Chapter Text
The day started fairly normal for Tamaki. He had gotten a good night's sleep and was feeling pretty good.
When he got to the hero agency, Mirio, Nejire, and he owned together, he felt an ominous feeling but ignored it, thinking it was anxiety.
After 6 years of being a pro hero, his anxiety had lessened, but most days, it was still pretty bad. Some days, like that day, he would have a bad feeling about something, but it was usually just that a feeling. So he ignored it. Instead, he went to talk to Mirio, who was patrolling with him today.
Four years ago, Eri was able to reverse the effects of the quirk erasing bullets, allowing Mirio to get his quirk back. Three and a half years ago, Mirio was able to get his hero's license back, so Mirio was able to join Nejire and Tamaki on the field.
During the two years after the war, the three had stayed friends and often trained together. By the time Mario got his quirk back, he was well-versed in multiple martial arts.
During this specific patrol, nothing seemed off. It was just another normal patrol. It was nearing the end of their patrol when there was a robbery. They were able to make quick work of the robbers, but when they went to turn them in to the police, they heard honking from a big vehicle coming closer.
When the robbers heard the honking they all shared a look. People quickly parted as a semi-truck came barrelling down the street towards them.
Tamaki and the police were able to get out of the way, but Mirio was forced to use his quirk, making the two robbers he was holding escape. One ran towards the semi while the other attacked Tamaki. Their quirk caused a big flash, which blinded Tamaki and Mario, allowing the robbers to escape his grip.
The robbers helped each other get into the semi while the two pro heroes were downed. As the truck started speeding away, Tamaki manifested octopus tentacles and used the suckers to stick to the side of the semi-truck.
When the robbers noticed him, one lunged at him with a knife and Tamaki was easily able to disarm him. Another one goes to attack him, they distract him while another gets behind Tamaki. The last thing Tamaki remembers was the feeling of a hand on his shoulder and seeing black.
When Tamaki wakes up, he feels hot and feverish; one of the first things he notices is the world looks bigger. He wonders, slightly dizzy, if he shrunk due to the quirk. When he notices two people standing next to his bed.
They are saying something but he can't make it out through the fog in his head. He feels a wave of sleepiness wash through him, but before he falls back asleep, he notices his hands are tiny, like a toddler's, he thinks as his eyes close.
