Chapter Text
At a train station, a woman with white porcelain skin walked out of the exit doorway. In her white dress-gloved hands, she was holding her luggage. She stopped walking to take out her light pink parasol (which was laced with white fabric on the tips). She unfolded it like a flower had bloomed its open petals to give herself shade from the scorching sun’s rays. “Woah, it sure is hot today. At least, I brought my parasol with me.”
On the other hand, she continued carrying her suitcase while the other was holding the handle to the parasol. She walked out of the train station and made her way to the city of Paris. She gasped in happiness and shock. “Ah ! Paris is so beautiful here!” Her violet eyes sparkled in admiration with white shines. “I can’t believe that I’m actually here.”
She saw a fountain of water at the center outside in front of her. “So pretty. The first thing I will do. Is get settled into a hotel.”
“Nothing will get in the way of this wonderful day I’m having–” She admired her reflection below in the water, but all that had come to an abrupt end.

…..
SPLASH!
A man in a vanilla-cream suit of fashion was standing behind her and had bumped his elbow. Which, in turn, had pushed her to fall backwards into the fountain. She was now drenched in nothing but cold water from head to toe. Her suitcase dropped onto the concrete ground. Meanwhile, her fingers had slipped off the handle of her parasol. It floated across her in the fountain’s circular water system.
“Huh!? What was that?” The tan skinned man turned around in confusion to his friend. “It sounded like a loud splash of water? Right, Vanitas?”
“Noé! You fool! Turn around! I swear, your ignorance knows no bounds!” Vanitas shouted, pointing his finger to the fountain. “You were too clueless of a wreck to notice where you were standing at. That you accidentally bumped into a lady, making her fall into the fountain!” He chuckled out loud. “I can’t believe you didn’t notice that!”
“What!? Really!?” Noé gasped. “Oh no! I must help her at once and give her a formal apology for my actions!” He turned around to look at the fountain. Seeing a woman with fine, hot pink curled locks of hair.
He stepped into the fountain. “Are you alright, Mademoiselle?” He extended his hand out to her.
“Y-yes. I am.” The woman took his hand, helping her stand up and get out of the fountain.
“I’m so sorry for bumping into you near the fountain! This is all my fault! That you’re soaked with water!”
The mystery woman squeezed the water out of the bottom trim of her pastel pink gown with her hands. She looked up at Noé. “I–”
Noé bowed his head down to her. “It was all an honest accident! I promise you that I didn’t mean it! Please accept my dearest apologies, Mademoiselle! I wasn’t paying any attention to my surroundings and pushed you by accident with my elbow.”
Vanitas stopped laughing. “Noé, you’re such a fun riot to have around.”
“Um.. it’s okay. No hard feelings.” The lady squeezed the water out of her curly locks.
Noé picked up the parasol in the fountain and shaken it off for the water to come off. He handed it to her by the handle. “Here you go. Your parasol. My name is Noé. Noé Archiviste.”
“Thank you.” The lady grabbed it with her open hand. She then picked up her dry suitcase on the ground.
“And what may your name be?” The man asked.
“My name? I’m Valentine Sweetheart.”
“Your name is Valentine Sweetheart? Ha-ha-ha-ha!” Vanitas burst into laughter. “That’s so cute! It suits you so well with your lovely appearance!”
“Um..” Valentine blushed on her cheeks. “Thank you?” She looked up at him in confusion. ‘Hmm..no one has ever told me that before about my name?’ She thought to herself. ’That is the first time I have ever heard that.’
“I’m so sorry about him. You will have to excuse my friend. He usually means well. Please ignore his laughter. He doesn’t mean that as an insult to you or your name.” Noé said as Vanitas was still laughing in the background. “You will have to excuse him.” He took off his hat and bowed his head down in shame. “Please forgive him, Miss Valentine. I hope your feelings aren’t hurt by him saying those words to you.”
“It’s alright, Noé. I’m not hurt by it. Thank you for the clarification.”
