Chapter 1: The Start

Chapter Text

Yor Forger had just finished a long day of work, her mind still buzzing with the tasks she had accomplished. As she walked through the door of her cozy home, she was greeted by the sight of her husband, Loid, bustling around the kitchen. He was humming softly to himself, clearly in a good mood.

"Welcome home, Yor!" Loid called out, flashing her a warm smile. "I thought I'd surprise you with dinner tonight."

Yor’s eyes softened at the sight. She was always touched by Loid’s thoughtful gestures. "You didn't have to do that, Loid. But I’m glad you did."

Loid looked up from the stove, his eyes twinkling. "I wanted to. You work so hard, and I figured you could use a little extra care tonight."

As Yor settled at the dining table, Loid brought over a steaming plate of one of her favorite dishes, spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce. The aroma filled the room, and Yor’s stomach rumbled in anticipation.

Loid served her with a flourish. "I hope it’s as good as it smells."

Yor took a bite, her face lighting up. "This is amazing, Loid. You really outdid yourself."

They chatted about their day while enjoying the meal, the conversation flowing easily and filled with laughter. After dinner, Loid took Yor's hand and led her to the living room, where a soft glow from the fireplace created a cozy ambiance.

"There's something else," Loid said with a mischievous grin. He pulled out a small box from behind his back and handed it to Yor.

Yor's eyes widened in surprise. "What's this?"

"Open it and see," Loid encouraged.

With delicate fingers, Yor untied the ribbon and lifted the lid. Inside was a delicate silver bracelet with a heart-shaped charm. It was simple, yet elegant, and it took her breath away.

"I saw this and thought of you," Loid said softly. "You always make me feel special, and I wanted to give you something to remind you of that."

Tears of joy welled up in Yor’s eyes. She reached out and hugged Loid tightly. "Thank you, Loid. This means so much to me."

Loid gently held her close, his heart swelling with love. "You deserve all the happiness in the world, Yor."

They stayed like that for a while, simply enjoying each other's presence. As they finally pulled away, Yor smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling with affection.

"Let’s make tonight about us," she suggested. "No work, no distractions—just us."

Loid nodded, his heart full. "That sounds perfect."

As the evening wore on, they curled up together on the sofa, sharing stories, laughter, and a sense of contentment that only came from being in each other’s arms. In that simple, quiet moment, Yor and Loid found a profound joy in their love—a love that was gentle, unwavering, and endlessly comforting.

And so, as the night deepened, they fell asleep wrapped in each other’s embrace, knowing that no matter what challenges lay ahead, their hearts would always find their way back to one another.
