First Kiss? Kiss it Better.

Summary:

Tim and Kon's first kiss doesn't go quite according to plan. The second kiss, that one goes much better.

Work Text:

Contrary to popular belief, Kon was rather inexperienced in the act kissing, while Tim's experience was limited to mainly kissing girls, as he hadn't actually kissed another boy to determine if there was a significant difference between the two.

So when they finally shared their first kiss together, it wasn't quite what either of them expected.

There were no fireworks, no tender brush of each other's lips, nor was there a soft flutter of heartbeats, or even a flush of warmth.

Instead there was a sudden click of teeth as they rushed in too fast, their noses crashing against each other, resulting in a bone chilling crunch from Tim's which caused Kon to shriek in terror over the thought that he had somehow broken Tim's nose, which then prompted Tim to—unintentionally—flail in surprise at the sudden noise and land a rather accurate and nasty punch to Kon's eye.

Needless to say, their first kiss was not very good compared to the slower gentler second kiss they shared after setting Tim's not quite broken nose and retrieving an ice pack for Kon's eye.

Notes:

It takes the boys a few minutes to remember Kon doesn't actually need the ice pack (he's just a drama queen). Tim will always remind Kon that he “Broke my nose!” during their first kiss.
