It was dark, so dark the only light sources were the Lights of the Country above, the Casino of Las Navadas Glowing in the mist of the rain Falling, it was Mid Winter, but it hadn't gotten cold enough for the usual Snow in Las Navadas.
The Store fronts were dark as it was well past midnight, only the strip clubs and bars were illuminated in the pale light. Strings of Lights and Tinsle floated Above, giving off a small amount of light, a Christmas tree glowed in front of the Large fountain, a star shimmering at the very top, and hundreds of Ordiments hung around it, each from a citizen of Las Navadas.
In the glimmering Midst of all the Seasonal beauty, Was Wilbur and Quackity, Dancing in the rain, laughing and having fun as they swirled around eachother, Wilbur wore a Christmas themed sweater while Quackity was still in his Uniform, the white shirt Slightly clear from the rain.
They pulled eachother close infront of the tree, smiling. "Quackity" Wilbur spoke softly,
"Hm? What is it Wil? Why'd you stop dancing?" Quackity asked.
"I uh- wanted to Say something, considering it's Winter Solstice tonight" Wilbur explained, a light blush on his face, cast in a small shadow from the glimmering light of the Tree.
"What is it?" Quackity asked hesitantly, unsure of where Wilbur was going with this.
"Well, we've been dating for 12 months, 1 year, as of New Year's..and i know that's a huge holiday because of it, but with the stress of Christmas I wanted to use a lesser known Time of year." Wilbur Spoke Softly, lovingly staring at Quackity.
"Yeah? Okay, what about winter Solstice? We can't see the Aurora borealis, it's raining" Quackity explained. "I know, I know, but I Uhm-" Wilbur thought for a moment, staring at Quackity.
"Wait Wilbur are you-?" Quackity started before getting cut off by Wilbur, slowly getting onto one knee and pulling out a box from his pocket, opening it to reveal a ring. "Quackity, you are the best thing to ever happen to me, through everything, no matter what side we were on, I could go to you." Wilbur Explained.
Quackity started Blushing and stood there with his hands covering his mouth. "Quackity, Will you marry me? Please? There's no time on this earth I don't wanna spend with you" Wilbur said, His face red, eyes glowing from the reflection of the tree, nothing but love traced his words.
Quackity stood for a second and took his hands away, almost crying, "Yes. Yes Wilbur, Fuck, Yes." He said quickly.
Wilbur stood up and carefully placed the ring onto Quackity's hand, then pulled him into a tight hug.
"Idiot, you really had to make me feel Special huh?" Quackity said jokingly, Wilbur laughed softly in response, "of course I did"
Quackity huffed and let go of Wilbur, Before grabbing the collar of his Sweater and pulling him into a kiss. Wilbur melted into kiss, pulling Quackity closer to him.
It was Perfect, a perfect Night, their First kiss as a newly engaged couple, right infront of the Shining Tree in the cool rain of the shortest day of the year.
Quackity pulled away from the kiss, "I love you Wilbur" he smiled. "I love you too Quackity…does this mean I can finally move in with you?" Wilbur asked.
Quackity rolled his eyes, "you might as well already be living with me, we spend every second together" "I know, I know, just wanted to check Darling" Quackity Blushed at Wilbur's words, "Idiot !" He said, buring his face in Wilbur's chest.
It truly was, the best night of the year.
