Smoke and Tentacles

Work Text:

The darkness was suffocating.

Only seconds prior the lights had abnormally flickered a few times then had gone out completely. Leaving him alone there in the dark, or so he thought.

Something shifted. Where in the room?━He couldn't tell. His breathing increased, eyes darting around the blackness. Inhaling again, he tasted something on his tongue, something musky and a bit sweet. The air in his lungs stared to feel heavy. He started coughing, dropping to his knees. He held his chest, panting now.

More shifting. This time closer. The sweet air started to envelop his senses; he felt dizzy, weak, and disoriented. His skin was buzzing, he felt as if he were burning from the inside out.

"Already aroused after inhaling such little smoke. I knew it was potent, but it worked much faster than I'd expected."

A voice growled, sounding scarily close. His heavy-lidded eyes widened and darted around the dark room. He could feel eyes on him, predatory, pinning him in place.

"Who are you..!"

His voice came out hoarse, cracking with fear.

"Shh.. Thats not important. What is important is taking care of you."

The voice replied in a gravelly purr.

Something smooth coiled up his arm and he jolted. The tendril sensed his movement and held him in place as another cool tendril wrapped around his other arm.

He wanted to struggle and thrash against them, but the smoke was still filling his chest, swirling inside of him. The fogginess in his head was making it hard to function, all he could focus on was the smooth sensation of the tendrils continuing to coil around him.

"S-Stop.. Why are you... Doing this to me.."

He wheezed out, barely able to push the words past his lips.

He heard a low guttural chuckle then a hand seized his chin, not hard, but rough enough to make a startled sound escape him. His head was tilted up and he met its eyes, they glowed an otherworldly violet.

It studied him, unblinking. Whatever it was could clearly see better than him in this pitch blackness. And however much he squinted he couldn't make out how large the creatures form was or what it's face looked like behind the vail of darkness engulfing them.

"Do I need a reason."

Came a reply, dark and sultry. Then the creature leaned in and with his mouth already agape the monster forced its long tendril-like tongue into his mouth.
