The Bastard Münech team plus Rin were reunited on a table in the canteen. Kurona has been struggling to shuffle a deck of playing cards while the others are waiting for him to show his abilities to perform magic tricks; Isagi has been trying to record him.
“How long is it going to take?” Rin was starting to get impatient, Kurona already let some of the cards fall for the third time.
“I’m trying, ok?” Rin wasn’t the one about to lose it, “it’s more complicated than I thought…”
“You should have watched a tutorial,” “I did!” Kunigami just continued watching as the shorter male tried to pile up the cards.
As Kurona seemed like he was about to give up, Ness walked in. Even though he was accompanied by Grim and Gesner, he walked as if he were in his own world.
“Ness!” The germans turned their heads. Hiori was gesturing for them to come to their table.
“NessNess, do you know how to do magic tricks, tricks?”
The midfielder looked at them with a weird look, but eventually nodded. Kurona handed him the messed up deck and Alexis started to put it in place. Meanwhile, Grim and Gesner whispered something between themselves, both with a grin on their faces. Ness shuffled the cards with ease, and extended them to the group.
“Choose a card and memorize it. Then, put it back, I won’t look.”
Kurona, Yukimiya and Hiori grabbed one card each and put it back on the pile as they were told. Ness started shuffling the cards again, this time showing off his shuffling techniques abilities; he made it look easy! Everyone was staring trying to follow up to Ness’ speed. He also moved his hands as if he were casting a spell on the deck, and finally he snapped his fingers and extended the pile so the cards were visible.
“Are those the ones you chose?” He asked as he pulled three random cards. They shook their heads. “And what about these three?” Another no. “And… these?” Nope.
He sighed as he folded the pile back to a stack, as if he was giving up. But then,
“What about the ones behind your ears?” Ness had a little smile on his face.
Hiori, Kurona and Yukimiya hurriedly checked to find that indeed, the cards that they chose appeared magically behind their ears. Everyone stared with surprise, even Rin couldn’t believe it.
“Woah, amazing!”
“Oh my, that’s really impressive!”
“How'd you do that?”
“A magician doesn’t reveal their secrets,” Ness said as he winked at them.
“They don’t call Alexis “The magician” for nothing!” Gesner puffed proudly.
They all still looked at the cards, still surprised by how they could have appeared when they were all staring at Ness.
“That was so cool, NessNess,” Kurona standed from his seat and approached Ness, looking at the taller boy with sparkling eyes .“Can you teach me some tricks too, pleaseee?”
Ness couldn’t deny the request after being asked with such a cute expression. “I could try before going back to Germany.”
