Chapter 1: Morozov : First Appearance

Chapter Text

You had almost missed it. Almost.
Usually, Sebastian would be the one to call you over- ushering you into his shop. However, in place of Sebastians usual whispering, there seemed to be the sounds of struggling. Choking, maybe.

You had hesitated to even go in at first, but the sounds of thrashing and even more struggled breaths set your fight or flight mode into a frenzy and right now, your body had chose fight. What if Sebastian was the one being hurt??

When you had actually gotten into the room, it wasn't what you were expecting at all. You've seen Sebastian get angry, and *almost* violent, but he never properly went through with it. So, as you stared at him choking out seemingly another prison, you sort of freaked out.

When Sebastian had noticed you, he dropped the man. When you had rushed to the mans side, Sebastian had grabbed you, practically scruffing you. He pulled you closer to him, almost uncharacteristically protective. The man was catching his breath in the meantime.

"This guy doesn't deserve your help," was all Sebastian had said, before letting you go.

When the man stood to his full height, you could suddenly see why Sebastian was so pissed. The man had readjusted his hat, which clearly showed he was working for Urbanshade. You weren't sure how you hadn't noticed it before, considering his very obvious scientist uniform, and the fact that Sebastian had attacked him.
The worker didn't stay for long, for obvious reasons. He only passed you a simple bow of his head, before scurrying off.

"Hope Blitz finishes him off," Sebastian had grumbled.
"Sorry about that, my friend. Couldn't hold my temper around him... too bad I couldn't have actually killed him," he had scoffed.

"Well, enough about that! Shops open."

And with that, it seemed Sebastian was done with the topic. Even if you itched to press on about what happened, you decided not to piss Sebastian off today. Especially not after what you just witnessed.

After buying practically everything you could, ignoring the empty spot on the desk where Sebastian's file would be, you exchanged your goodbyes with Sebastian and left.

At the back of your mind, you can't help but think that you'd be seeing that researcher far more from now on.
