Summary:

A story about an elven pirate and a reincarnated god.

Notes:

Im trying to write an original story i want to hear any advice that anyone has, no matter what. Spelling is obviously going to have to be touched up but if you have character ideas, and ESPECIALLY information on pirates and renaissance clothing i would love it so much

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

standing on the bow of a seasoaked ship is Asteroth, an elven pirate. he stares into the rough waves, lost in thought. as he’s brooding, a particularly large wave crashes down onto the deck, soaking him. “goddamit…”. he grumbles, wiping the salty water from his eyes and pressing his fingertips to the bridge of his nose. he breathes deeply, silently enjoying the salty sea air, and wipes more saltwater from his face. off in the distance he can see the next port, with a few people bustling about, fetching nets and other things needed to manage incoming and outgoing ships. as he nears the shore, Asteroth prepares to dock, pulling up masts and manning the rudders of his one-manned ship. He made quick work of docking, tossing a few coins to a dockworker to keep watch over the ship. He walks through the bustling seaport, looking unamused and disinterested as he looks at the shops and market stalls. He only half listens to conversations as he passes by people, only caring for the larger, more important news. But, discovering nothing new, he focuses his efforts on inspecting produce, and finding breads, cheeses and premade soups that will last on his ship. After he pays, he begins to walk again, but stops short, his eye catching on a commotion a short bit away. It’s a man. Slim, with reddish hair and more freckles than he’d ever seen, and eyes a bright, lively green. He seems to be in an argument with two other men, much taller and stronger looking than him, and they seem to be trying to get the redhead to go with them, which the redhead continues to refuse. Asteroth, surprisingly, is intrigued, moving closer to listen in on the conversation.
“Im not going back.” The redhead says, his voice surprisingly firm.
“Of course you are. You have to. Boss says so.” One of the burly men says, his voice deep and gravely. The redhead takes a step back, crossing his arms, drawing Asteroths attention to his clothing. He almost scoffs out loud, the redhead is wearing a faded white doublet, unbuttoned almost all the way down his chest, revealing much of his lean frame, despite the cold weather. He also wear a pair of dark colored breeches, tight enough to completely lack modesty. Asteroth could begin to guess what the redheads job was, a courtesan, which led him to believe the redhead was trying to leave that job. Despite his general distaste for the profession, he could see why the redhead wanted to leave, but the men kept pushing the redhead to go back, which Asteroth disliked even more.
One of the men tries to grab on to the redheads arm, pulling him towards what could only be the brothel where he mustve worked. The redhead tries to pull away, barely hiding his discomfort.
“Let me go!” He exclaims, earning a harsher pull from the man.
“Keep your voice down Jasper. Just because your boss’s favorite doesnt mean you get to cause a scene.” The man retorts. The mans tone and obvious dismissal of the redhead- Jasper- made Asteroths skin crawl. Finally, having enough of the men and their actions, he steps forward, pishing his nerves to the side, and wiping an anxiously sweaty hand before placing a it on the mans wrist, his grip tight and almost bruising.
“I think you should leave the redhead be.” He says, putting on a fake show of being confident and conceded. The men falter for a moment, then smirk, obviously overconfident in their own skills.
Ending here for now! Please tell me how you like it and anything you think jeeds fixing and also any plot holes i mightve missed!
