Today, Shanks is reborn.
He went back to when he was still a simple child who didn't understand the ways of the world, only cared about ice cream and chocolate.
Of course he didn't come back with no target, he came for his unfinished regret in future, to marry Buggy.
Such a strong obsession was discovered when Shanks finally found true love in middle age. Unfortunately it was too late Buggy already had tons of resentment reasons to reject Shanks, even until the end of life can’t change his mind. Shanks turned grief into strength to reverse time, and try to fix every mistake he made.
Something different is, he doesn’t have all his memories.
He doesn’t have memories about how he made Buggy mad, sad, or anything else not good. That’s bad, probably because there's no free second chances to travel back in time. Fortunately, there is a guide who reminds him every time he did to lose favorability from Buggy.
He opens up his eyes, it’s nostalgic.
The old bedroom, drawings on the wall, with different feelings. Mostly everybody misses their childhood, so do Shanks. As he is still reminiscing, a careful tiptoe footstep walks into his room.
“I couldn’t sleep, can I sleep with you Shanks?”
It’s impossible for Buggy to sleep with Shanks, It's true that reincarnation was not in vain. Two five year old boys staring at each other, one is afraid with a hint of expectation, the other is excited but a bit of a perverted expression. “You ok Shanks? You… look kinda weird.” It’s true, Shanks himself in the mirror too, however he couldn’t refuse, Buggy is too adorable. Sounds like pedophilia, but you can’t be a pedophilia as you are a child too, although he had a mature mind. Anyway it only counts as puppy Love.
Right Shanks wanted to refuse it, not because of special issues, it was just he missed this place so much that he wanted to explore first, too take a look at this old building in the old memories, and there wouldn’t be much emotional matters during childhood right? Next second the guide warned him wrong. First came a screen with pauses in the time area, then displayed a hypothesis of his choice.
Shanks refused Buggy, this was the first time that little Buggy experienced disappointment and heartbreak. Later on he tossed and turned for several hours alone then got into sleep. The seeds of hatred for Shanks were sown now.
As expected of Shanks, he almost succeeded in breaking Buggy’s heart in less than a minute. At this time, this also made Shanks realize how low his emotional intelligence was. Back to where he came from Shanks hastily accepts Buggy. And then carried him to his bed.
“I didn’t bring my pillows yet, should I go back and get it?” Buggy has been dragged into Shanks’s quilt. “Nah, it’s too cold outside, just stay with me, it will be warm.”
“Okay.” Buggy believed it easily. The behavior of a child cannot fully reflect their future personality. Shanks uses this point to make a lot of happiness that he knows he needs to buy a happily Ever After Insurance by the time he grows up. “Shanks? You are kind… strange today. You looked excited, and I think it’s too warm in this quilt.” Buggy noticed his brother wasn’t normal, he usually won’t be that passionate about any of his orders, he doesn’t like to sleep at 8 PM, and he won’t share his quilt unless there is no choice.
“It’s because I want to make you happy, Buggy.” With a big and sunny smile, Buggy sleeps peacefully.
Although Shanks really wants to explore this old home, letting Buggy feel loved is his main course. Additionally, he wonders what makes Buggy mad.
