The soft beep of the alarm clock stirred Shotaro from his sleep. He stretched slightly, blinking at the early morning light filtering through the curtains. Beside him, Sungchan remained blissfully asleep, completely undisturbed by the sound. Shotaro chuckled softly. Ever since they had started sharing a room, he had grown accustomed to Sungchan’s heavy sleeping habits.
Shotaro turned on his side, propping himself up on one elbow as he gazed at his sleeping boyfriend. Sungchan’s face was serene, his lips slightly parted. Shotaro felt a surge of affection and couldn’t resist leaning in to plant a gentle kiss on Sungchan’s forehead. When Sungchan didn’t stir, he continued his gentle assault, peppering Sungchan’s face with soft kisses.
“Mmm... hyung...” Sungchan mumbled, slowly waking up.
Shotaro smiled, his lips hovering over Sungchan’s. “Good morning, baby. Time to get up.”
Sungchan’s eyes fluttered open, meeting Shotaro’s loving gaze. “Good morning, hyung,” he murmured, his voice thick with sleep. He wrapped his arms around Shotaro’s waist, pulling him closer. “Five more minutes?”
Shotaro laughed softly, brushing a stray lock of hair from Sungchan’s forehead. “We’ve got a fan sign event today, remember? We need to get ready.”
Sungchan groaned but didn’t release his hold. “But it’s so early, and you’re so comfy.”
Shotaro kissed the tip of Sungchan’s nose. “I know, but our fans are waiting for us. Besides, I get to see you in action. It’s always a good day when I get to watch you.”
Sungchan’s cheeks flushed slightly, a shy smile tugging at his lips. “You’re just saying that.”
“Nope,” Shotaro replied, pressing a kiss to Sungchan’s cheek. “I mean every word. Now come on, baby. Let’s get up and start the day.”
With a final sigh, Sungchan loosened his grip and sat up, stretching his arms above his head. “Fine, fine. But only because you asked so nicely.”
Shotaro grinned, hopping out of bed and pulling Sungchan along with him. “That’s my baby.”
As they moved around the room, getting dressed and ready for the day, Shotaro couldn’t help but feel a swell of happiness. Being with Sungchan, sharing these quiet moments before the chaos of their schedules, made everything worthwhile. He watched as Sungchan pulled on his shirt, his movements still slow and sleepy.
“You know, baby,” Shotaro said, coming up behind Sungchan and wrapping his arms around his waist. “You’re the cutest when you’re just waking up.”
Sungchan turned in Shotaro’s embrace, his eyes twinkling. “And you’re the sweetest for waking me up like that, hyung.”
Shotaro leaned in for a tender kiss, their lips meeting in a soft, loving caress. “I’ll always be here to wake you up, no matter how early it is.”
Sungchan rested his forehead against Shotaro’s, a contented sigh escaping his lips. “I love you, hyung.”
“I love you too, baby,” Shotaro whispered back, feeling his heart swell with emotion. He knew that no matter what the day brought, as long as he had Sungchan by his side, everything would be perfect.
After finishing their preparations for the fan sign, the members gathered in the van to head to the venue. Shotaro and Sungchan settled into their seats, with Shotaro gently patting the space beside him.
“You can still take a nap while we travel, baby,” Shotaro said softly.
Sungchan nodded, his eyes already drooping with sleepiness. He nestled close to Shotaro, resting his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder. Shotaro wrapped an arm around him, holding him close as Sungchan quickly drifted off.
As the van rolled down the streets of Seoul, Shotaro glanced around at the other members. Eunseok was scrolling through his phone, Wonbin was humming a tune softly, and Sohee and Seunghan were engaged in a quiet conversation. Anton, sitting nearby, smiled at the sight of the two.
“You two look cozy back there,” Anton teased, glancing over his shoulder.
Shotaro chuckled softly, not wanting to disturb Sungchan. “Just making sure he gets enough rest before the fan meet.”
“So considerate, hyung,” Sohee remarked with a grin. “Sungchan’s lucky to have you.”
“Yeah, hate to admit, but it’s adorable,” Wonbin added, turning in his seat to get a better look. “You should take a picture, Eunseok hyung. It’s a moment to remember.”
Eunseok laughed, raising his phone as if to snap a photo. “I would, but I don’t want to wake him up. Maybe later.”
Seunghan leaned forward, a mischievous glint in his eye. “Hyung, you’re going to spoil him if you keep this up.”
Shotaro smiled, tightening his embrace around Sungchan. “He deserves it.”
As they continued their journey to the venue, the van filled with light-hearted banter and laughter. Shotaro felt a deep sense of gratitude for these precious moments of peace and love, surrounded by his friends and knowing that no matter how busy their lives became, they would always have each other.
Sungchan murmured in his sleep, shifting slightly but keeping his hold on Shotaro. Shotaro pressed a soft kiss to the top of Sungchan’s head, his heart swelling with affection. Even in the midst of their hectic schedules, these small moments of closeness made everything worthwhile.
“Hey, you two better not fall asleep back there,” Seunghan joked, causing the others to laugh.
Shotaro chuckled, glancing down at his sleeping boyfriend. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we’re both ready for the fan sign.”
The van continued its smooth ride toward the venue, and Shotaro felt a contented sigh escape his lips. As long as he had Sungchan by his side and the support of their group, he knew they could face anything that came their way.
The fan sign was brimming with energy. Fans filled the venue, eagerly awaiting their turn to meet the boys. Shotaro and Sungchan exchanged a loving glance and an affectionate tap before heading to their designated seats. Shotaro gave Sungchan an encouraging smile as he walked to his seat next to Wonbin.
Throughout the fan sign, the boys were in high spirits, interacting with fans and sharing laughter. The support from their fans was overwhelming, creating a joyous atmosphere. However, since it was a fan sign, fans often requested fanservice moments from the boys.
Sitting next to Wonbin, Shotaro found himself frequently asked to do small hearts and even big hearts with him. At first, Sungchan wasn't bothered; fanservice was part of their routine. But then, a fan from the crowd shouted, "Wonbin and Shotaro look so good together!"
A pang of jealousy hit Sungchan, though he tried not to let it show. He knew it was all in good fun, but the comment struck a nerve. He believed Shotaro was more compatible with him (hell, yeah), but with their relationship kept under wraps for professional reasons, fans still speculated about other pairings.
Sungchan kept his composure, smiling and interacting with fans as if nothing was wrong. He didn't want to dampen the mood or make anyone suspicious. He was determined to make it a memorable time for their supporters.
As the event continued, Sungchan occasionally glanced at Shotaro, who seemed to be enjoying himself. Every so often, Shotaro would catch Sungchan's eye and give him a reassuring smile, and Sungchan will exchange it with a small smile.
After the fan sign event, the boys bid their fans goodbye, waving and smiling until they disappeared backstage. As they moved out of the public eye, Sungchan felt the weight of his earlier jealousy settle over him. Despite the cheerful exterior he maintained during the event, he couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling.
Shotaro, ever perceptive, noticed the change in his boyfriend’s demeanor. He made his way over to Sungchan, chatting animatedly about the fan sign. “Wasn’t that fun, Channie? The fans were amazing today!”
Sungchan nodded and agreed half-heartedly, his mind still lingering on the fan's comment about Shotaro and Wonbin. His responses were mechanical, lacking the usual enthusiasm that Shotaro loved.
Shotaro frowned, sensing something was off. “Hey, what’s wrong? You’ve been quiet since we finished.”
Sungchan hesitated, not wanting to burden Shotaro with his feelings. “It’s nothing, hyung, really. Just tired, I guess.”
Shotaro wasn’t convinced. He gently cupped Sungchan’s face, looking into his eyes. “I know you better than that. Come on, tell me what’s bothering you, hmm?.”
Sungchan sighed, knowing he couldn’t hide his feelings from Shotaro. “It’s silly, really. Just something a fan said during the fan sign.”
Shotaro raised an eyebrow. “Oh? What did they say?”
Sungchan looked away, feeling a bit embarrassed. “They said you and Wonbin looked good together. It just... it got to me.”
A playful smirk appeared on Shotaro’s face. “Wait, baby, are you jealous?"
Sungchan glared at him, cheeks flushing. “No, I'm not.”
Shotaro couldn’t resist teasing his boyfriend. “Aww, my baby is jealous. That’s so cute!”
Sungchan’s glare intensified. “Stop it, hyung.”
Shotaro chuckled, wrapping an arm around Sungchan’s shoulders. “You know you’re the only one for me. Fans can say whatever they want, but it doesn’t change how I feel about you.”
Despite the reassurance, Shotaro’s teasing didn’t let up. “I mean, Wonbin is great, but no one compares to my Sungchan.”
Sungchan huffed, crossing his arms. “You’re impossible.”
On the ride home, Sungchan resolutely refused to sit by Shotaro’s side, opting for a seat further away. Shotaro, undeterred, continued to tease him with affectionate glances and whispered comments that only Sungchan could hear.
Once they reached their dorm, Sungchan made his way to their shared room without looking back at Shotaro. Shotaro couldn't help but think how adorable his boyfriend was when he was jealous. He followed Sungchan, quietly watching as he rummaged through the closet for a shirt to wear before his shower.
Shotaro found Sungchan rummaging through the closet, searching for a shirt to wear before his shower. With a mischievous glint in his eye, Shotaro silently approached and wrapped his arms around Sungchan’s waist from behind, pulling him into a warm back hug.
“Hey, baby,” Shotaro whispered, resting his chin on Sungchan’s shoulder. “You’re so cute when you’re jealous.”
Sungchan huffed, trying to maintain his annoyed demeanor. “Hyung, you’re not helping.”
Shotaro chuckled, pressing a kiss to the side of Sungchan’s neck. “I can’t help it. You’re too cute to resist.”
Sungchan tried to pull away, but Shotaro’s embrace was firm yet gentle. “Hyung, let go. I need to shower.”
“Not until you talk to me,” Shotaro insisted, nuzzling into Sungchan’s neck. “What’s really bothering you?”
Sungchan sighed, giving in slightly but still trying to keep his distance. “I told you already. It’s just... what the fans said. It got to me.”
Shotaro tightened his hold, speaking softly. “Baby, you know they don’t mean anything by it. Fans say all kinds of things, but it doesn’t change how I feel about you.”
Sungchan softened a little, but still kept his voice steady. “I know, but it’s hard sometimes. Hearing them say you look good with someone else... it makes me feel insecure.”
Shotaro gently turned Sungchan around to face him, looking into his eyes. “Sungchan, you have nothing to worry about. You’re the only one I love. No one else comes close.”
Sungchan tried to look away, but Shotaro’s gaze held him. “I just... I hate feeling this way.”
Shotaro cupped Sungchan’s face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing his cheeks. “I love you, baby. Only you. You’re my everything.”
Sungchan’s resolve finally crumbled, and he leaned into Shotaro’s touch. “I love you too, hyung. I’m sorry for feeling this way.”
Shotaro smiled, pressing a tender kiss to Sungchan’s forehead. “Don’t apologize. I understand. And I’ll always be here to remind you how much you mean to me.”
Sungchan sighed contentedly, wrapping his arms around Shotaro’s waist. “Thank you, hyung. You always know how to make me feel better.”
Shotaro grinned, leaning in to kiss Sungchan’s lips. “That’s my job. Now, how about we take that shower together?”
Sungchan blushed but nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. “Okay, hyung. But only if you promise to stop teasing me.”
Shotaro laughed softly, guiding Sungchan towards the bathroom. “I’ll try, but no promises. You’re just too fun to tease, baby.”
After their shared shower, which was filled with playful splashes and lingering touches, they dried off and dressed in comfortable clothes. Sungchan hesitated for a moment before looking up at Shotaro with shy eyes. Shotaro, sensing his boyfriend's need for comfort, pulled him into his arms. “Come here, baby,” he said softly.
They moved to their bed, and Shotaro embraced Sungchan, who nestled against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his boyfriend’s heartbeat. Shotaro gently stroked his hair, his touch soothing and affectionate.
"You know, I love holding you like this,” Shotaro murmured, his voice filled with tenderness.
Sungchan sighed contentedly, feeling safe and loved in Shotaro’s embrace. “It’s my favorite place to be, hyung.”
Shotaro chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to the top of Sungchan’s head. “You’re my favorite person, baby.”
Sungchan looked up, meeting Shotaro’s gaze. “Even when I’m being difficult?”
“Especially when you’re being difficult,” Shotaro teased gently, a playful glint in his eyes. “It shows me how much you care.”
Sungchan’s lips curved into a small smile. “I just... I get scared sometimes. But you always make me feel better.”
Shotaro’s expression softened, his fingers tracing patterns on Sungchan’s back. “I’ll always be here to make you feel better, baby. That’s a promise.”
Sungchan nuzzled closer, his voice barely a whisper. “I’m so lucky to have you, hyung.”
“We’re both lucky,” Shotaro replied, tightening his embrace. “And no matter what, we’ll always have each other.”
They lay there in each other’s arms, exchanging sweet words and soft kisses. Shotaro’s gentle reassurances slowly eased all of Sungchan’s insecurities, replacing them with warmth and love.
“You know, baby,” Shotaro said after a while, his voice soft and thoughtful, “every moment with you is precious to me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
Sungchan’s eyes filled with tears of happiness. “You always know just what to say, hyung. I love you so much.”
"I love you too, baby,” Shotaro whispered back, pressing a tender kiss to Sungchan’s lips. “Now, let’s get some rest. We’ve got another busy day tomorrow.”
As they continued to cuddle, the room filled with a comfortable silence, broken only by their quiet breaths and the occasional murmur of affection. Eventually, the day’s events caught up with them, and they fell asleep in each other’s embrace, their hearts beating in perfect sync.
In that moment, all was right in their world. No matter what challenges they faced, they knew they had each other, and that was more than enough.
