Codegreen Jaiden (a Bluebird Jaiden au)

Summary:

The codes always gave Jaiden mixed signals. Kinda? Maybe explaining will help. The codes are set on killing the eggs. Jaiden doesn't like that. But also, the codes always kinda avoided her? And she did not know what was up with that.
But one day, a code accidentally hits her and memories start coming back.
Should she trust the federation more or less with these newfound memories? She didn't know.

(Yeah, so I decided to countinue cuz idfk motivation is silly. Don't expect any chapters soon, tho. And yes it'll be pretty short cuz I think I'll wrap it up pretty quickly, and the story in my head was never finished, so uh... I'll just write it till then and we'll see what happens, i guess.)(I SWEAR THIS SUMMER(26) WILL BE THE ONE)

Notes:

Hiiiiiiiii!
This is an au I started writing before purgatory. But then a lot of personal stuff happened, and I lost motivation. This has been sitting in my notes app for a while, so I figured why not post it? I'm pretty sure I won't finish it, but oh well, if inspiration strikes me who am I to fight it? (It struck me)
But if anyone's curious, I could explain stuff in a 2nd chapter :] (Not anymore!)
Also this is my first work :P
If you find any mistakes PLEASE correct me
So yep, decided to countinue (at least a 2nd chapter, but my procastination is pretty bad for school in itself, but im trying my best i swear)
Update: ITS NOT ABANDONED I PROMISE THE FINALS ARE OVER GIVE ME SOME TIME

Update: nvm who knew acting school would take up so much time

Work Text:

Jaiden woke up to the sun shining bright in the middle of the day. Wait, the sun? This isn't where her nest was- Oh. She fell asleep watching the sunset again. She should just move her nest here at this point.

Jaiden got up, went down and did her morning routine. Got dressed, ate breakfeast, brushed her teeth, pre-. No. No preening. It just didn't feel right. She didn't feel the need anymore. She didn't know why, maybe it was that they would never soar the blue sky again, maybe the fact that she didn't have a flock around her, as she lived alone. (By her own choice.) She did consider some people her flock, but as they lived so far away, it wasn't a normal flock, and not in a good way. If they were still flock... It's complicated, okay?

But, she couldn't just spend her entire day wondering about her situation. She checked her map, looking for someone to talk with. And there, at the museum, were Cellbit and Roier, and hopefully Richas too. She gripped her warpstone, concentrated, and teleported to... Hmm, a walk would be nice ..spawn. Purple particles surrounded her, as she felt like she was at two places and nowhere at the same time. But as quickly as the feeling came, it went away as she materialised at spawn.

She put her stone away in her pocket, and started walking, mumbling a Hatsune Miku song. It was nice. Really, it was. The walk was relaxing, as the birds chirped and the sun shined. Some of the birds said some goofy things, making her chuckle a bit sometimes. It was really nice walking.

Until it wasn't. She just had to jinx it, of course. Out of nowhere, a code appeared in front of her. Wait.. is it headed towards the museum?! Accidentally, she let out a small gasp. The code turned around as it drew it's weapon, but when it noticed it was Jaiden, it disappeared. Immidietly. ...What?? Why didn't it attack, it doesn't just leave people alone, does it? It can't be scared of her, this is literally the first time she's met it!... Jaiden's just gonna message the others.

She took out her communicator, and began typing.

hey guys, i just saw a code at spawn

L

when it saw me it disappeared

should i be worried?

PLOT ARMOR NOT FAIR

Im coming

omw

do you know where it's headed?

the muesum if i had to guess, that's were i was going

no mames

Me, Roier and Richas are at the museum.

She started running, her warpstone still on cooldown.

its here

When she arrived, she saw Cellbit and Roier trying to fight the code, meanwhile Richas hid. She went over to him, and whispered reassourunces to him, trying to calm the child down.(She wouldn't be any use in the fight anway) It somewhat worked. About 10 seconds later Etoiles and Phil arrived, taking the fight away from Cell and Roier. The couple went over to them , but before they could get there, the code went to attack the dragonling.

"Richas, NO!" someone shouted as Jaiden shoved him out of the way, the code hitting her in the head instead. She looked at Richas for reassurence, to see if he was okay. He was, and Jaiden let go, losing her vision.

[{(pov switch)}]

Cellbit might have been panciking a bit, but just a bit. He was fighting the code with Roier, when they saw Jaiden arrive. She ran straight to Richas. Cellbit was glad that atleast Richas didn't just need to hide and watch as his parents were fighting for his life, instead being comforted by one of his family members. A few seconds later Etoiles and Phil arrived, taking the fight away from them. The husbands ate some golden apples, then started running towards their son.

But then, the code rushed to Richas, holding it's sword up to take a swing, and-

"Richas, NO!" Cellbit screamed, but before it could hit the child, Jaiden took action, resulting in her taking a hit in the head and blacking out.

"Are you scared?! Come fight me, then!" Etoiles yelled meanwhile taking a swing at it, distracting the code again and continuing the 2v1, taking the code further away from the passed out girl.

Cellbit hugged Richas, and Roier immidietly went to check on Jaiden.

"Jaiden?! Are you okay, man?!"

She didn't answer.

Roier started searching his backpack, "Uhh, okay, okay! Don't worry, everything's going to be fine." The spider said both to himself and the bird.

Cellbit went over to them, Richas close to him.

"Yeah. It's going to be okay."

It was a promise. A promise to comfort his son, a promise to calm his husband down, a promise to Jaiden, and a promise to himself.
Roier pulled out some healing potions, and some golden apples. He trew a healing potion, just to be safe.

Then, Jaiden moved a bit.

"Who...?" there was a frown on her face.

They all looked at eachother.

"What?" They all said at the same time, Richas signing it.

"Maybe she's dreaming?"

"She got knocked out Richas, she didnt fell asleep! ... did she?"

"I don't know Guapito."

"Me neither Gatinho."

The door white as snow opened, only warning of the motion were two knocks. A white haired man, with a matching white uniform and a mask with a smile on it's face stepped into the room.

"Good morning Blue Bird."

"Cucurucho!" A little girl with two beautiful blue wings on her back dropped the books she was reading on her bed and ran over and hugged him for a brief second.

"The others are outside in the garden. How come you're not?" The man asked.

"I didn't feel like it. €3!!b1t (Who...?) already took the only good shadow spot outside right now, so I just decided to stay inside my room. I'm really sorry, I forgot to tell you." the girl's lips bent downwards, wobbling a bit, and she looked at the floor.

"It's okay, Blue Bird, but it shouldn't happen again. Now come, you need fresh air."

It was true. There weren't any windows in the small bedroom. Not above the deep purple and white bed that streched out from one wall to the one opposing it, not next to the turquoise bookcase in the corner standing next to the bed, not one in front of the white desk with a warped-wooden chair.. Not a single one.

"Okay, Cucurucho." She said and took his hand as they left the room.

-=x+x=-

Jaiden suddenly woke up, more confused than anything. What was that? A vision? A dream? A memory? Why did she only remember it now?

"JAIDEN!" she was tackled in a hug.

"Here, eat this." When she looked up, she saw Cellbit giving him a golden apple, but when they made eye contact, another memory returned to her.

-=x+x=-

"But those are so boring!"

"It is literally the exact opposite, Jaiden."

"It is not! It's always the first person they talk to, anyway."

"No it isn't! For example, I'm pretty sure that in this book it's the buttler, or it could be the cook, their alibys don't match up, but-"

"Okay okay okay, I get it! You're just a detective book bookworm, Cellbit."

"Yeah, that sounds about right." He smiled. "So, what books do you like, Jaiden?"

"Hmm. I don't really know, I guess there are books i like and books I don't." She shrugged.

"Maybe nature books? Or-"

"Ooh! Oooh! I know, I know! My favourite book is The Bible."

They both started laughing.

"Jaiden, that's not even a genre of books!" Cellbit said between laughs.

Once they calmed down, she started thinking about it. What books does she read when she needs inspiration? Sometimes she just looks at the pictures. Oh, but she does like reading about other birds. She's trying to find out what bird hybrid she is.

"I guess books about birds."

"Why am I not suprised?"

-=x+x=-

WHAT?! Cellbit was there too?! She'll need a moment to process that. Or two. Or ten. She was feeling overwhelmed, and her eyes were stinging.

The person who hugged her pulled away, and panicked, worried brown eyes meet hers.

"Jaiden?"

"Oh no.." she whispered as she felt another memory hit her like a truck.

-=x+x=-

"Just tell himmm"

"Nu uh."

"Roier, I swear, he likes you back."

"Lying is not tolerated in this houshehold, Jaiden."

"Roier. I'm saying this as your best friend, you know I wouldn't lie about something like this. I can confidently say, that yes, Cellbit likes you too, and I know this beacouse he is also a really close friend of mine and beacouse it is painfully obivous."

"Jaiden, I want to belive you man, but what's your proof?"

"He literally calls you Guapito, and you call him Gatinho."

Roier blushed.

"Ay, pendejo!" Jaiden just raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Okay, but what if he sees it as just a homie thing? I mean, there's no way he likes me back, he's literally-"

Aaaand the spider went on his usual rant about why Cellbit is perfect. It was a habit at this point. But, this time, Jaiden had a plan. The moment Roier turned around, talking with intense hand motions, she sent a message to Cellbit.

come to my door, and just listen in. don't give any signs that you are here. don't knock, nothing. hurry!

Is everything okay?

yes, now hurry!

Ok

"-and he's so funny, and did I mention intelligent?? Seriously, i don't exactly know what tests he goes trough, but I do know they involve a lot of puzzles, his accent is so cute, but at the same time he's hot, and when he purrs, I-"

"Jesus Christ Roier, you will sufficate, remember to breathe! I swear, if you die ranting about Cell before u tell him, I will go to hell myself and bring u back up." They both chuckled a bit at that.

"Hell? C'mon man, I'd go to heaven, and you know it!"

"Fine. Anyways, I'm getting hungry. I'm going to get some snacks, meanwhile you can draw yourself in heaven if you want to, beacouse I'd have to see it to belive it."

"Ay, pinche pendejo! I'll do it, but only beacouse I want to."

"Okaaay."

She went out the door, careful to open it just enough so she can slip trough. And there Cellbit was, completely flushed, face redder than a tomato.

"You're welcome." She whispered. "Come." And they began walking towards the cafeteria.

After a few moments of silence, Cellbit spoke up.

"Please tell me this isn't some cruel prank." it was barerly louder than a whisper. Jaiden chuckled a bit at that, then instantly reassured him.

"It's real. I wasn't lying when I said he's head-over-heels for you. He loves you just as much as you love him." She was proud of herself. It was about time atleast one of them know about it.

Cellbit turned even redder at that, making Jaiden giggle.

"Let's just get the snack." he murmured, face still red.

-=x+x=-

ROIER TOO?! Where did their memories go? And why did she remember now?

She also started to feel a bit light-headed. Yay.

"Jaiden? Why are you crying?? How hurt are you???"

"Eat the apple" Cellbit said.

"N-no, it's not like that, it's just-" Roier pulled her close again, her tears starining Roier's red jumper.

At that moment, Fit also arrived, along with Foolish and Baghera. The bald man instantly went over to help Etoiles and Phil out, meanwhile Foolish and Baghera went over to them. It was then when she noticed Richas wasn't here anymore. Good. He was safe.

"Hey guys! Jaiden, what happened?" The shark-totem hybrid laughed a bit, confused.

"Hi Jaiden" was all Baghera said. Or maybe she said more, but Jaiden barerly even heard that, as she locked eyes with Foolish. "Not you too.." was all she managed to get out.

-=x+x=-

"Shhhh! Stop whispering!"

"You stop giggling first!"

"No, you!"

Foolish and Jaiden countinued to bicker in hushed whispers, hiding in the bush. They have set up a prank. Again. They really should know they couldn't keep getting away with this.

This time, they set up the tipical water-bucket-above-the-door prank, so if anyone comes out to the garden to check on them, they would get water dumped all over them. They just had to hope it wouldn't be someone important like Cucurucho to fall for their little trap.

"Shush, sush! Someone's coming!"

"Shhh!"

It was a poor employee. And now, they were sitting in Cucurucho's office.

"I swear, it's always you two trouble makers."

"Sorry.." They both said a bit sheepishly.

"It's-" a deep breath. "Just don't do it again. We will have to punish you two this time tough."

"Wait what, no!"

"No! We're sorry!"

"We can't let you guys always get away with this. No more painting for you Bluebird, and no more legos or playdough for you Goldshark. Atleast for a week."

"NOO!" They both shouted at the same time.

"Where did you guys get the bucket anyway?"

"From the janitor." Foolish replied.

"Specifically who? We'll have to fire them."

"Wait what?! No! We stole it!"

"Yeah! Don't fire them, Cucurucho!"

"Please." Jaiden was using her puppy eyes as she said this. It usually worked on Cucurucho.

Foolish noticed, and he pulled out his puppy eyes as well. Altough it wasn't as good as Jaiden's, it still helped the cause.

Cucurucho sighed, and looked like he was contemplating.

"Fine."

"WOOO!"

"Thanks, Cucurucho!"

They hugged him at the same time. He hugged them back.

-=x+x=-

Foolish is there too. Okay. Amazing. Wonderful. Anyone else?

...

Baghera.

She could hear muffled noises. Her vision a bit blurry, and her eyes were stinging. She was a bit scared to look at Baghera, but she'd have to do it anyway, so she might as well. She looked over to her, and the duck was already looking at her. She was right, here comes another memory.

-=x+x=-

"Do you think we'll ever learn to fly?"

Baghera asked breaking the comfy silence. They were outside, laying down on the grass and just looking at the clouds.

"I don't know. Maybe."

"Would we even have the time? The experiments really tire me sometimes. Especially when it's with Cucurucho. He's just- so- cold... emotionless."

Jaiden stayed silent, instead just humming a response. She always hated lying, so when the federation forced her to learn it and do it, instead she covered her true answer. She tought it was better, beacouse then you'd get to decide who knew wich side you're on. Your enemy wouldn't know if your with them or against them. Or, they could just assume you agree. It's a win-win.

"Atleast one fourth of my tests are with him. Worst tests of all time. And all I can do is just smile, beacouse I need to be perfect, perfect, perfect.", she mocked. Wow. Baghera really did sound like she hated Cucurucho. But why? Jaiden just didn't get it.

"And those are the harsest ones as well! It's just- ughhh. You get what I mean."

She didn't.

"That's probably the thing I hate the most here, among many other things of course. But that is defenitely number one." She tought for a bit. " What do you hate the most here, Jaiden?" She sounded genuietly curious. Like she had no idea what the asnwer would be. Jaiden didn't have any ideas either. Luckily, just as she was about to open her mouth to improvise a response, the workers took them for tests.

Well, that's a save.

-=x+x=-

Deep breaths Jaiden, deep breaths.

Fuck this, this is too much.

She tried to open her eyes, but the light was blinding. She blinked a few times, the blurriness also going away a bit. She felt so light headed, and all the noises that sorrounded her were a muffled. She couldn't make out anything.

Everyone was sorrounding her. She tried to sit up, and immidietly found herself in Roier's warm embrace. She hugged back, and while she still couldn't make out sounds, her hearing was starting to clear up.

"It's okay Roier, I'm fine now."

He tightened the hug.

"Are ....u... sur..?"

"Yeah? Sorry, I'm having a hard time hearing." And understanding. Her hearing was much better now, but it switched being understandable and not. It was like they were speaking another language. Then it swtiched back. Like glitching. Weird. Concerning... Meh, I'm sure it'll be finee.

(Spoiler: it won't be fine)
