Chapter Text

It’s the first day of the semester, and the students are gathered in the school’s auditorium for the opening ceremony. Clover was seated just in the middle, alongside her classmates, as they waited for the head of the university to finish his speech. This is one of the things that she doesn’t look forward to, as it bores her out of her mind. The head likes to talk about random things, and it goes on for so long.

Can’t he just finish up? God.

Clover let her eyes wander around; she saw unfamiliar faces, probably freshman, as well as familiar ones that she had probably passed by in the hallways or somewhere on their campus. There wasn’t really anything new, except for the new courses she has to take in her third year. It’s not like she has a choice either but to take them.

As she continues to tune out whoever’s talking on stage and let her vision be filled with the things around her, she doesn’t notice how the head has finished up talking and there is a different person standing in front of them.

Not until she heard a familiar voice.

“Good morning, my fellow students, professors, and the whole body of our university. Once again, we are about to enter a new chapter in our lives as we face this semester head-on. First of all, I would like to thank you all for entrusting me and believing in me once again as the president of our Student Government…”

Clover had now focused all her attention on the person talking upfront. She knows this person so well, and so does everybody else.

It was Agatha.

Agatha Callie Alcantara, President of the Student Government.

Everybody knows her.

Who wouldn’t?

Agatha, aside from being the SG president, had always been popular because of her looks and academic standing. She greets everybody with a smile, no matter if she knows the person or not; even if you approach her randomly, she wouldn’t turn you down and would gladly entertain you. Despite her busy schedule, Agatha was still present in everything and couldn’t be seen without a smile on her face.

Due to her popularity, it didn’t come as a surprise when people flocked to Agatha’s feet. Suitors from left and right would come to Agatha’s aid whenever she asked for help with their projects. Clover always sees the SG president with flowers or chocolates in hand whenever they're passing each other in the hallways. Everybody either has a crush on Agatha or idolizes the girl.

Clover was one of them.

In her defense, Agatha is truly everyone’s dream girl. Who could blame her little gay heart for crushing over someone like Agatha?

As Clover continued to watch the SG president give her speech, she noticed how the girl was seemingly scanning the crowd, looking for someone.

And she was right. As soon as their eyes met, Agatha’s whole posture seemed to have relaxed.

Agatha was looking for Clover.

The girl was probably nervous and was in desperate need of some comfort.

“If you get really nervous while giving your speech, look for me. I’ll be watching you with the proudest smile on my face. Just tune everybody out; pretend like it’s just us two. I know you’ll do great, Agatha.”

That’s what she told the girl when Agatha expressed her worries in front of her.

She knew Agatha on a much deeper level.

Nobody knows the girl like she does.

And it’s a secret that Clover would take to her grave.
