also, if you imagine Jaune and Yang as different demigods, then please let me know in the comments.

In this story, Jaune is a son of Apollo and Yang is a daughter of Nemesis.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“So, what is it this time?” Jaune asked as he looked at his most frequent patient. For some reason, whenever he was doing his shift in the infirmary, he always had all-female patients. Especially a certain blonde daughter of Nemesis with purple eyes…

“Some war brat thought that he was hot shit. He was wrong.” Yang smirked, flipping a lock of hair over her shoulder before wincing.

“Your shoulder hasn’t fully healed since Capture the Flag.” Jaune sighed. “I told you that I should’ve taken a look at it.” He reached down deep inside and summoned his divine heritage. His hand glowed a pale white as he reached towards her.

“W-Wait…” Yang gulped before exhaling. “Okay, now I’m ready.” She closed her eyes expectantly.

Jaune was confused but he still did his job and gently touched her injured shoulder. She hissed at the contact before the light spread throughout her muscles and bones. Yang’s body relaxed and a gentle smile came across her face. “Are you alright?” Jaune asked, seeing an oddly serene expression on her.

“Uh, yes! Of course!” Yang cleared her throat as her eyes shot open. They were unfocused and misty at first but soon became clear. “You really do have the magic touch, huh?”

Jaune shook his head fondly before letting the light dim. “Is there anything else I can do for you? It’s a fairly light shift today.”

“Well, there is one thing…” Yang began before looking around. The infirmary was empty besides the two of them. “It’s not exactly something that hurts, but I’d like you to use your magic touch on it anyways.”

Jaune frowned but nodded. It was his job to help any and all patients, after all. “What do you need?”

Yang pulled off her vest and lifted up the hem of her shirt. Her abs seemed abnormally hard for some reason. “Ever since the fight, they’ve been twitching.” She admitted with a blush. “Normally, if I get payback on someone who wrongs me, the burst of power goes away, but it’s not fading this time.”

“I think this is a job for Chiron or the Hecate cabin.” Jaune admitted before sighing. “But I can take a look at the very least.”

“Really?” Yang asked with bright eyes. “Is this still considered medicine?”

Yang’s voice trailed off as Jaune focused on her abs. That tugging sensation in the back of his skull subsided as his heart began to thrum louder and louder. Instead of using his father’s heritage, Jaune was digging deep into his ancestral blood and pulling out something secret: the power of Fides.

The Roman goddess of good faith and trust was almost the opposite of the retributive Greek goddess whom Yang called mother, but there was a commonality: their domains dealt with giving and receiving. Nemesis gave and expected equal compensation while Fides gave without expecting anything at all. If Nemesis’ power was causing Yang to expect something she wasn’t going to get, then Fides should be able to make up the difference.

The tugging in his skull returned as a brief prophetic glimpse passed before his eyes. Jaune ripped his hand away as if he had been burned. “Yang, you’ve been keeping something from me, haven’t you?”

Her eyes widened before she looked at the ground. “M-Maybe. I didn’t see what the problem would be. It’s not like Mother cares too much about romance and all that, right?”

Jaune sighed. “Yang, what is it? You’re treating this as a transaction, whether you realize it or not. If you don’t start reciprocating, you’ll only get worse.”

“Do you know what your touch does to someone?” Yang asked suddenly, changing the subject.

“It relieves their pain and restores their body to health, right?” Jaune asked. “I mean, that’s pretty much what everyone’s told me.”

“Yeah, but it feels so good.” Yang said, taking Jaune’s hands in hers. “It’s like… It’s like we can feel how much you care with each and every touch. How deeply you wish for us to get better without any expectation of payment or reward. And all of that is accompanied by the pleasurable sensation of our pain fading away into your light.”

Jaune’s face was turning bright red. “O-Okay—” He was interrupted as Yang continued.

“And it only gets more intense the stronger our feelings are for you.” Yang finished, her face bright red. “F-For me, being healed by you is even better than getting even with someone.

Jaune’s eyes widened. “Of course! I don’t expect anything from you.” Yang assured him. “I know it’s not intentional, but I just felt like you had to know…”

“Yang. Let me tell you a secret.” Jaune said calmly, gently squeezing her hands. “Remember when I came here? I was confused by everything. My own siblings didn’t want me with them, but you and Ruby accepted me without even hesitating. So, I feel like it’s more than time for me to reveal that I’m half-Roman.”

This time, Yang’s eyes widened. “What?!”

Jaune nodded. “Yes, my mother is a legacy of Fides, the Roman goddess of trust and good faith. I have seven full-blooded sisters who are the daughters of Apollo’s Roman form.” Yang’s eyes widened even more. “And I’m the Greek sheep of the family; the only child born of Apollo’s Greek form.”

“Don’t you have a twin sister though!” Yang asked before wincing.

Jaune’s face turned pale before he swallowed back his nausea. “Dad was, uh, doubly involved that time.” He looked away, his face feeling like it was on fire.

Yang’s wasn’t much better. “T-That explains a lot though.” She gulped. “I mean, combat-wise, you’ve done better with thrusting swords than slashing ones.”

“Does that change anything?” Jaune asked, refocusing the conversation. “Knowing that I’m not quite normal?”

Yang frowned before bringing Jaune into a hug. He felt her swollen abs soften slightly. For some reason, hugging him was reciprocating something he didn’t even know he was doing.”

“Jaune Arc, I have feelings for you.” Yang said before kissing him. “You stupid, selfless idiot!” She smacked him gently on the chest before resting her head against his chest. “And this isn’t me trying to even out anything, this is me finally having enough of holding in all these feelings without letting them out.”

“I’ve liked you for a while, Yang.” Jaune admitted, causing her to jolt. “What? Did you think otherwise?”

“You’re just so giving, okay!” Yang exclaimed, burying her face into his chest. “You’re never selfish, so I just thought that you cared for everyone that way…”

“You make it hard on me, you know.” Jaune whispered. “I’m always wanting to give you more attention, more treatment, but I know it’s unprofessional. And beyond that, I didn’t think I’d be anything more than your friend.”

“That changes today.” Yang stated firmly before passionately kissing him. “And don’t worry, I’m the only child of Nemesis at camp, after all. We’re not ever going to be interrupted.”

Jaune’s eyes widened. ‘This is escalating quickly.’ Jaune gulped before following Yang against his common sense. “You go son!” That was Apollo’s voice. “Here, a little blessing from me and your great-grandmother!”

Jaune’s body overflowed with vitality as the light which normally coalesced in his brain and his hands spread throughout his entire body. “Now you can keep up with her. After all, you have a lot of orgasms to make up for…” Apollo whispered proudly.

Jaune’s face turned bright red. Oh, that was the balance Yang needed to put right… ‘This is going to be a long night.’ With that, Jaune prepared himself for the best (and possibly last) night of his life.

The End.
