Work Text:
/N stood in the dimly lit room, her eyes blazing with defiance as she faced her boyfriend, Tom Riddle. They had been arguing for what felt like hours, their voices rising and falling like a stormy sea.
"You realize you're talking to one of the most powerful men in the wizarding world?" Tom's voice was low and dangerous, his dark eyes fixed on Y/N's.
Y/N just rolled her eyes, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. She took a step towards him, her gaze unyielding. "I realize I'm talking to a man who I had on his knees last night saying he'd do whatever I wanted."
Tom's expression flickered with a mixture of frustration and disbelief. He couldn't deny the truth in her words, but it grated against his pride to be reminded of his vulnerability in her presence.
"That was different," he retorted, his voice tight with restrained anger. "You know how to push my buttons, Y/N."
Y/N chuckled softly, her confidence unwavering. "And you know exactly how to kneel before me, Tom."
There was a charged silence between them, the air thick with tension.
Tom's jaw clenched as he struggled to maintain his composure. He was used to being in control, used to bending others to his will with a mere flick of his wand.
But Y/N was different. She challenged him in ways he never imagined, her defiance both infuriating and intoxicating.
"I won't tolerate this insolence, Y/N," Tom finally said, his voice icy and authoritative.
Y/N's smile widened, a playful glint in her eyes. "Then maybe you should learn to enjoy it, Tom."
With that, she turned on her heel and strode out of the room, leaving Tom to grapple with the unsettling realization that in the game of power, love was the ultimate wildcard.
