Work Text:

1. The Training Ground Fluster

The students of Class 1-A were deep into their second year, and training sessions had only become more intense. The once-overwhelming pressure of sparring had become routine for most, but when Izuku and Katsuki were paired together, the usual tension took on a new, unspoken intensity.

As the match began, everyone was on edge, anticipating the usual fireworks. But Izuku, with a mischievous glint in his eye, zipped towards Katsuki, not with the intent to strike, but to get close. He leaned in, his voice a low murmur meant only for Katsuki's ears. “Katsuki, you’re looking really good today.”

Katsuki’s eyes widened in surprise, and for a split second, his concentration wavered. The usual fire in his eyes flickered, replaced by a faint blush that spread across his cheeks. It was so unlike him—so unexpected—that it caught everyone off guard. Katsuki quickly tried to regain his composure, but the damage was done.

“Are you serious? Right in the middle of training?” Mina shouted from the sidelines, throwing her hands up in exasperation.

Kirishima chuckled, shaking his head with a knowing smile. “They’re unstoppable. Not even training can keep them apart.”

But despite their banter, the rest of the class couldn’t help but be drawn into the tension between the two. Izuku, sensing his advantage, smirked and gave Katsuki a playful wink. Katsuki, refusing to be outdone, gritted his teeth and tried to focus on the battle, but the lingering heat in his cheeks betrayed him.

For the rest of the match, Katsuki was uncharacteristically off-balance, his usual explosive power tempered by the warm fluttering in his chest. Izuku’s playful comments and the way he kept getting too close only made it worse. It was a losing battle, and when the match finally ended, Katsuki’s frustration was palpable.

As the class dispersed, Uraraka giggled softly. “At least they’re not trying to kill each other anymore.”

“Yeah, but now they’re just… this,” Mina added, gesturing towards the couple as they walked off together, Katsuki still blushing, and Izuku with a smug grin.

2. The Dorm Cooking Disaster

It was supposed to be a simple, communal cooking night in the dorms—a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company. But with Izuku and Katsuki in the kitchen, “simple” was the last thing on the menu.

Izuku had insisted on helping Katsuki, despite the latter’s protests. The two were stationed at the counter, chopping vegetables for a stir-fry. Katsuki, as expected, was precise and efficient, but Izuku, ever the strategist, decided to spice things up.

Sneaking up behind Katsuki, Izuku wrapped his arms around his waist, pressing close as he guided Katsuki’s hands on the knife. “Katsuki, you’re doing great,” he whispered, his breath warm against Katsuki’s ear.

Katsuki’s hands trembled slightly, and the carrot he was chopping almost fell victim to his momentary distraction. His heart was pounding, and he was blushing furiously, but there was no way he was going to let Izuku see how much he was affected. “I don’t need your fucking help, Izuku,” he grumbled under his breath, though he made no move to push him away.

Yaoyorozu, who had been trying to focus on her own task, finally spoke up, her voice polite but strained. “Um, Midoriya, I think the carrots are supposed to be julienned, not… diced.”

Izuku chuckled, not moving from his position. “Oops, our bad, Momo.”

Katsuki shot her a look that was equal parts apology and frustration, but the way his hands were shaking as he chopped was enough to make anyone worry. It didn’t help that Izuku was now pressing even closer, his hands trailing up to rest on Katsuki’s chest as he whispered something unintelligible in his ear.

The other students in the kitchen exchanged glances, some rolling their eyes, others stifling giggles. It was clear that the couple was in their own little world, completely oblivious to the chaos they were causing.

“Can you two not turn cooking into a PDA fest?” Kaminari finally blurted out, exasperated.

Izuku just smiled sweetly, while Katsuki muttered something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like a curse. But despite his protests, Katsuki’s body language betrayed him—he was leaning into Izuku’s touch, his defenses crumbling in the face of the affection.

As the night wore on, the meal was finally finished—though it was a miracle they hadn’t burnt the kitchen down with the amount of distracted cooking going on. When they all sat down to eat, Katsuki was still blushing, though he did his best to hide it by stuffing his face with food.

Izuku, on the other hand, looked entirely too pleased with himself, his eyes glinting with mischief every time he caught Katsuki’s gaze. It was clear to everyone that the meal, while delicious, was secondary to the ongoing battle of wits and affection between the two.

3. The Study Session Slip-Up

With second-year studies in full swing, the pressure was on. Group study sessions in the common room had become a regular occurrence, with everyone pitching in to help each other stay on top of their work. However, with Izuku and Katsuki studying side by side, focus was a rare commodity.

As Izuku tried to explain a particularly difficult concept to Katsuki, his hand drifted over, fingers brushing against Katsuki’s under the table. It started innocently enough, but soon, their fingers were intertwined, and Katsuki’s usual sharp focus was nowhere to be found.

“Midoriya, Bakugo, are you even paying attention?” Todoroki’s voice cut through the haze, his expression one of mild annoyance.

Katsuki snapped back to reality, pulling his hand away as if it had been burned. But the damage was done—his concentration was shot, and the warmth lingering from Izuku’s touch was distracting in a way that made studying nearly impossible.

Izuku just smiled sheepishly, his gaze flicking back to his notes. “Sorry, Shouto. We were just… uh… reviewing.”

Jirou sighed, putting her pen down and giving them a pointed look. “It’s like they’re in their own little world. How do they even manage to study like this?”

Kirishima, ever the peacemaker, laughed softly. “Come on, guys, cut them some slack. Let those two lovebirds be they can be smitten for all I care.”

“Yeah, but do they have to be so… obvious about it?” Mina teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Katsuki, his face still flushed, growled under his breath, clearly embarrassed by the attention. “Shut up the fuck up, idiots.”

Izuku, for his part, seemed completely unfazed by the teasing. If anything, he seemed more confident, more at ease now that everyone knew about their relationship. He reached over, giving Katsuki’s hand a reassuring squeeze before turning back to his notes.

Katsuki tried to focus, but his mind kept drifting back to the warmth of Izuku’s hand, the soft way his voice had murmured encouragement earlier. It was maddening, and yet… he couldn’t bring himself to pull away.

The study session continued, though with far less productivity than usual. But for Izuku and Katsuki, that was just fine.

4. The Movie Night Cuddle

Movie nights had always been a treasured tradition for Class 1-A—a chance to unwind and forget about the pressures of hero training for a few hours. But ever since Izuku and Katsuki had started dating, these nights had taken on a new, distinctly affectionate vibe.

As the latest blockbuster played on the screen, Izuku casually draped an arm over Katsuki’s shoulders, pulling him close. Katsuki stiffened at first, his instincts screaming at him to pull away. But as Izuku’s hand began to gently stroke his arm, he found himself relaxing, the tension melting away as he leaned into the embrace.

Katsuki’s eyes flickered around the room, half-expecting someone to make a comment. But to his surprise, most of the class seemed too engrossed in the movie to notice. Or maybe they were just too used to it by now.

But that didn’t mean they weren’t paying attention.

By the time the credits started rolling, Kaminari had had enough. He grabbed a nearby pillow and tossed it at the couple, his expression one of playful exasperation. “Can you two at least try not to be so cute during movie night? Some of us are trying to watch!”

Izuku caught the pillow with a grin, pulling Katsuki closer in retaliation. “Sorry, Kaminari. We’ll try to tone it down.”

Katsuki’s blush deepened, and he shot Kaminari a half-hearted glare, but the effect was ruined by the way he was still leaning into Izuku’s side.

Mina, who had been watching the whole exchange with barely concealed amusement, giggled softly. “You know, I think they’re actually getting worse. Like, before, they’d at least pretend to be focused on the movie.”

“Yeah, now they’re just… this,” Kirishima added, gesturing vaguely at the couple.

Katsuki growled in response, but there was no real heat behind it. Izuku’s fingers were still twirling through his hair, and despite himself Katsuki found it hard to stay mad. The gentle motion was soothing, and he could feel the tension in his body gradually easing. It was frustrating, how easily Izuku could get under his skin, but in moments like this, it was impossible to stay annoyed for long.

The rest of the class tried to refocus and started a new movie, but it was hard to ignore the couple snuggled up on the couch. Izuku’s thumb absentmindedly brushed against Katsuki’s shoulder, and Katsuki’s blush, though faint, never quite faded.

As the credits rolled, and the lights came back on, everyone started to stretch and yawn. But Izuku and Katsuki remained in their little world, Izuku’s hand still playing with Katsuki’s hair, Katsuki resting his head on Izuku’s shoulder.

“Alright, that’s it,” Kaminari groaned, stretching out his legs. “Next time, we’re setting a ‘no cuddling’ rule. I’m trying to watch explosions, not witness a romance drama.”

The group laughed, but Katsuki merely grunted, half-heartedly swatting at Kaminari’s comment with one hand while the other stayed entwined with Izuku’s. Izuku chuckled, nuzzling closer to Katsuki, unfazed by the teasing.

“Yeah, good luck with that,” Kirishima remarked, smiling at the sight of his friends. “I think they’re officially a package deal now.”

Mina sighed dramatically, a playful pout on her lips. “I was hoping for a peaceful movie night, but I guess love conquers all, huh?”

As the group began to disperse, packing away the popcorn bowls and blankets, Izuku and Katsuki lingered on the couch a little longer. Katsuki’s tough exterior had softened, and he allowed himself to relax completely against Izuku, his eyes half-closed.

Izuku, sensing Katsuki’s comfort, leaned down to press a soft kiss to his temple. “You okay?” he whispered, his voice low and caring.

Katsuki huffed, his blush deepening. “Tch, yeah… Just don’t get used to it.”

Izuku’s smile was warm, and he squeezed Katsuki’s shoulder gently. “I wouldn’t dream of it.”

5. The Shopping Trip Scandal

It was a rare weekend off, and Class 2-A decided to spend it at the mall, enjoying a much-needed break from their grueling training. It was supposed to be a relaxing trip—just some shopping, maybe a bite to eat—but with Izuku and Katsuki in tow, things took an unexpected turn.

As the group wandered through the bustling shops, Katsuki found his hand slipping into Izuku’s without much thought. The simple gesture was enough to make his heart race, but the warmth of Izuku’s hand was too comforting to resist. Surprisingly, Katsuki didn’t pull away, and instead, allowed himself to enjoy the rare moment of affection in public.

Izuku noticed the unusual tenderness in Katsuki’s actions and smiled softly, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “There’s this shop up ahead that I think you’ll like,” he said, his voice full of warmth as they strolled past various storefronts.

They paused in front of a store window, and Izuku pointed out a few items he thought Katsuki might like—a sleek black jacket, a pair of rugged boots. His voice was soft, filled with affection, as he spoke. “These would look great on you, Kacchan.”

Katsuki, trying to mask the pink tinge creeping up his neck, mumbled something under his breath. But his hand never left Izuku’s, and the two continued to browse, seemingly oblivious to the rest of the world.

From a distance, Sero sighed, watching them with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. “Do they even know we’re here? Or are we just background characters in their love story?”

Mina giggled, nudging him playfully. “Just let them be. It’s kind of sweet, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, but it’s also kind of weird,” Tsuyu chimed in, watching as Izuku and Katsuki disappeared into another store. “Like, Bakugo being all soft? Who would’ve thought?”

Uraraka, always the optimist, smiled. “I think it’s nice. They’re just being themselves.”

Katsuki, still blushing furiously, caught snippets of their conversation and grumbled something unintelligible under his breath. But despite his embarrassment, he didn’t let go of Izuku’s hand. If anything, he held on a little tighter.

Izuku noticed, and without missing a beat, leaned in to whisper, “Don’t worry about them. It’s just us right now.”

Katsuki’s heart skipped a beat at the words, and though he’d never admit it out loud, he was grateful for Izuku’s calm presence. With a final glance at the others, Katsuki allowed himself to fully enjoy the day, hand in hand with the person he cared about most.

6. The Training Ground Repeat

Another day, another intense training session. The class had come to expect these sparring matches between Izuku and Katsuki to be a spectacle, though the way they had been acting lately was starting to become a running joke.

As the match began, everyone watched with bated breath. They were used to the explosive displays of power, the fiery determination on Katsuki’s face, and the calculated precision in Izuku’s movements. But today, something was different.

Izuku, with that same mischievous glint in his eyes, took advantage of a brief pause in the battle to get close—too close. Before Katsuki could react, Izuku leaned in, whispering something that only Katsuki could hear.

Katsuki’s face turned a deep shade of red, his usual composure shattered in an instant. His fists clenched at his sides, and for a moment, he looked like he was about to explode—not with his Quirk, but with sheer embarrassment.

“Seriously?” Mina groaned from the sidelines, burying her face in her hands. “We’re never going to get any actual training done with those two around.”

Shinsou, who had been watching the exchange with a bemused smile, shrugged. “At least they’re not blowing each other up."

Uraraka, always the peacemaker, offered a small smile. “At least they’re happy, right?”

Despite the teasing, the class couldn’t help but feel a twinge of admiration. The way Izuku and Katsuki moved around each other—almost like a dance—was mesmerizing. Even in the midst of battle, there was an unspoken connection, a bond that went beyond mere rivalry.

Izuku, sensing Katsuki’s flustered state, pressed his advantage, moving closer with a smirk that would have looked out of place on anyone else. Katsuki, struggling to maintain his composure, tried to push him away, but the warmth in Izuku’s eyes made it impossible to stay mad.

As the match finally drew to a close, Katsuki was left panting, his face still flushed, while Izuku stood a few feet away, looking entirely too pleased with himself. The rest of the class exchanged knowing looks, half expecting Katsuki to explode in frustration.

But instead, Katsuki just glared at Izuku, his blush deepening as he muttered, “Damn nerd.”

Izuku’s smile widened, and he shrugged, not at all offended by the insult. “You love it.”

Katsuki’s eyes flicked to the side, avoiding Izuku’s gaze as he grumbled, “Shut up.”

The class watched as the two walked off together, the usual tension replaced by a different kind of electricity. There was a sense of finality in the air, as if this was just how things were meant to be.

And for Class 2-A, that was more than enough.

7. The Final Straw

The last straw came during a class discussion. Aizawa had just finished explaining their next assignment, his usual monotone voice lulling the students into a false sense of security. But then Izuku leaned over to Katsuki, whispering something that made Katsuki’s ears turn bright red.

It was subtle, barely noticeable, but Aizawa, ever the observant teacher, caught it immediately. He sighed heavily, clearly exasperated. “Midoriya, Bakugo, if you’re done with your personal conversation, perhaps you could join the rest of the class in paying attention?”

The class erupted into laughter, the tension of the previous moments dissipating in an instant. Even Aizawa couldn’t hide a small smirk as he watched Katsuki’s face go from red to crimson.

Katsuki tried to glare at Izuku, but the fondness in his eyes betrayed him. There was no hiding the fact that he was hopelessly, undeniably in love with the green-haired hero beside him.

“Sorry, Sensei,” Izuku replied, his voice calm and respectful as he gave Katsuki’s hand a reassuring squeeze under the desk.

Katsuki muttered something unintelligible, his voice low and gruff, but the faint smile on his lips said more than words ever could.

For the rest of the class, the dynamic between the two was impossible to ignore. Izuku’s gentle, supportive presence, and Katsuki’s begrudging acceptance of that support, had become a staple in their everyday lives. Ever since they had revealed their relationship, Class 1-A had to adjust to a new normal—one where Izuku and Katsuki’s love was on full display.

And while it could be exasperating at times, none of them would have it any other way. They were genuinely happy for their friends, even if it meant enduring a daily dose of their endless affection.

The class tried to focus on the rest of the lesson, but it was hard to ignore the way Izuku’s thumb gently rubbed circles on the back of Katsuki’s hand under the desk. Katsuki, for all his bluster and bravado, didn’t pull away. Instead, he let out a low, almost inaudible sigh, the corners of his mouth twitching up in a small, barely-there smile.

When the bell finally rang, signaling the end of the lesson, Katsuki was the first to bolt out of his seat, dragging Izuku with him. The rest of the class watched them go, a mix of amusement and fondness in their eyes.

"They’re like an old married couple,” Shouji remarked, leaning back in his chair with a grin.

Jirou smirked, her gaze following the pair as they exited the classroom. “Yeah, but at least they’re not fighting anymore. I’ll take this over their usual shouting matches any day.”

“True,” Todoroki added, his voice as calm as ever. “They seem… happier now.”

Uraraka, ever the romantic, smiled softly. “Love does that to people.”

As they packed up their things and headed out of the classroom, the students of Class 1-A couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. Sure, Izuku and Katsuki’s relationship could be a bit much at times, but it was also a reminder that even in the chaos of their lives, there was room for love and happiness.

And in the end, that was something worth celebrating.

Bonus: The Unfortunate Discovery

It was late at night, and the dorms were unusually quiet. Most of Class 1-A had already turned in for the night, but a few students were still up, sneaking around for a midnight snack.

As they passed by Bakugo’s room, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina paused, hearing soft murmurs from inside. Curiosity piqued, they exchanged glances.

“Are they… talking?” Kaminari whispered, his voice barely audible.

Mina smirked, nudging Kirishima. “Let’s see what they’re up to.”

Carefully, they cracked the door open just enough to peek inside. The sight that greeted them was something they weren’t quite prepared for.

Izuku was sitting on the bed, Katsuki in his lap, arms wrapped around each other in a way that left no room for interpretation. Katsuki’s usual tough demeanor was nowhere to be seen—his face was flushed, and he was clearly melting under Izuku’s touch.

The trio froze, realizing they’d just walked in on a very intimate moment. But before they could pull away, Izuku’s eyes flicked over to the door, meeting theirs through the small gap.

For a split second, Izuku’s expression didn’t change. But then, his eyes narrowed, a subtle but unmistakable glare that sent chills down their spines. He knew they were watching, and he was not pleased.

Mina, Kaminari, and Kirishima felt their hearts skip a beat as they quickly pulled the door shut, holding their breaths in fear of what might happen next.

They stumbled back into the hallway, eyes wide with panic.

“Did he just… did he just glare at us?” Kaminari whispered, barely able to believe what had just happened.

Kirishima nodded, his face pale. “I think we should leave. Now.”

Mina, still shaken, managed a nervous laugh. “I’ve never seen Midoriya look like that… I’m scared.”

Without another word, they bolted down the hallway, not daring to look back. As they ran, they couldn’t shake the image of Izuku’s piercing glare from their minds.

Back in the room, Izuku let out a small sigh, shaking his head. “They never learn, do they?”

Katsuki, still blushing furiously, grumbled, “Damn nosy idiots… But you handled it.”

Izuku smiled, pressing a soft kiss to Katsuki’s forehead. “I’ll always have your back, Katsuki.”

As they settled back into their intimate moment, the rest of the dorm remained blissfully unaware of the chaos that had just unfolded in the hallway—except for the three unlucky students who would now think twice before eavesdropping on the couple again.

And with that, the trio learned a valuable lesson: never interrupt Izuku and Katsuki’s alone time, especially if you don’t want to end up on the receiving end of Izuku’s terrifying glare.

Notes:

Midoriya Izuku you fucking tease.

Literally made this at school man. Don't know what possessed me. If you enjoyed reading then I'm glad.
