My au:
Ash, Pikachu, meowth, Jessie, and James stopped/slowed down physically aging when Ash was 11 years old because the Pokemon gods/legendaries decided to because they were bored.
In this au I will be using most of the Japanese names for the Kanto region because I like them. The explanation for that is because the characters just went by different names over time because people couldn’t pronounce their names, and the explanation for the Pokémon having different names in the Kanto region is because they just have different names in the Kanto region. (Like how the US uses the Imperial system while everywhere else uses the metric system)
time line: Ash, Pikachu, the Team Rocket trio, Misty, Goh, and Leon are all on the time line in journeys where Ash has already fought Leon once and just caught gangar. Kukui and Lillie’s time line is right after episode 20, A Guardian Rematch.
Satoshi Ash Ketchum:
- He goes by his middle name, ‘Ash’ because people kept mispronouncing ‘Satoshi’ and it was getting annoying
- Slowed down physically aging at 11 but is technically 16. He looks around 13.
- Asexual
- Has a little crush on Goh but is oblivious of his feelings.
- Pan
- Has some scars.
- Is legally an adult because in Kanto people are legally an adult at 10 years old.
- Finds it a little annoying when people treat him like a child because he’s technically an adult.
- Hates having to explain to people that he’s legally an adult by Kanto laws because they always have a million questions and act like it’s a disaster that 10 year olds are legally adults in Kanto. (It is but Ash thinks it’s normal)
- Was exposed to ALOT when he was 10.
- His father figure is professor Kukui.
- His mom wasn’t a great parental figure and was more of a friend to him rather than a mom.
- Is terrified of (cold, deep) water (he’s terrified of drowning in it)
- Speaks multiple languages (some more fluently than others)
- permanently has hat hair.
- Is very used to Pikachu’s electric shocks and they don’t really affect him anymore.
- Goes through culture shock, everyday, all day.
- Smells like ketchup permanently. (because of Pikachu)
- Always has ketchup stains on his clothes. (Also because of Pikachu)
- Cuts his own hair.
- His favorite colour is yellow. (Can you guess why?)
- Can understand most Pokémon. (especially Pikachu)
Pikachu:
- Loves Ketchup.
- Curses like a sailor.
- Is claustrophobic.
- puts ketchup everything.
- Would rather die than evolve into a Raichu.
- Questions Ash’s stupidity sometimes.
Kasumi Williams:
- Goes by Misty because it’s easier for people to pronounce and she’s always loved the name misty.
- Is 16 years old.
- finds all water Pokémon beautiful in their own way.
- thinks that Ash is an idiot.
The team rocket trio:
- Kojiro goes by James because he wanted to match with Jessie.
- Musashi goes by Jessie because she wanted to match with James.
- Jessie and James stopped physically aging when they were 26 years old they are now 28/29 years old.
- meowth and Pikachu hate each other.
Lillie Aether
- 14 or 15 years old.
- She’s a cutie.
Professor Kukui
- Thinks of Ash like his son.
- Is 32 years old.
- Thinks that he knows a decent amount about Ash but when he asks himself any simple question about Ash he can’t seem to come up with an answer.
- Worries for Ash.
Gou
- Spells his name Goh because it’s more practical in other regions.
- Is 14 almost 15 years old.
- In love with Ash.
- His crush on Ash is soo massive that everyone (but ash) knows about it.
Leon Dande [insert last name here]
- is like 20-ish years old
- thinks Ash has potential
- Is curious about Ash
