Chapter Text
The world is spinning, can you imagine how that feels? There is some sticky residue on me, I don’t know what it is, I don’t think I want to know. There is a sharp pain in my chest and it feels like the world is ending. And just like that the forest that was surrounding me suddenly turned black, like a dark void that can never be filled a void devoid of hope and happiness.
I quickly opened my eyes and to my shock, it was pitch black, had I been kidnapped and locked into a pitch-black room? No, wouldn't I be tied up with a gag in my mouth? I wasn’t tied up and I was left almost completely unharmed. And I could see my body as if I was in the sunlight of the forest I was in not even a minute ago. I took a curious look at my chest and saw 3 bloodied areas on my shirt. My previously White top was now splattered with blood, a sickening sight if I saw it on another person and terrifying to see it on me.
I was shocked when did I get injured? Was I stabbed? Shot? No, if that was what happened then I’d be dead and not be up walking around as if I was just walking through the halls of my home. I looked around, My hair swishing when my head would turn the other way, my dyed Purple and blue hair had White streaks now. Someone must have bleached my hair without my permission, right? There's no way that it could've happened any other way, though it doesn’t make sense. I decided to walk around looking for the walls of this place. But no matter how far I would walk forward I would never reach the wall. It’s like this place is an infinite realm of darkness, When I walked for what felt like 3 years I stopped to catch my breath. How long had I been here? 20, 30 minutes? Eventually, I saw a girl in the distance with a huge scar on the right side of her body, She had long brown hair, and pale skin almost as if she was a vampire and she was wearing a school uniform, she looked quite a bit older than me she’s probably a middle schooler.
I came up to her about to ask who she was and where we were, and then we locked eyes, My eyes which were a dark purple and the other eye which was my left eye a diluted pink which was hidden by my hair met her eyes which were a fiery gold and even though the left half of her face was covered in a huge scar almost as if she had been hit by a car, her eyes weren’t anything like how I imagined a probably blind person’s would look, they look almost angelic. Definitely nothing like how I thought.
“Hello?... uh do you know where we are?” I asked the girl.
She just turned her head towards me but didn’t answer me.
“What did you say?” she asked me.
“Do you know where we are?” I asked again but she just looked at me very confused, for some reason I couldn't understand what she was saying, maybe because she was speaking a different language that I’d barely heard before.
“Are you… speaking Japanese?” She said in another language
“Yes…” I told her.
“My mother tongue is Japanese I can understand you.” She said in Japanese
“Can you… answer my question?” I asked her.
“I do not know where we are. I assume since you asked me you don’t either,” she said.
“No, I do not… My name is Gyarakushī Hoshiko.” I told her
“Nice to meet you Galaxy, my name is Arianna Imp, you can call me Ari,” Ari told me
“Ari Impu? That's a nice name” I was glad we both knew Japanese.
“Why don’t we both find out where we are?” Ari asked me.
“Hmmm, that’s a good idea!” I told her enthusiastically. “What happened before you got here?”
“I got hit by a car while I was walking to school. I’m twelve years old.” She told me.
“I was playing in the forest and then my memory goes blank about what happened next except everything getting very blurry and spinny,” I told her
“Blurry and Spinny? Maybe somebody knocked you out? But I would've probably been in a hospital or dead by now if that was the case but I feel and look fine.” Ari surmises.
“You look like you got hit by a car… like the whole right half of your face looks like a huge scar… unless that is normal?” I said unsure of myself.
“What? I… that's not normal… well. You look significantly younger than me, how old are you?” Ari asked likely trying to figure out what could've happened with me.
“I am Eight years old… my parents home-school me because they are famous and are scared I’d get hurt. I live in Yokohama.” I told her.
“You’re Eight and live in Yokohama? I live in Kyoto, so we both live in Japan just in very different cities.” Ari said
“Yes… are we dead?” I asked her
“No! At least… I don’t think so. Let's stay positive.” she glances at our environment and surroundings there's a light in the distance. “What’s that? Maybe it's a way out!” Ari grasps my hand lightly and brings me with her to the light. Unsure of what it was my new friend and I went towards the bright sunlight.
Right before we went into the light I realized my life was suddenly flashing before my eyes, what if I was really dead? I'm not ready to die yet my life has yet to begin. I'm just a kid, is what my parents did so bad that someone would target me? No, No, No, This isn't how my life ends not like this, whatever Momma and Dadda did wasn't bad enough for someone to want me dead… I want to go back to playing with Mellisa I miss her.
