Work Text:

“Thank you,” Pete smiled at the maid who let him in the house and told him that Vegas was on his way to see him and that Pete could go to the living room to wait for him if he wanted to.

Pete didn’t make it to the living room however.

“Pete! Pete guess what?” Macau was so excited about something he barely managed to stop in time before he bumped into Pete who laughed and caught the boy so he wouldn’t end up on the floor.

“I am going to be a big brother, just like Vegas!” Macau didn’t even let Pete try to guess what the news was.

“What?” Pete asked with a mixture of surprise and confusion but still with a smile on his face.

“Macau!” Vegas came running after Macau. “I told you I will tell Pete myself!” he added, clearly annoyed that Macau robbed Vegas of the pleasure of sharing the good news with his boyfriend. Well… good news… at that moment the idea of having another little brother or sister didn’t sound that great to Vegas.

“Isn’t it great, Pete?” Macau ignored Vegas and kept looking at Pete with a big proud smile on his face.

“It’s amazing!” Pete agreed happily and hugged Macau. “You must be really happy that you’re going to have two little siblings,” Pete smiled at Vegas who came closer and pulled Macau away from Pete, despite Macau’s protests, so he could replace Macau’s place and hug Pete.

“I will not,” Vegas shook his head when he pulled back. “My family can’t afford to have three kids so we are selling Macau,” he added and glanced at his little brother who frowned at hearing that before he looked at Pete.

“Will you buy me then, Pete?” Macau asked and went back to Pete and wrapped his arms around Pete’s middle while looking up at him.

“Pete isn’t crazy, Macau,” Vegas shook his head and pulled Macau away from Pete again so they could finally get to the living room.

“I would take you home with me for free if I could, Macau,” Pete smiled at the boy whose smile grew wider upon hearing that.

“So you are crazy then?” Vegas asked teasingly and Pete playfully hit his shoulder.

“Pete… nice to see you. How are you doing?” Vegas’s mom was in the living room, reading a book.

“Good day, khun Arisa. I am doing fine. What about you?” Pete asked with a smile.

“Mom… tell Vegas that you are not going to sell me… tell him that you can afford to have three kids!” Macau whined while still clinging to Pete. Vegas really had to admire Pete’s patience since he didn’t look even a little bit annoyed by having to deal with Macau.

“Of course not, Macau,” Arisa assured his son while putting away the book. “It’s Vegas who is going to be sold off.”

“Mom!” Vegas looked at her in disbelief while Pete had to bite his cheek to not laugh but couldn’t keep from laughing when he saw Macau sticking out his tongue at Vegas. “You can’t sell me… I am your firstborn son…”

“Good day, khun Gun,” Pete noticed Gun entering the room.

“Hello Pete,” Gun smiled at him and went to his wife.

Pete had to smile while watching Gun gently kissing his wife on the cheek before he quietly asked her how she was feeling while sitting down on the armrest of the sofa.

“Dad, if you would have to pick between me or Macau… who would you sell?” Vegas asked his father.

“Both,” Gun said without missing a beat or without looking away from his wife, smiling at her.

“See? I said that…. wait, what?” Vegas smirked at Macau but then he realized what Gun said.

“What? We learned our mistakes while raising you two. We can get rid of both of you and finally do it right,” Gun glanced at Vegas before he looked back at his wife and kissed her forehead.

“Mom…” Vegas looked at her mother.

“Macau, please give Pete some space. He’s not a tree for you to climb all over him like that,” Arisa ignored Vegas when she saw Macau trying to get Pete’s attention by clinging to him like a little koala.

“It’s alright… I don’t mind,” Pete smiled at her before he looked at Macau and ruffled his hair.

“But I do,” Vegas mumbled and grabbed Macau to gently but effectively push him away from Pete before he pulled Pete to him. Vegas was no better than Macau and clung to him maybe even more than his little brother but that was a detail Vegas was willing to ignore.

“But Pete likes me… he said he would keep me if he could… even for free!” Macau, of course, was by Pete’s side the next second and Vegas would really wish for Pete to do anything but wrap his arm around Macau and pull him closer.

“Did he really say that?” Gun looked at Vegas who sighed and nodded a bit, trying to show how much he suffered while hearing Pete saying something like that. “Really?”

Pete had to look away to resist the urge to laugh. “I always wanted a younger brother… or a sister… or whatever” he tried to justify himself when he was sure he'd manage to talk without starting to laugh.

“Really? That’s nice,” Arisa smiled.

“I really like kids. Our neighbors sometimes let me babysit their kids,” Pete said while being gently pushed towards the sofa by Vegas who was trying to make him go sit down. Once Pete was on the sofa Macau of course sat right next to him, as close as possible to him.

“Do you know if it’s going to be a boy or a girl yet, khun Arisa?”

“A boy,” Gun said with a proud smile.

“I hope you’ll stop at three,” Vegas muttered quietly. “I mean… three kids is more than enough, right?” he said when Gun raised his eyebrows while looking at him.

“We can very easily go back to two after the little one is born,” Gun said but Pete could see that he didn’t really mean it.

“Do you want something, Ari? A glass of water or a cup of tea?” Gun didn’t wait for Vegas’s response and turned back to his wife who asked for a cup of tea and Gun smiled at her before he went to get it for her.

“Do you want something as well, Pete?” Vegas looked at Pete.

“I’ll get you a glass of juice!” Macau jumped to his feet and ran out of the room.

“He didn’t even say he wanted that!” Vegas stood up and wanted to follow Macau, hoping he will manage to not kill him when he’ll catch up with him.

“Juice sounds good actually,” Pete caught Vegas’s hand and pulled him on the sofa to stop him from following Macau.

“Stop being so nice to him all the time, Pete. Seriously,” Vegas complained.

“Don’t be like that, Vegas. Macau’s super sweet boy,” Pete rolled his eyes.

“You are probably very good with the kids you babysit, Pete. You seem to have a lot of patience,” Arisa noted and smiled at Pete who shyly shrugged a bit. The kids he babysits never complained about him, actually most of them tries to make Pete stay as long as he can even if the parents are back home and Pete’s babysitting is no longer needed.

Macau came back with a glass of juice and Vegas was sure he was going to strangle him when he was taking a sip of it while bringing it to Pete.

“Are you kidding me?” Vegas asked while looking at his little brother.

“I just wanted to make sure it’s good,” Macau said, sat down next to Pete and handed him the glass.

Pete had, once again, a hard time while trying not to laugh. “Thank you, Macau. I appreciate it,” he giggled and took a sip of the juice. “Very good. Thank you,” he smiled at Macau who smiled happily at hearing that.

Vegas ran his hand over his face, almost regretting that his boyfriend was the cutest, nicest and sweetest boy on the planet. Vegas’s life would be so much easier if Pete had the ability to tell Macau to get lost and stop bothering him.

“Finish you juice, Pete so we can head out,” Vegas mumbled, eager to separate Pete from his little brother already.

“Where are you going?” Macau looked at Pete and before Vegas could stop him Pete told him that they are going to the park to meet with the others.

“Oh, can I come with them, mom. Pleeease!”

“That’s a great idea, Macau,” Gun said while he was entering the room, bringing the tea for his wife.

“But…” Vegas started.

“I have work to do and your mom could use a moment of peace to relax, don’t you think, Vegas?” Gun looked at him while placing the tea on the coffee table in front of his wife.

“Of course!” Pete agreed immediately before Vegas could even say anything.

“Yes!” Macau said, jumped to his feet and ran out of the room to get ready to head out.

Vegas whined and sobbed a bit while resting his head in his hands.

“Thank you, Pete,” Arisa looked at the boy, ignoring Vegas’s distress, just like Gun.

Pete acknowledged Vegas’s distress by patting his shoulder a few times while assuring Arisa that they will look after Macau and that she doesn’t have to worry about a thing.

“Can we trade Vegas for Pete? I even pay Pete’s parents to keep him,” Gun looked at Arisa.

Vegas raised his head to look at his father while Pete giggled while his cheeks were turning pink at hearing that.

Vegas was sure anything he would say would end up being used against him anyway so he chose to remain silent.

*

“Pete… why?” Vegas sighed when they entered his room where Pete followed him because Vegas wanted to get changed into more comfortable clothes.

“Don’t worry. It’ll be fine. I’ve got it,” Pete assured him while taking out his phone and texting Porsche.

“Macau will be there… it’s anything but fine,” Vegas rolled his eyes while taking off his shirt to put on a more comfortable one.

Pete looked up from his phone to reply to Vegas but got a bit distracted by seeing Vegas walking around shirtless.

Vegas, as if being able to sense Pete’s gaze on his, looked at his boyfriend. “Like what you see?” he smirked and Pete quickly looked down at his phone while his cheeks were turning pink.

Vegas smiled at that and walked up to Pete, gently made Pete look up from the phone and look at him.

“You’re cute,” Vegas said while stroking Pete’s cheek before he leaned closer and kissed his way too cute boyfriend, unable to resist doing so. Then he went back to what he was doing and finished getting dressed.

*

Macau was waiting for them at the door, eager to get going already.

“Wait, I need to grab Macau’s leash,” Vegas said when he and Pete were walking up to Macau.

“Vegas! I don’t have a leash!” Macau exclaimed.

“But you are in desperate need of one,” Vegas replied with a shrug.

Macau narrowed his eyes a bit but his smile quickly returned to his face when Pete wrapped his arm around his shoulders and guided him outside while assuring him he most definitely does not need to be on a leash.

Vegas disagreed with Pete on that but decided to not say anything.

*

“You’re on babysitting duty?” Time asked when he saw the trio walking up to them.

“Don’t remind me of that,” Vegas rolled his eyes.

“I was talking to Macau,” Time smirked and pulled Macau in a hug when the boy ran up to him and Tay.

“He’s insufferable, isn’t he?” Tay looked at Macau, glancing at Vegas to make sure who he was talking about.

“You have no idea,” Macau rolled his eyes, in a cute parody of what Vegas did a moment ago.

Tay laughed at seeing that and pulled Macau in a hug when Time let go of him.

Arm and Pol quietly chuckled at seeing Vegas being bullied like that before they each got a hug from Macau as well.

“What are we going to do?” Macau asked, eager to see what they would come up with.

“You… will go over there and stay there,” Vegas pointed at the small playground that was in the park.

“But…” Macau didn’t like the sound of that at all.

“Macau…”

“Porsche! Chay!” Pete interrupted Vegas and waved at the two.

Chay was walking behind Porsche, since there were some new people so he was feeling a bit shy.

Macau perked up when he saw Chay and kept curiously looking at him, happy to see another person similar to his own age, hoping that he might have a playmate there after all.

“Did we miss the memo? Should we all bring kids with us?” Time asked half confused, half jokingly while looking at Chay who hid more behind Porsche.

“Ignore him, he’s an idiot. Hello I am Tay,” Tay smiled at Chay who peeked from behind Porsche and smiled a bit as well.

“This is Chay,” Porsche moved aside and placed his hand on Chay’s shoulder to prevent him from hiding behind him.

“Hi. I am Time… and yeah I am an idiot. I was just joking,” Time said, hoping friendly enough.

“Hello, come here! I missed you,” Pete walked up to Chay and hugged him and Chay immediately warped his arms around Pete.

Pete was a single child so he resolved to thievery and kind of adopted Chay as his little brother. Luckily Porsche had no issue to share.

“You don’t have to worry, Chay. Time and Tay are our friends, ok?” Pete was saying quietly for only Chay to hear it and Chay nodded a bit before he pulled back.

“Hi! I am Macau!” Chay jumped up a bit when Macau suddenly appeared next to him with a big friendly smile on his face.

“Hi… I am Chay,” Chay greeted him back.

“Do you want to go play together?” Pete looked at Chay and showed him the playground with some swings and other things the boys could use to keep themselves busy.

Chay nodded a bit and Macau smiled even more before he took Chay’s hand and ran towards the playground.

“Poor Chay,” Vegas muttered while seeing it.

“Is that why you wanted me to bring Chay with me?” Porsche looked at Pete.

“I just wanted Macau to have someone he can play with here,” Pete shrugged a bit.

“Thank you, Pete! you’re the best,” Vegas pulled him closer so he could kiss him.

“Hey… finally. Where is your little brother?” Tay asked Kinn who finally arrived as well.

“Hm? What?” Kinn frowned in confusion while wrapping his arm around Porsche’s waist and pulling him closer.

“We have two little brothers already… your is the only one missing here,” Time gestured to the playground where Macan and Chay were climbing on the jungle gym.

“Kim willingly coming here with me? Good joke,” Kinn laughed a bit when he pictured Kim being here with them.

“I hope we’ll get to take the baby with us here as well from time to time,” Pete looked at Vegas.

“Baby? Did you forget to take your pills?” Arm looked at Pete who rolled his eyes but had to laugh along with the others.

“So what baby then?” Tay wanted to know.

“Macau 2.0 is on its way,” Vegas said.

“Really?” Kinn looked at his cousin and Vegas nodded to confirm it. “Congrats?” Kinn said, not sure if that’s the right response.

“To what? Having to deal with a double dose of that,” Vegas gestured to the playground where Macau was balancing on the jungle gym, most likely showing off in front of his new friend to make sure Chay would want to be friends with him.

“Vegas,” Pete frowned at him.

“Angel, I know you think Macau is not a pain in the ass but trust me… he is… You would think that as well if you would live under the same roof as him,” Vegas looked at his boyfriend.

“I think Macau’s great, Vegas,” Tay said and Pete and the others nodded in agreement.

“Of course you do. Like I said, you don’t live with him,” Vegas said. “Anyway… can we move on to some other topic that’s not my little brother?” he added when he could see he was not convincing anyone.

The others agreed and started to talk about other stuff.

“Vegas, give me the water. I’ll take it to Macau and Chay. They should drink something,” Pete said when he realized it’s been a while since the boys started to play so they should have something to drink.

“You will come back, ok?” Vegas told Pete while taking out of the bottle he had in his backpack.

“Of course,” Pete nodded a bit confused why Vegas had to tell him that.

“Pete… I mean it. I will go there and drag you back if I’ll have to,” Vegas pulled the bottle back out of Pete’s reach.

Pete chuckled and rolled his eyes while reaching for the bottle to take it from him.

*

“I will be the best big brother ever. Just like Vegas is!” The boys were sitting in the sand box, talking while building sand castles. Neither of them saw Pete coming towards them.

Pete had to smile upon hearing that.

“I wish it wouldn’t take that long for the baby to be here…” Macau muttered unhappily and when Pete chuckled quietly, Macau and Chay looked up at him.

“Pete!” Macau jumped to his feet and went to hug him.

“Hi… wow, it looks great!” Pete said while going to take a look at the things the boys were creating from the sand. It looked like they were trying to build the whole kingdom.

“Come, we’ll show you our kingdom,” Macau took Pete’s hand and pulled him towards the sand box and made him sit down on the wooden edge of it.

“Alright, but first, here, you have to drink something,” Pete handed the two the water bottle. “Keep it here and make sure to drink a lot so you’ll not have a headache later, ok?” Pete told them when they wanted to give him the bottle back after they drank a bit of it.

“Ok… and now tell me what is going on here,” Pete asked, eager to find out what the boys were building there.

Macau and Chay began to tell him the lore of their kingdom and Pete was paying attention to everything they were saying.

*

“I… knew this would happen,” Vegas muttered while he was watching that.

“Guys… guys…” Time said while looking in the opposite direction from the playground where something caught his attention. “Would you look at that…” he smirked while watching Kim and Big entering the park.

Kim was talking about something to Big and they seemed to be fully engaged in their conversation up until Kim looked around, as if being able to feel someone watching them. He quickly found Kinn and the others sitting at one of the benches, looking at them.

“Not going to say hi, Kimmy?” Time called out to him with a teasing smirk on his face that grew wider when he Kim narrowed his eyes upon hearing the stupid nickname.

Kim turned back to Big and Kinn was sure he told his friend to just ignore the group and go somewhere else.

“Come on, Kim… this park is big enough for all of us,” Kinn told his little brother.

“Who says we want to be here?!” Kim crossed his arms over his chest.

“Is there a better place where you can take your boyfriend on a romantic date?” Time chuckled and Kim just rolled his eyes before he looked at Big and they both turned around and left.

“Are they together or not, Kinn?” Tay looked at his friend who should know this but Kinn just shrugged.

“Ok, that’s enough,” Vegas said, stood up and went to the sandbox to get his boyfriend back. Pete yelped in surprise when Vegas suddenly showed up next to him and effortlessly lifted him up to carry him back to the group.

“I told you you will come back here,” Vegas said while Pete was trying to protest which was quite difficult since he couldn’t stop laughing. “If I knew you would get stuck there I would not let you go anywhere near Macau,” he added while placing Pete back down.

“Do you know what he was saying while I was going to them?” Pete asked.

“I am sure it was something very memorable,” Vegas muttered while sitting down in the grass and pulling Pete down to make him sit down next to him.

“He said he’s going to be the best big brother ever… just like you,” Pete looked at Vegas who was really trying not to smile upon hearing that.

“Aww…” Tay smiled and Vegas was no longer able to resist smiling as well.

When Macau and Chay finished their kingdom made out of castle Macau ran up to the group to tell them to come take a look. Vegas just groaned quietly when literally none of his friends even tried to protest and just jumped to their feet to go take a look at what the boy created.

"Wow... it looks dope!" Time nodded while looking at it and Tay complimented the creation as well which made Chay smile at them, feeling that Pete was right when he was assuring him that he doesn't need to be nervous around the two.

"Yes, it looks great but I think we should head back home now. It's getting late," Vegas said when he checked the time and saw it was close to dinner time.

"Yeah... ok, Chay say bye and let's roll," Porsche agreed with Vegas.

"Do we have to go?" Chay asked quietly and quite unhappily and glanced at Macau who was really fun to be around.

"We could just stay here a bit longer," Macau tried to sway his brother into staying in the park a bit longer.

"You can play together again soon, don't worry," Pete told the boys who looked unsure about it, not sure if this wasn't the last time they happened to see each other but when Vegas and Porsche assured the two that there is no reason for them to not see each other again the boys reluctantly agreed to go home with their older brothers.
