The Girl Who Saw Tomorrow (Book 1)

Summary:

❝I solemnly swear that I am up to no good...❞

Margaret Adelaide Xenakis had a pretty normal life until the age of 14. And then she got struck by lightning.

As if nature's unnecessary assault was not enough, it leaves her with 'voodoo stuff' instead - powers of telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation, and whatnot.

Now at 16, trying to deal with the loss of her twin brother while suppressing her destructive powers, the struggling teen has much on her platter already.

When she gets struck by lightning once again and wakes up in an unfamiliar place surrounded by way too many redheads, a bushy-haired girl and a bespectacled boy with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead... Let's just say Margaret's life might've gotten weirder than she could have ever imagined.

Reading the Harry Potter books had been just a hobby. But suddenly, Margaret is burdened with the weight of knowing the future. She has to not only weave her way through the Wizarding World and fight in a war she had believed was fictional, but also save everyone who did not deserve to die in the crossfire.

Talk about tough luck.

Hello & Welcome!

This story was written back in 2019-2020 and posted during the lockdown. I wanted to share this series with a broader audience here on AO3.

There are 3 books in The Girl Who Saw Tomorrow Series:
Book 1: Set in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, written in 2019-20, approx. 290K words long.
Book 2: Set in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, written in 2021-23, approx. 320K words long.
Book 3: Set in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in progress.

Books 1 & 2 are completed and available on Wattpad under my username "bugsies", and Book 3 is published, and currently ongoing with regular updates.

This story is very very special to my heart. I began writing it at a time when I was lost and had no idea what I wanted from the future. So I turned to the comfort and the nostalgia of the past, of Harry Potter and the 90s era it is set in. Margaret's story has been a constant in my life for four years now, being a warm hug and a welcomed escape into the Wizarding World whenever I need it.

As the story goes on, the world of Harry Potter expands beyond what we saw in the books and movies. I've written this bearing in mind the complexities of a story told and retold a million times, mingled with my own flare of originality. There is something here for everyone, as long as you've got an open mind.

I truly hope you enjoy this reading journey ahead!
