If you’d had told Alastor a year ago that he would be feeling remorse and heavy guilt for what his being ordered to do, He would of laughed in the most grating way possible and told you that it was the funniest joke he had heard in this after life.
but is he laughing now?
absolutely not.
alastor blames himself for getting too.. attached with the hotel and its residents. For letting his guard down and getting too comfortable with them.
he should of expected it. Really. He knows Lilith would be up and about using him again for her own advantage while she relaxes under the warm sun of heaven’s paradise.
bullshit.
even Alastor, The radio demon— cocky, prideful, and willing to sacrifice everything to get what he wants— couldn’t understand how a mother would be willing to kill her child and her dreams along with it for the sake of keeping her ‘end of the deal’. Even his mother(godbless her) could do better than that.
Alastor will not admit that he may have gotten attached to charlie and the residents in some way, but he will admit that this is far beyond what he believes.
In short? His having second thoughts.
About to push the button that will detonate the Hotel, Alastor finds himself contemplating.
Does he do it?
Will it be worth it? Absolutely. A few deaths all for the chance to see his mother.
But when she finds out what his done to get to that point, Will it still be worth it?
Worth it to see her tear-streaked face, The disappointment and anguish in her tone knowing that her son is and was a serial killer.
Alastor’s fingers graze on the button’s edge, Gently.
He finds himself staring at it for a long time.
