“What’s this?”
Mina’s smiling as she sets a few bottles on their coffee table that sits in the middle of the living room. Katsuki looks over the array of different products. There’s different creams and toners, even some bottles that he has no idea what their purpose is. He crosses his arms, still waiting for an answer.
“Self care products!” Mina exclaims excitedly. She grabs a weird oversized hair tie looking thing into his hands. He looks at it, pure confusion painted on his face. He looks over to Mina with furrowed brows which makes her roll her eyes, “It’s a headband. You put it on like this.”
She grabs one that was sitting on the table, then puts it on. Her hair now pulled back, forehead showing. Katsuki raises an eyebrow which makes her groan.
“Just put it on!” She grabs the headband attempting to put it on his head. Katsuki tries to push her off, but he realizes just how persistent Mina really is. He gives in, scowling at her but it doesn’t look as intimidating when he’s wearing a bright pink headband with polka dots all over it. Mina celebrates her victory by sticking her tongue out at him.
“Don’t pout,” She sits by the coffee table starting to look over the products, “Now, I know your skin’s perfect, but entertain this for me. So,” she claps her hands together, then grabs a bottle that says ‘face wash for combination skin’, “go wash your face, then come back and the real fun begins!”
Katsuki hesitantly grabs the bottle. He looks over the bottle again when he looks back up, Mina’s watching him like a hawk. He slumps slightly, “Why couldn’t you get dumb and dumber to join you?”
Mina sighs dramatically, “Trust me I tried, but they gave me dumb excuses.” She grumbles, crossing her arms.
“Eijirou?”
“Working.”
Katsuki throws his head back, feeling defeated, “Fine.” He goes down the hall towards the bathroom, “Just this once.” He can hear Mina squeal in excitement.
He washes his face, assuming it’s good enough for whatever they’re about to do. Drying his face off, he walks back towards the living room, Mina starting to put a random cream on her face. He sits on the opposite side of the table, confused again.
“I washed my face. Now what?”
Mina stops what she’s doing, looking at him. She looks towards the different products, then hands him a bottle that says ‘jelly face mask’ on it, “Here,” She then hands him a weird spatula looking thing, “Use this to put this on.”
She goes back to putting on her own face mask, focused on where she spreads the cream on her face. Katsuki follows suit albeit struggling. He squeezes the bottle over the spatula, careful not to spill it. He starts to spread it on his cheek, feeling the cool gel-like substance hitting his skin. Mina gasps, stopping him immediately,
“No!” She scoots towards him, snatching the spatula out of his hand, “It’s not supposed to be so thick, you have to do– ugh, just let me do it.”
She focuses on spreading the gel on his face. Katsuki doesn’t know how to feel with how close she is. It’s not exactly uncomfortable, more like… awkward. Mina leans back, studying his face for a moment then smiles,
“Done!”
Katsuki grunts, his face cold and uncomfortable, “Okay, now what?”
Mina goes back to where she was originally sitting, “Keep it on for about twenty minutes.” She says simply. Katsuki’s jaw nearly drops,
“What am I supposed to do while I wait?”
Mina waits for a moment, finishing with applying her own face masks, “I don’t know, just make sure you don’t mess it up,” then she smiles, mischief covered in it, “I can paint your nails or even your toe nails.” She starts to giggle at Katsuki’s disgusted face.
“I guess you can paint my nails…” He switches from a criss-crossed position to sitting on his legs, “but you’re not painting my toenails.” He snaps pointing an accusing finger towards her. Mina jumps up squealing,
“Yes!”
Mina runs to her room, Katsuki watching wondering what the fuck he got himself into. He didn’t expect this to be so… complicated. Why did the idiots have to be busy?
Her door swings open again. He notices a small container that he assumes is from a drawer in her hands. She sits back in her spot, starting to pick through the different colors. She would occasionally hold different colors against his hand, shaking her head as she would put the small bottle back in the container. Katsuki watches her for a moment before speaking up,
“Are you going to let me pick? Since, you know, it’s my hand?” He asks. Mina stops, looking up at him. She smiles sheepishly,
“Sorry,” She motions to the container, “Take your pick!”
Katsuki looks through the different colors, each a different shade of the same color. Why does she need this many colors? Let alone different shades? He grabs a denim blue, handing it to her. She inspects the bottle then sighs,
“What’s with boys and the color blue?” She starts to shake the bottle shaking her head. She stops then, giving Katsuki a knowing look, “This looks oddly close to the color of Shouto’s hero costume,” She comments. Katsuki tries to hide the heat starting to rise on his cheeks,
“Can I take this goop off now?” He asks, completely changing the subject. Mina giggles,
“Kats, you’re absolutely whipped for that boy.” She teases. Katsuki stands up, stomping towards the bathroom hearing Mina’s full on laughter now. He ignores her as he’s grumbling to himself.
He washes the disgusting gel off his face, drying off his face. When he looks into the mirror he notices that his skin looks brighter, maybe even softer, but that may be pushing it. He keeps the stupid headband on just in case Mina makes him use even more products on his face. When he gets back to the living room, Mina’s laughter has died down thank god. He sits back down, Mina roughly grabbing his hand to get to work.
“Is there anything else that’s part of this ‘self care’ stuff?” Mina scoffs,
“Of course there is!” She dips the brush back in the bottle, starting to work, “You wouldn’t know since you’re a boy and have perfect skin.”
Katsuki smirks, “Thanks to my old hags quirk, that’s it.” Mina rolls her eyes,
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

Shouto walks up to the door of Katsuki and Mina’s house, unlocking the door. He knows Katsuki’s off and while he wasn’t, he was still excited to see his boyfriend after a long day. He takes his shoes off replacing them with the slippers that Mina proudly gifted him one day, not too long after she figured out he and Katsuki started dating. He doesn’t realize the other two people in the room, too deep in his own thoughts until he looks up. He’s met with an… interesting sight.
Katsuki’s sitting on the couch, with his usual scowl on his face. He has a headband on and a strip of something on his nose. What the hell is going on here?
When he passes the couch, he then sees Mina who’s sitting on the floor bent over Katsuki’s leg painting his toenails? Shouto looks at Katsuki confused because what? Katsuki sighs in defeat,
“Mina made me do ‘self care’ since the idiots were busy.” He announces. Shouto looks at Mina who’s clearly too wrapped up in painting Katsuki’s toes, she didn’t even notice him enter. He rolls his eyes and Katsuki sighs again,
“I told her ‘no’ on my toenails, but,” he motions to Mina, “ someone doesn’t know when to quit.”
Shouto smiles with a mischievous glint to it as he grabs his phone. Katsuki’s eyes widen then gives him the finger in his direction as he snaps a picture. He should know he’s never going to stop with the pictures. He then gets close to Mina who jumps,
“Shouto!” She looks at Katsuki’s foot in horror, realizing he got the paint on his foot. She looks at Shouto, “I didn’t know you were coming over.” Both Shouto and Mina ignore Katsuki’s complaining, Shouto asking how they got in this position. Mina’s lips spread into a smile when he asks,
“Can I join next time?”
