It was about 11:00 at night, and Kick was already nestled in his bed; still dressed in his helmet and jumpsuit outfit, for he became too tired to put on PJs. The moon shone brightly through his bedroom window, casting rays of dim light in the room. It was quiet, a little too quiet.
The stairs softly creaked as someone, or something began to walk up the stairs, quietly without making a sound. "Little child, you may run, but you cannot hide.” A deep growling voice spoke, it chuckled in it's throat as the monster went up the steps, the creature's eyes glowing an ominous red.
It slowly walked through the hallway, sniffing the air, quickly recognizing his soon-to-be victim's scent. It reached out with a large clawed hand and slowly opened a door and headed inside. The door was shut with a loud click.
The one he eyed in the bed before him was none other than Kick Buttowski, who due to the sound of the door shutting, sleepily began waking up. His eyes at half-mast.
The beast drew nearer and nearer to the bed, "There you are. Look at this little sleeping beauty.." As the beast was near the boy, it roared at the top of his lungs: "WAKEY WAKEY, CLARENCE!!"
This woke him immediately. Kick's eyes shot open and the expression he had at first was an annoyed glare, "Brad, don't even think about-!" At that moment, he realized that his older brother hardly ever called him by his real name.
It wasn’t Brad.
His angry expression quickly turned into a look of horror as the beast opened it's mouth, which was filled with 30 long razor sharp teeth. Kick screamed in terror as the monster lunged for him with a blood-curdling roar.
Kick awoke screaming in the night, drenched in sweat. Breathing heavily and looking himself over, his now wrapped-up wound still hurt from before. He took a moment to glance at the room around him. It was just a dream, or in this case, a freaky nightmare.
Kick slowly rose out of bed, glancing over at his pet goldfish once. He opened the door to his room and glanced down the hall; no sign of the creature. Closing the door, he decided to take a look out his bedroom window; nothing out of the ordinary, just a pretty nice view of the neighborhood of Mellowbrook outside, the stars shining in the night sky, and the moon..
He glanced up just to see some clouds which had been backlit by the moonlight float away, revealing the glowing full moon in the night sky. "The moon sure is pretty tonight." he said to himself, he was about to get back to bed, when he saw something strange happen.
His wound began to glow.
Kick's bite wound started glowing an ominous red color before his eyes, which widened in shock. "W-what the-?!" he yelped, quickly starting to unwrap his bandages. As soon as they were off, he felt strange.
Painfully strange.
Kick looked down at his gloved hands, noticing they were beginning to twitch. In a flash of pain, claws grew out from the ends of his fingers. Kick tried not to scream, for he knew it would wake his parents. However, things only got worse from there. Kick fell to his knees, hugging himself and yelping as the pain in his body increased. He had begun transforming.
The fingers of his gloves were torn when the claws grew in, his boots soon followed as his feet became wolf-like, claws and all. His teeth became razor sharp, his canines in particular grew a little longer, giving him the fangs of a vicious carnivore. Parts of his jumpsuit were torn as he grew a few inches taller.
This would have been cool if it weren't so painful.
As he was transforming, he suddenly gained a craving for meat, then he felt an urge to.. Kick threw back his head and unleashed a loud howl, which sounded both human and animal at once, "AAAAARRROOOOOO!" The boy immediately covered his mouth, gulping in fear: the sound was so loud that someone else in the house should've heard him.
Hair began to grow on him, where the torn places of his jumpsuit were, there was now dark brown fur showing. Fur even grew out from under his helmet and grew around his face.
To top this off, a brown wolf tail burst from his jumpsuit. Kick's vision blurred and went dark, and his sclera turned a glowing yellow with his pupils narrowing to slits.
The now beast-turned Kick paused, breathing heavily as the pain passed, the glow of his wound fading. At that moment Kick's older brother Brad came in, kicking open the door as he did so, he was not happy at all. "Hey, dillweed, I'm tryin' to get some shuteye, why don't you do us- well mostly me, a favor and get back in bed and catch some Zs already!" he shouted.
That struck a nerve, Kick's yellow eyes narrowed with anger as he started growling like an angry wolf. "Is that supposed to scare me?" Brad asked tauntingly. Kick turned to face his brother, eyes aglow with rage. Brad snickered for a moment, then his eyes locked with the feral eyes of his brother, who had started advancing towards him on all fours, drool dripped from his mouth like an animal with rabies.
At first Brad thought that this was an early Halloween prank, but after looking at the state Kick was in and looking at the full moon outside, he finally put two and two together.
His brother had turned into a real werewolf, and from the look in Kick's eyes, he really wanted to kill him.
A nervous smile spread across Brad's face as he backed away. "Uh.. N-nice wolfy.. Nice were.. Kick?" he whimpered. With a snarl, Kick leapt at his brother and tackled him.
WereKick began attacking Brad like a wild animal, but Brad eventually managed to knock the beastly boy away from him. Now covered in bleeding scratches, bruises, and ripped clothes, Brad weakly got up and stumbled into the bathroom to help his wounds. Werekick stood up, snarled at Brad, and climbed out of his bedroom window onto the roof.
He leapt off into the air, used his claws to get a grip on a tree as he fell, spun around it fireman-style, tearing away it's bark. He leapt and landed perfectly on the ground without a scratch.
Werekick glanced around at the neighborhood; all he wanted now was to cause chaos and mayhem, a smirk spread across his face, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. He unleashed another howl that could be heard for miles, it did wake some people up. (an exception being for Kick's parents and his sister, who were wearing earmuffs as they slept) He dropped to all fours and ran off to start some chaos, barking furiously as he did so.
