Chapter Text

John Watson was called when he's in middle of his lunch, which contains a bag of compressed biscuits, a can of beans and a cup of cold water. Just as he was chewing mechanically and almost fell asleep, his millitary pager rang up:URGENT,Dr. Watson, Battle-Medic Division – Report to HQ for immediate deployment. Priority: Holmes. Mana Sickness + Spectral Trauma. Authorization: Command.
He jumped up immediately  like he was pricked by a burning needle ,"Mary!",he shouted to the nurse "HQ,bring the gurney."
As he swiftly barged into the HQ office, he saw general Mycroft Holmes ,Chief of Intelligence and Strategic Operation,is kneeling on the floor, holding the trembling patient's upper body so he could lie on his thighs, with other hand put around the patient's neck. Sherlock Holmes ,the allegedly patient, is grabbing the general's wrist tightly ,face pale as paper, trembling nonstop, covered with cold sweat. His lips opened mildly, because of the retching. But his mind was wide awoke, his silver grey eyes immediately turned to Watson alertly as he stepped into the room.
He looks shattered, was the first thought Dr. Watson came to his mind as he laid his eyes on Sherlock Holmes .

He rushed to the patient's side to check his pulse, the skin he touched was wet and freezingly cold, the heart rate was too high. Hypothermia, Watson frowned. He noticed the patient is controlling his breath to fight the severe pain. Watson took Sherlock's head in his arms slowly and gently, put one hand on his heart place, and started whispering the vitali surge spell. A surge of golden energy ripples between his fingers and flows into the patient's body. Sherlock's breathing steadies, and his strength returns, allowing him to survive until more help can be provided. The spell effect is temporary, the nurse had the gurney waiting by the door, Watson and Mycroft lifted Sherlock up together and put him on the gurney carefully.

On the way they transferred him to the vacant operating room, Mycroft briefly told Watson his brother's condition:”his teammate injected him the vampire serum in first aid package, I just injected him the barrier serum, his mana was dried and was exposed to a high level magician weapon for a long time. Had a history of ghostfire potion abuse.” The General was forced to stop his pace before the operation room.”please….” He swallowed the rest of the sentence along with his tears. Save him.
